I am watching it on LongTV which is an internet box that connects to the TV that you can get on Shopee or Lazada. The interphase is not great but it has everything on there, mostly Chinese subtitles only.

I thought I saw it raw on Myasian artist or dramacool.

Nope, not at all - I only noted in that first sentence that drama was criticized by book readers for straying from the novel. The rest of it is all related to how the DRAMA is written.

No way - it won't complete filming for another couple of months. Best case it will come late 2024 but more likely in 2025. Censorship review and post production takes an enormous amount of time.

Even though I like him, I am not thrilled that RJL is in this drama either bc I don't think he should make romance dramas given how uptight he is about intimate scenes. But I love this director, she is my absolute favorite and I think a good director can really bring out the best in an actor. And unlike many people, I don't mind Zu'er at all, I actually really like her. I hope RJL is dubbed in this bc I think his line delivery is meh but all things considered I am anticipating this with fingers crossed. I have a feeling RJL and SZE's chemistry is going to be pretty good...

I am watching on my internet box but it's on Bilibili - someone linked it on the drama page. You just have to watch in reverse order. I think it's also on the usual drama cool etc sites.

I gave up on it at ep 4. The story seems ok but its supposed to be action heavy and the director's camera language is so sloppy and very much like what you describe above. The whole thing reeks of a cheap and cheesy old low budget production.

You mean An Ancient Love Song? Not sure - most likely got voted down bc there are no English subs yet. First 4 episodes are very good - the director is young and up and coming.

They whitewashed TTJ a lot from the novel but they never made conforming changes to the way Susu reacts to him. So I think the biggest issue is the writers were really lazy. That said, Bai Lu was not really in character either bc if she were she would show more conflict in how her facial expressions and other gestures. It really was not her best role. Luo Yunxi totally held this show together by himself.

Zhang Yaqin is terrific but sadly she doesn’t have much pipeline. Yeah Gone with the Rain started well but tanked. I will finish bc I only have 6 left.
