What was with that sappy and crappy ending? Lol seriously it was all over the place. Not all shows have to end this predictable! Anyway, ok it started out great I was completely engrossed. Most of the plot twists were good, but it kind of became a bit lack luster after the biggest twist after that it was all just pretty ok. The thing is the show's villains they alluded to hunting people and even cannibalism and rape at one point it should have remained dark. Like who went ok so we were talking about people hunters and chopped up body parts way too long so how about let's get totally cheesy now ^_^ I feel cheated. Anyway, for me it didn't quite have the impact of children of Nobody, Save Me, Circle, etc. But it was entertaining and had some great ideas and all .

My favorite thing about the show was the gritty feel and that the crimes shown and the murders were gruesome. I also love that it's very Nietzsche-esque in that it talks about the struggle of staying "human" when you're so deep in the world of monsters. So a bit nihilistic and dark. It talks about the unfairness of the system like a lot of other dramas but they put their own twist to it. It's just the reason I'm not giving it a higher rating is because overall I struggled a lot to keep watching and there were only ten episodes. Mostly because it was different stories per episode and their own story arc was slow to come but when it did it was done well but anyway it didn't make me feel as connected to the show or characters. Even the camera work overall was rather old school maybe that was also an issue. I feel like if they'd made it a bit edgier like Bad Guys that would have really been better.

Ok someone please tell me what the hell was in that coffee! Lol not going to lie some parts of the drama were clearly made on something more than regular caffeine. That said I really enjoyed it! I'm betting the ending will piss people off for sure lol but it didn't bug me I'm happy for the direction they took. And while it was very well shot and had a pretty engaging story and characters, it was nothing special. That was the only drawback for me. The good part was the bromance and the romance. And it was really funny without being too annoying. So all in all not the best but pretty damn watchable and both male leads are gorgeous and I fell for them both.

MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD >>>

OKay absolutely in my ten rating and fuck sake been a while since I saw a HOT GOD-DAMNED GORGEOUS TOXIC IRREDEEMABLE ML in Iang! And he was so convincing! When he was playing the sheltered but intriguing Prince Charming who's a little forceful but leaves you alone and doesn't cross his limits. And when he turns into this TOXIC, YOU GET BURNED IF YOU GO NEAR HIM IRREDEEMABLE ANTAGONIST he played it just as well.

And okay I was BIG TIME on Iang Kaew ship I even love me some Stockholm syndrome but by ep 15 even I JUMPED SHIP FOR NEW KAEW lol I mean if your ship drowns might as well get a lifeboat.

Because fucking Ja and Tom needed to get something in return for the way life's been for them. How can you not root for them after BOTH their rich asshole entitled prick families treated them.

Because even Ae for all her lip service about rich poor equality, never ONCE stops being around her entitled rich bitch friends, who GAVE HER NONSENSICAL ADVICE, turned her against Ja even though Ja not once tried to hurt her and despite the fact that she loved Tom she buried her past so Ae wouldn't get hurt and when she does EVENTUALLY cheat with Tom it's not because she wants to hurt Ae when she had every opportunity to get some revenge on both mom and daughter!

Right to the end Ja cared for both these total c words but Ae kept listening to her rich friends like I said despite the lip service. And in the end even just leaves to another country and has a happy ending with the mother. Do you think any of that was fair? That Thong and his father despite being TOTAL GARBAGE (that scene in the end when they fight over the sex worker lol I know it was exaggerated but it was basically to show their reality when the mask of propriety they wear on public occasions was removed) because money can give you expensive wine but it can't make you stop being trash. And pretty much all rich people here are trash. Even Ae's so called gullibility and shelteredness is very toxic and you know she' was just going out with him as an experiment and to rebel against the people in her life and likely because she was bored of her mundane life.

Tbh a lot of things gave me more anxiety than I was ready for especially when the way things went down after Ja ended up in the hospital.

I mean she was showing them A VIDEO OF HIM BEATING HER but the reporters were like WAIT THAT RICH GUY LOOKS GOOD ENOUGH AND LOUD ENOUGH AND RICH ENOUGH SO IF HE HAS A VOICE RECORDING OF HER THAT HASN'T EVEN BEEN CONFIRMED THAT IT IS HER UNLIKE THE VIDEO WHICH IS WAY MORE RELIABLE let's just listen to him instead cause we all love patriarchy so much! SARANGHE P'DADDY AHJUSHI SAN AND CAN I ALSO GIVE YOU A BJ WHILE IM REAFFIRMING EVERY POOR, WEAK, or FEMALE PERSON ON THE PLANET THAT THEY ARE NOT EQUAL TO THE ONE PERCENT AND NEVER WILL BE.

