I just don't understand why Elder Princess said is a waste of effort to raise her daughter. Is she biological?
They are two peas in a pod. Side by side, they look a few years apart. I was wondering if Elder Princess married when she was 16. Is Evil Mingyue, 16 to 18? Mother should be 34. She looks young. 😁

Parents usually want a different route for their children especially if they've had it rough. Here the Grand Princess…
Princess Royale (which what they are calling her now) is on a power trip. Didn't they call her Elder Princess before? She transferred her hatred of Su Ke to Su Ke's children. She wants Evil Princess to kill Su Ke behind the scenes. In Jiang Si's past life, Royale had Father Duke, Zhan and Si killed.

Didn't General Cui break off the engagement to Su Ke because Emperor gave his sister Royale to Cui in marriage? Emperor must have demanded it after Cui said he was engaged to another woman.

Younger Jiang was going to marry Su Ke, but she ended up marrying Older Jiang. Aunt Xiao was already supposed to marry Older Jiang, who broke off the engagement. Xiao was told to marry Younger Jiang.

A few years later, Su Ke was pregnant with Jiang Si, but Royale still hated her, and wanted to kill her. Aunt Xiao also hated Su Ke, and wanted to make her sick after birth. Su Ke died because of Royale and Xiao. Nanny is the bridge between the two vile women.

The whole Su Ke story is pure drivel melodrama. This is what I gathered today, watching episode 29 and 30. Did I get it wrong?

The writer made a very messy storyline.

Mr. Cui should have poisoned the Royal Princess and save the world from more suffering!
That was a disappointment. He went to all that trouble, and changd his mind.

This royal princess guard is so fine looking,, I need to find out who he is😊
I kept a lookout for him, too. He should be a military commander, not a serving guard.

The murder of Su Ke got very complicated. Bad Aunt didn't work alone. Three men were in love with the merchant's daughter; Count Jiang, Brother Jiang and Mr Cui.

Nanny is two-faced. She really can act, for a supporting servant. Her expressions changed on the spin of a dime in the interrogation. The tall handsome guard of Princess Royale's must be her lover, since Mr Cui ignored her after the birth of Evil Princess. I don't know why the guard is not a qualified Military commander.

Princess Fu Qing and Mr Zhen are now my most favorite couple in the drama. They have the same disposition. Emperor would approve their marriage. Is she, Emperor's daughter?

Okay so Jiang Si has a called off an engagement. Her eldest sister is divorced and has custody of her four-seven…
Aunt Xiao was probably the one who persuaded Grandma to arrange the marriages to these lowlife families. She thinks she is the Madam of the House.

I suspect hat the astronomer made a false prediction before Yu Jin's birth.

My finger itches so much to skip all the scenes with the evil princess, I just can't stand her , but I don't want…
I cringe when Daughter and Mother are talking to each other. Daughter has the longest neck, btw. I am surprised that Mother is not related to Aunt Xiao. They look like sisters, and act alike.

Awww, he made the kite himself ☺️🤗
They are the cutest, most congenial couple. I knew instantly that they had a fated destiny when they met in the rainstorm. Happily, her mother (?) preapproves of him. I am sure his mother will be happy, too.

the dog's love for the owner is truly amazing in every remake, however for me this remake isnt on par with neither…
I think the casting of the wife and children could have been better. I know Joan Chen, but she was disengaged, as well as the actors playing the son and daughter. Professor Chen actor was fine. Ultimately, the dogs that portrayed Botang, from puppy to adult dog in old age, stole the show. Old Botang made me cry. He was covered in dust, and was emaciated and heartbroken. His heart gave out finally. He was a warrior, from puppy to old dog!

I am crying writing this comment. I watched the movie last night for the first time, and cried when Botang and Professor Chen took the gondola on their final journey to the Rainbow Bridge.

The epilogue is making more emotional than the whole movie 😭😭
Yes! I was anticipating the reunion. The wife and children were not warm toward Batong while he was growing up. If they really cared about the dog, they should have shown him the professor's grave, for closure. The son and wife could have found an apartment that takes dogs in Beijing. The dog was an inconvenience to them before and after Chen's death. At the end, the wife might have been stunned when she saw Batong dead.
