Lol.. the movie's martial art scenes are a high bar. Very hard to beat. I will be quite satisfied with a little bit lower.

I am sure the movie version is darker and of course these two actors are never going to be as dark, intense and vicious as Chang Chen's Shen Lian. But this is written by the same screenwriter and the director is not Lu Yang but he has worked with Lu Yang on quite a few projects and Lu Yang is producing it. I think he is pretty good martial arts director although I am not sure about storytelling. Should be a pretty good watch but it is too early to say how it compares.

Ah ok - yeah iQiyi has a partnership with Astro so if you are in Malaysia its better to just subscribe to Astro. In any case Astro has the best subs ever, much better than anyone else's. My folks also watch on Astro and my mom's Chinese is not great she likes to have subs. You can also use a VPN, just set it to Hong Kong, your iQiyi will work. I thought they were just behind on subs for Echo but they got to it eventually? It is very embarrassing the Bahasa subs were faster for the English subs for Echo.

Well there wasn't a lot of action in Longxi but there was one intense close combat sequence along the lines of what Lu Yang favors. To me, I like that a lot better than SSFV which is also great but it's mostly wire work, not as intense.

Because both of them try to control/manhandle her but Ye Cha doesn't. And he is hot.

Well it looks like this is an iQiyi in-house production so I assume they own all the broadcast rights. But they may decide to sell the rights/license to other platforms or local TV networks in certain markets. In that case, viewers from those markets will not be able to watch it on iQiyi. All content is distributed by region - that is why even Netflix content is different depending on where you are watching from. It is also why people use VPNs to get around this. In this case, I wouldn't worry about it yet. iQiyi has also occasionally dropped some dramas later on its international platform for translation and other licensing/IP copyright reasons. In that case it comes anyway just maybe with a slight delay.

Interesting article. I would say the Princess Agents ending was actually quite definitive. Sure, there is a 5-10 pct maybe left but only if you are super optimistic. IMHO it actually went off the rails when it went into the SML's story which was a giant yawn. You could say the same for JOL - even if there is no S2, you can think of the ending as THE END. But they are both messy bad endings that a good writer should not choose. Sword Snow Stride and Novoland Eagleflag on the other hand are both slice of life dramas that you can consider ended as far as the main plot is considered. I also had no problem with the so called open endings of Detective L and Ancient Detective either bc all the important questions are asked and answered.

I am so tempted to watch this but I am doing keto at the moment and rice noodles are my downfall!!!