OKAY ILL STOP NOW .

So you see how much this lakorn has affected me? That's why I'm saying, it deserves that ten rating.

Because this was no Lee jun kai the toxic person doesn't get redeemed by getting shot in the end, though that would have been my preferred ending for Thong, because as it is it's way too nihilistic, too realistic for me to get some Stockholm syndrome tropey romance pleasure because when I watch romanticized slap n kiss type lakorn it's cathartic and guilty pleasure. Because being a former victim of the similar kind of abuse just makes me this way and something this realistic gives me anxiety for the same reason. So it was very realistic. Rich guy doesn't go for a poor girl with a happily ever after, and the poor guy doesn't fall in love with the rich girl for her MANIC PIXIE DREAMGIRL QUIRKS even though he started out being a gold digger.

This is very raw, painful, upsetting.

And I don't know what that says about me but I never stopped rooting for Ja. I feel like if you don't GET where she's coming from, or even Tom than either you're way too young to know what life is or you've never went a day without people trying to find faults, be generally resentful of what you wear, how you behave, and you've never gone without food and basic necessities. And you've never lost your credibility and suffered because of some silly lie you told to either survive, or to get some benefit that comes easy for someone else.

Seriously, when Tom says to Ae that if she'll find happiness in his pain then she shouldn't worry because he's never been happy, not for a single day, that broke my heart worse than when Thong abused Ja so badly.

This movie is so f^cked up so naturally I loved it lmao but honestly this was like Let The Right One In, where supernatural beings are actually an allegory for something, and I think in this case Night was the one true love but also Wine's alter ego. I feel like loving Night was basically Wine finally loving himself after the things he hears from Tee who is his first love and you can tell there's something off about the other guy too because he's also technically offering his apartment for sex. And there's a lot of dark humor, something screwed up is happening and you'll end up laughing or sincerely falling in love with the characters in their cute moments. Very unique, transgressive, beautiful, and violent.

Meh movie. Meh action, meh main leads, just meh. Look we watch gangster movies for the edgy noir feel and for messed up stories and great action. When we get a good helping of all that we don't mind the overuse of tropes or the flimsy plot. But gangster movies are interesting because of the main leads, Friends, For the Emperor, Tazza, Cruel City all have interesting leads and great character development but this one the main leads are so one dimensional. Anyway it didn't work for me. I found it boring but kept watching because sometimes movies get better later on but not this one

This is what I love about Japanese crime shows and movies. They'll take a very simple idea and present it so beautifully, in such a unique way you feel like you've been through an ordeal even when it's only a few hours that you've been watching. Yuki gave this show a kind of brilliance with his acting, first as the brooding mystery guy, and then as the suspect in a murder case. Really everyone acted well and the way the mystery is always there till the end was just fantastic but what truly made this show epic, was that ending. Absolutely a must watch!

I started reading the negative reviews and the positive reviews and I'm laughing so hard at both. He's either the Devil incarnate or Mother Teresa lol when he's nothing more than an actor and sucks at that job. So why all the fuss? I've never been a fan of this guy. Mostly because he's the Shin Se Kyung of male leads and the kind of person who can only be an "actor" because of a casting couch. Because what he does it can't be called acting in any shape or form lmao to top it off he has zero personality. Most dramas the actors are uncomfortable in the beginning but get better with a few episodes. That doesn't happen with this guy. The bubbly female lead was wasted on this show. Anyway here are my thoughts. I liked the beginning couple of episodes. The con man plot with time stopping twist it was amazing. Especially adding the reapers. But then it became something else by episode 3 and I was watching stories of random characters which fine, I'm sure it will make sense at some point right? It didn't. The couple lacks chemistry mostly because um the main lead can't act. I did get involved in the mystery though and the parts where they banded together with In Seop were more interesting than the romance. No real build up so the relationship seemed fake when he kissed her. For the amount of episodes there was too much going on. They gave so many things focus the couple barely got any time together. It was mostly just her talking about him with her friends and him doing random stuff. I'm thankful for the Reaper plot I suppose because as a romance it totally fails.

