I repeat for those who are just starting or wondering if they should. The never ending saga...Instead of asking…
So very true! Asking questions when we won't know the answer until we see it on screen. Only fortune tellers or the production staff would have the answers in advance. As we have seen continually, the drama plot and the ending vary from the original book.
Episode 3:I Wouldn't Steal My Brother's Precious ThingsBrothers who love each other or brothers who hate each…
Sorry! I didn't realize you were discussing Yue Qin and Mei Lan.
I think Jing He had a flashback later in the drama when he and Mei Lan were eagerly waiting to meet each other in the street. Was I imagining the timeline?

When that flashback popped up, I wondered if he was having a fantasy dream. It was odd that he had previously inflicted injury and poisoned her, and set her up as a decoy. The forgiveness of her crime was so OTP.
I don't know what's wrong with me. But I'm really having a hard time following this series and I'm still stuck…
I wanted to drop this drama in the first week, but kept going because of (1) Liu Xue Yi and (2) Wu Jin Yan. I made it to the end, but the last five episodes were a hurdle to watch. I think it is because they were ready to view on the same day, and I wanted to get to the end, to see the story conclusion.
I find it interesting that four days after this drama finished, the comment section is still quite active. There…
I am not the expert on costume dramas, but I may have watched a dozen dramas in the last two years. I don't recall 90% of them. There are times when drama inertia sets in. It might be with the subplots (Emperor & Zigu, Xiyan tribe, CP and Lou Mei), and sometimes with Jing He or Mei Lan. Also the repetitive singing takes up screen time. I watched the entire KMLM drama, fast forwarding a few scenes. I liked the two main leads. The other characters were secondary to the plot, so I kept a cursory view of them. Their contribution to the plot could be paraphrased in a few sentences only. LOL
Endings in costume dramas might be sad, tragic, bittersweet, bad, mediocre, happy, open, per my observation. If I like the drama overall, I keep going to the end. I am extremely glad this was only 32 episodes.
I cant help but not understand Luomei's character. Huh? How did she end up liking CP? Is that a joke?
Her relationship with CP was lopsided. I guess he was the first and only man who loved her, although you were never sure if he was genuinely in love, or manipulative.
I was so excited but half-way the plot stopped plotting. Only both leads sold the story.Remember that time where…
I was not sold on the undying flower theory two days ago, but it had good potential. I think the writers and directors thought the flower would make a good prop. When I watch these dramas, I don't bother to anticipate the HE.
