Well if you didn’t like it up until 22 I doubt that is going to change. I don’t think it’s super well done but this is one of very few Chinese dramas with realistic characters. You aren’t supposed to like any of them. Moxi is pretty much a Tang dynasty Scarlett O’Hara. She doesn’t get it and she never will. That is what is tragic about her.

not enough episodes for this to make a turnaround for me.. had such high hopes too. There's just a weird disconnect…
Yeah they never really properly fleshed out the back ground of the political conflict and factions. That part makes the least sense. I didn't mind the school arc though bc it is true that they were were open to educating women in that dynasty.

Well she may very quickly learn that Mama Gu is not so easy to mess with as Mama Liu was. I definitely think she shoved her off the cliff. No good deed goes unpunished.