Zhan got his heart broken so he wanted to watch the world burn.

>>>>>>>>>{{ SPOILERS }}<<<<<<<<<

I M SPEECH LESS.

literally started cause I wanted something light after Long Ballad
WHAT A BAD MOVE
BECAUSE THIS PAIN IS SO MUCH .. WORSE. PERSONAL.

I can't explain it, you just have to watch it.

Tbh the story is much better from the beginning from most bromances like Sci and My Roommate is a detective, I like them but SCI is majority lacking in a coherent story, and Detectives Bromance is good but I just the stories of crime solving is can get repetitive at times.

But Untamed is just perfection when it comes to a proper, coherent story and Guardian despite it's faults the Bromance, the chemistry is just epic.

I'm not even going to talk about stuff like advance bravely or beloved enemy they're just okay and Beloved Enemy feels like they're trying to say falling for a man ain't shit just go fuck a chick. They literally make you feel that way so let's just drop it.

But as I was watching KAH I felt a lot of things were just not paid attention to, especially the way people seem to die and no one cares in the next scenes or quite simply forgetting a character or story line but those were minor issues because this story is just so addictive and entertaining!

And despite it's faults it was growing on me, much like the two couples - Dr Chen and Jiang Yueleo and Zhan and Yu.

And here's the thing and maybe it's just me, I NEVER STOPPED SHIPPING ZHAN YU. It's true. You can hate me for it, but okay I'm noticing so many people in the comments section and otherwise are hating on Zhan but not Jiang lol

Here's the thing

Jiang HIT DR CHEN ON THE HEAD AND KIDNAPPED HIM when he refused to leave Hongkong.

He let him get so badly involved in their world Chen was imprisoned and tortured.

Jiang PRACTICALLY BEAT CHEN TO DEATH

JIANG ACTUALLY SHOT HIM. IN THE CHEST.

In comparison this is what Zhan did to Yu

Took care of him when he saved his life and pretty much had him living in the mansion

When his uncle was about to kill Yu Zhan saved him and chained him up in the mansion. But just like Jiang beat Chen and SHOT HIM Zhan VERY OBVIOUSLY did this so his uncle and insidious servants would think Zhan doesn't love Yu.

And okay CONSTANTLY there were references to the king and the concubine, THERE'S NO STRAIGHT EXPLANATION FOR THAT and Yu said those things because he was hurt because he DID SAVE Zhan.

And I don't want to get into the ending too much but I'll just say this - that ending made it go from a 7 or 8 show to a 10 rating.

I see so many Chinese bromance aka BL ending bittersweet, and I don't like it. Untamed as much as I loved THE CHARACTER AND STORY AND WRITING JUST PHENOMENAL - But wtf was that ending because it was so anticlimactic. WORSE than a high five lol

This whole I'll choose duty over love bs is just propaganda right but Guardian DID IT SO WELL.

Because when Shen Wei goes off with Ye Zun you get sad but when you see that scene where Shen Wei is saying to Yun Lan that he waited for him for 10,000 years, THAT'S WHAT GETS IMPRINTED ON YOUR MIND. And not the fact that these two also - well Shen Wei anyway - chooses duty over love. Because the sincerity in the two men, their entire body language, and even if they're not 'together' you don't feel cheated.

That's how I felt when I was watching KAH s ending.

Heartbroken but also relieved because the love they had for each other was BEYOND EVERYTHING.

BEYOND LIFE AND DEATH.

And so you know they're SOULMATES.

That all it needs is one resurrection, or one heaven, and they'll be together then, same as Guardian.

But, okay poor Zhan.

My heart.

Like okay when he shoots Chen and says to Jiang 'we both lost!'

And then Jiang shoots Zhan and he also dies and the same rosary that Yu carried he was now holding in his hand and the beads fall everywhere.

How POETIC was that like I CAN'T GET OVER IT.

everyone judging Zhan but look at the asshole who raised him.

The ONE person he was in love with couldn't even be saved.

