is there a novel following this drama? where I can read the novel?
No I believe it is an adaptation of Guan Huanqing's famous zaju 杂剧 or Yuan opera 赵盼儿风月救风尘 which roughly means Zhao Pan'er flirts to save a harlot. Not a huge fan of Chinese opera so I am not familiar with the works, just come across it in reading bc its pretty well known.

Usually when they suddenly drop all episodes it is bc drama goes downhill. In my experience its never good when I get a "gift" like this. They didn't do that here but they speeded up. Probably bc a lot of new dramas are launching they want to finish fast.
