For sure, she was unnecessarily dumbed down towards the end but some of it is just the reality that her small time and somewhat naive smarts don't go that far in the real world. Frankly some of those mini sub-plots should just be edited out they don't add to the story at all. But without them how is she going to fall off a cliff to be rescued at the last minute?

Yes it did indeed end strongly. Wu Lei’s Fei Liu’s fight scenes in NIF were also amazing I never saw any other kid actor do them so well.

If you liked LDC, the Wind Blows from Longxi, Luoyang, Secret of the Three Kingdoms and all the Antiques dramas (which I don't think are subbed) are written by the same novelist. I think Luoyang is kind of like LDC Lite, it is not the same level to me anyway.