I'm just devastated at all this loss only because Yu wanted to protect his dignity and kept everyone at arm's length because he hated the idea of being weak and sick and helpless. He should have trusted Zhan more because he was clearly willing to do everything in his power for him. I mean for all Zhans talk about power the guy died just as helpless HOLDING YU'S ROSARY BEADS. He died taking revenge because in his mind Jiang caused all his loss especially Yu because Zhan couldn't protect Yu because of everything happening with his uncle and the opium business. To him Jiang was the reason his attention was divided and he was forced to keep Yu chained up and then the way Yu basically became his ememy and blew himself up to destroy his uncle's plans.

But if Zhan was that enamoured with power he wouldn't have done what he did, instead he would have restarted the opium business and done his usual crimes instead of going on what was rather obviously a suicide mission.

Remember when Yu was holding the trigger and says then let's get blown up and die together ffs that's basically what Zhan did in the end. He didn't want power. He wanted Yu but no one cared.

If you're a Ming Kit / Kim Copter fan this is a must watch !
Not only is the relationship way more mature but their chemistry is just SO GOOD!

I just loved their banter, hilarious and heartwarming dialog, and the script isn't bad but like 2M franchise the story was a bit simplistic and no real plot that was engaging, pretty predictable but it was stil fun watching.

Now about the other couples.

I was really hoping Wayu would end up in a poly relationship with Koh and Jack, they were both adorable and would have gone well with soft Bas XD which i kept screaming at the screen because seriously hes a soft baby ^^

As for Thanu, I just couldn't get into him. His acting was terrible so you couldn't connect to his character and even his makeup was all over the place. Plus, even witha not so great plot, Kim Cop and Bas made me involved because of their acting tbh. Plus at least the characters had a history, which wasn't the case with Thanu so I couldn't buy his relationship with Wayu.

Second, call me crazy but I actually preferred Thanu with Kits brother! Even though that UWMA esque soulmate back story was pretty silly there were times when I genuinely felt for Thanu and him.

I love Jack and Koh they were both adorable lol especially when Mark keeps making fun of them it was hilarious and i shipped them.

Another guy that I felt bad for - Padbok. There was so much subtext between him and Thanu, and him and Mark and even Kit. I felt bad for him when the script kept saying hes ugly and not good looking like Mark like WTF. you're okay with gay stuff but you have a totally decent looking guy calling him ugly.

So, yes I had fun and my Kim Cop craving was satisfied xD watchit for that reason alone.

So, it was good for the most part and I was into the couples especially Win Team and Korn Inn, mostly because I felt like the Dean Pharm storyline was a bit lacking. I felt like there was no proper build up for Pharm going crazy in the end, there were maybe two scenes that showed him properly getting freaked out but again there was no build up so the going crazy bit seemed rushed and just abrupt and I couldn't get into it. And then of course, there was SO MUCH ANNOYING PRODUCT PLACEMENT and other problematic stuff like fat shaming to an annoying level , etc. So it felt a bit immature overall. Even the ending conflict between Dean Pharm felt forced. And so much time they invested in the last episode to give a romantic interest to even poor Manaow who was basically their shaming vehicle until then and then omg God gave the fat girl a hot guy RIGHT TOWARD THE END because only super good looking and thin people deserve a complex and entertaining storyline, right? XD ugh okay. But I mean so much time and Win Team didn't even get proper conversation or skin ship ffs in the last episode. So, there you go. Not bad but could have been better and I STILL NEED THAT WINTEAM SERIES

Yang yang looks like an anime character! His bromance with Yi Feng... so good! All in all a captivating story with a great cast and mystery and action! The graphics are a little cringey at the beginning but get better. These are just some very memorable characters! And the whole thing had supernatural elements which got super creepy lol better not to watch it at night . But really I enjoyed it. There's no romance element but the female characters are strong and an integral part of the story. I personally think the acting was good especially Yang yang and Yi Feng made it very believable

An excellent portrayal of the hedonistic appetite of a King who veers from being a man full of heart to being a tyrant who is still plagued by the loss of his mother. The way his childlike nature comes out in front of the minstrels is both unnerving and makes you giggle. Seriously, this movie is the definition of dark humor. But the raw story of a messed up love triangle will leave you heartbroken. You don’t even have to be a Lee Joon gi fan to enjoy this one but please keep in mind this is very much an adult themed movie. It broaches a lot of subjects that are for mature audiences. Even the jokes and language is very much 'foul' if you don't get offended easily though and don't mind the darkness, please watch it. The acting overall was just amazing. Everyone is doing a remarkable job portraying their characters. It leaves you wanting more when the movie ends. But good God Lee Joon Gi lol I'm still up awe of this guy! He played the role so naturally and he's beautiful BEYOND WORDS like I have seen flower boys, I love flower boys, I saw Hwarang, okay? Minho, V, Hyungsik? It's my favorite drama, so I'm no newb to flower boys, but this guy lol um I don't have words to describe his ethereal, androgynous beauty other than that it broke my heart just looking at him. That's the beauty of this film. It's dark, and grotesquely evil, and ridiculously, unnervingly BEAUTIFUL.

