And as someone who was traumatized by and lived in daily fear over the domestic terrorism in HK in 2019, let me tell you these were terrorists they were not peaceful protesters. They took over the airport, set bridges, tunnels and subways on fire and even set a harmless old man on fire. This chaos went on for over one year, where every day there was a violent protest around every corner and I lived in terror. I can tell you don't believe Western propaganda on what happened here bc the Western so called credible journalists were the worst, inciting violence from the front lines. It was American sponsored and funded domestic terrorism on Chinese territory. My helper and her friends were offered HK$3k cash (they make ~HK$5k/month) to participate in protests on their off days... imagine that!!! This is well documented with funds traced and frozen by the Chinese government. Ask the Americans how they deal with terrorists. I don't particularly like Liu Yifei's acting but I am damn proud of her for risking pissing off her American fans and standing up for the Chinese and HK Govt's sovereign right to restore order on its territory. Terrorists whether they are Uighurs or Westerners or local HK Chinese should expect to be prosecuted to the maximum extent of the laws. And whatever you want to say about HK police brutality, our police don't carry guns and there are no George Floyds here.

Cantonese has more tones so the range of emotions that can be expressed in music is just broader and the top male stars tend to have deeper toned voices unlike Mando pop where its kind of bland tone. If you google Jackie Cheung and listen to any of his songs you will understand immediately what I mean. Even his Mando-pop songs sound better because he is used to having a much broader emotional range. To me there is no comparison so I yawn through all the OSTs, even for shows I love like WOH.
