What was the capital arc all about? It serves no purpose to add all those characters...I hadn't wondered about LJL's origin throughout plus all there was no complain from the capital about such tea throughout the drama...I don't see what purpose it serves...they could have focused on LJL and RSB's relationship and relaxing of the norms for Rong family. ML's role was reduced to being used by FL throughout...not happy with the ending

I had dropped Glory after episode4..but restarted yesterday and ended up binge-watching..the plot is interesting with all the scheming and gets better with each episode..let's see how the story progresses further

when the FL proposed to SML he rejects her and says "sorry" to which the FL replies that "she'll wait till he falls for her"..the whole fantasizing of a non-existent relation was done by FL...and you rightly pointed out 'what does room-mate crush have anything to do with FL' and also I don't think he needs to clarrify his relationship with her room-mate to the FL when he clearly rejected her..he never gave her false hope

story has depth but the direction I feel is not so good..the story telling makes it look like a regular love story with usual cliches..
I just finished Blood River, VOA which was super thrilling and awesome and intense and wanted something very light after that..so watching this..if you are looking for something simple, cute, light-hearted this is watchable for that

I think SML meant both..he remembered she had told him she'll wait and make him fall in love with her, and later he gets to know the truth and feels he could have lost her, and asks in a round-about way will she come back and FL thinks he is referring to Rong and says "she'll come back"..but he thinks he meant herself and I guess he connected both things to assume that he still had a chance...I think he felt surprised when she hadn't gone abroad to study as he feels he has a chance after his conversation with her which got worse after he saw her with ML..It was entire sequence of events I feel..(I haven't read the novel, these are the way I am watching the drama as it is unfolding)

I remember him being silent always, he even rejected her saying 'sorry' when she proposed to him 1st time, but it was FL who wanted to win him over and promised to wait for him (not siding with SML or FL, just telling the scene how it was shown)..he had an outburst in hotel lobby..and his comment about work seemed like negative psychology to get her to apply at the job fair (based on the actor's expressions)...please remind me of other scenes which show him being emotionally demeaning to her..I don't remeber SML mistreating FL, Rong and the other dorm-mate were manipulating on both sides from what I remember, and the dorm-mates were envious of FL's wealth

I feel the same..if this was Haters to Lovers trope , with SML being ML the comments would probably be different..also I have seen people defend a Red Flag ML and wait for his redemption arc and be fine when FL rejects green flag SML only because he is SML..nice to meet one more person who shares my POV as well..
hope the writers give ZX a redemption arc than make him a psycho SML

my comment is not about XZ vs LYS..it is how I find SML a decent character with a past where he had to survive and met with people who manipulted him and he lost the chance of true love..as of ep19 he seems to be decent..I hope he gets a 2nd chance at love and makes better decisions and choices and drama shows that than make the character a psycho SML ,which happens in many dramas..

my interpretation of scenes is : Rong has been childhood friends with him and he may have told her..how is he to know she is aa manipulator? he is going through tough times and would have probably shared with Rong..
Familiarity feels safer..so I assume he would believe Rong over a stranger who proposed to him..he is as young as FL around 21/22.. and it is clear in the episodes his brother and him were going on that trip and his collegues got included and he had no clue XG was going there too..he does tell his brother not to ever do that once he realises his brother's trick..
also as I have made it clear in my post..everyone is free to interpret scenes as they choose to...That is the beauty of art, multiple interpretations and multiple perspectives..

I feel bad for ZX as he was born to financially difficult family and had to face that and work hard all his life..and when FL proposed to him, I feel he wasn't sure on how to proceed. Also Rong kept feeding him lies about FL...Rong even said that FL had spread around that she gave him money for hus mother's treatment, and someone in that situation wouldn't have time nor energy to process who is right or wrong and would trust someone familiar...it was probably much later by observing her that he started having doubts and eventually realised the mistake he made...and also when he asked FL if she'll come back, FL thought he meant Rong while he was referring to FL..the episode even said the FL saying the lines "one of us was ending the relationship, and the other was starting it"..so there was poor communication and misunderstanding which led to him accusing her at the hotel..
as of now he is being decent and not acting like a psycho SML which happenes in other dramas..hope he greives and let it go in a healthy way and is able to move on, as I feel the character is written as someone who had to work hard from before and has faced challenging situations, but still is decent and knows his boundaries

I have seen some comments speaking negative about the 2nd ML..I feel sad for his character..everyone is entitled to their opinion and their interpretation of characters of fiction, and I'll present mine under comments as it may have some spoilers

Is that Richard Li as one of the suitors? and has he been dubbed? his voice doesn't seem same as in short dramas..
hope he gets ML roles as well soon

true with the 1st statement..if FL was 28+ and acting that way ..That would be immature..someone just out of college, and still handling the way things shown is realistic and shows her strength..and I don't think it's fair to start talking about maturity at 21 or 22..