This movie is a very realistic portrayal of the dark side of humanity. How through seemingly normal situations we sometimes end up in the deepest recesses of someone's hell. As far as the subtext goes this film says a lot that will stick with you for a long time. Showing the life of the two main leads. Yoon-Jae (Kim Shi-Hoo) is a transfer student at his new high school. He begins to hang around with mysterious student Se-Joon (Choi Tae-Joon). They become involved in a case involving their junior student Eun-Young (Mun Ka-Young).

The film never spells anything out you have to see it and come to your own conclusions. But basically the relationship between Yoon Jae and Se Joon starts from innocent feelings to obsession from Se Joon's end. Where he starts torturing the bullies who harmed Yoon Jae and ends up getting messed up when Yoon Jae isn't with him.

There's a girl Eun Yung who starts out having a crush on Se Joon but then she's hanging out with Yoon Jae because it's obvious she's developing feelings for him. And Se Joon sees Yoon Jae is interested in her too and his feelings of obsession and pain over not being able to express himself, it all starts creating a storm inside Se Joon which is metaphorically shown by the Jason Mraz guitar getting sold which was the most important dream he had. Not just the guitar itself but his dream was to play it for Yoon Jae.

That's when it all comes crashing.

The movie is just so engaging and painful to watch at times but I fell in love with this story.

That ending where even then Se Joon was the one who blurts out his emotions.

You know that if one or few things had happened different none of this would have happened. If Yoon Jae hadn't been so dismissive of Se Joons feelings, they might have had a different kind of ending.

Really amazing film.

So first off there's just something about the background music that was kinda creepy I don't know why! It was just a little weird I guess.

So here's the low down, the main actor playing Kano was a little disappointing. That's the main reason for this not being a ten rating.

But there was something about the movie that felt very artistic and that's the part I loved. Gratefully pretty much everyone else was acting well, especially felt bad for Tojiro! But let's face it, all the sex with Kano was borderline non con or at least dub con.

It just felt like Kano let those men take advantage of him, even though he was so much more powerful than any of them ! But that's the thing I kinda loved about this story, it felt like despite being one of the best swordsmen in the school, Kano was mentally submissive - but I feel like that's also what causes his darkness.

I mean the guy basically admits that the only reason he joined the samurais was so he could kill. That means he had that darkness inside him all along, which he kept hidden underneath his beauty. I mean ffs poor Tojiro was clearly in love with him even when he finds out that Kano screwed him over, and pinned the murder on him, the second Kano said 'im sorry' he basically fell for it again and that's how Kano was able to kill him.

But then in the end, I feel like the Samurai who was telling the Captain the story of the two men, basically despite saying he was a homophobe, it was obvious he was also pretty much struggling with his own sexuality.

But what happened to Kano , they didn't show anything and it happens off screen but it's still impactful because basically Kano let the darkness take over and it drowned him too in the end.

I feel like it's also about the fact that giving anyone the power to kill is wrong because no matter how many Samurai codes you have, in the end, a person can still fool everyone and use the power of death to destroy.

And it's not really mentioned but it's obvious that Kano's story must have started from sexual abuse which turned him cold and murderous. It was like he couldn't believe that anyone could truly love him. And then he knew he was powerless to the men who were trying to get him in bed, so he wouldn't refuse them but ended up killing them after.

As for the sex scenes, they're pretty tame, but still serve the purpose to show us more about Kano and the other men.

Personally I also feel like because of whatever happened to him in the past, Kano was actually unable to feel love for anyone but kept saying things like 'i like you ' and literally even flirting with that one guy who the Captain appoints to take him to the Geisha place but Kano ends up not doing anything with the woman and instead acting like he wanted to sleep with that guy. Even though it eventually turns out that Kano doesn't have feelings for anyone, but uses these tricks to basically lure them to their deaths.
