MVP of the episode: Momo clan and their superhuman swimming skill LOLOLOL
It crossed my mind that they might be Mermaid tribe. Mer-people are popular in Korean and Chinese dramas. The most recent C-drama had a mer-woman supporting character who used to be a mer-man. LOL

Just finished episode 38. I know this wall stuff is important but honestly it's such a chore for me to get through…
I was also more intrigued with the current intrigue than the past intrigue.

She is indeed one of the best villains I have seen in a long time. But LOL the new Bond is a black woman so not…
I was thinking down the road. I am sure that the next Bond film will not be the last.

I have finished ep 46, and am waiting for the final two episodes to be subbed. The drama regained momentum from ep 40ish, and I was absolutely thrilled every minute. The scope of the Holy Lantern Festival filmed footage reminded me of Zhang Yi Mou's grand scale Summer Olympics Beijing opening ceremony.

Yu Chang (Li Yuan) is the ultimate James Bond femme fatale villainess. I could see the actress being cast in a future James Bond movie, as his nemesis.

Also I made the mistake of rewatching the earlier episodes with English subs, oh that made me angry.
The characters do not have to speak archaic Chinese(*), but they should refrain from using terminology that is Western or 20th-21st century.

(*) example; Shakespeare archaic English, that many would not comprehend.

Zhou Yi Wei was stunning in episode 42. During the episode climax his transformation from the initial shock, to…
The Long Bo role might be Zhou Yi Wei's best acting performance of his acting career, so far. Long Bo looks almost charming, very beautiful and young in his last episodes. Zhou is thirty-eight years of age, but he looks ten years younger, with the hair bun.

I thought that Kung Fu rooftop aerialist priest must be a secret Ninja assassin. He has extraordinary skills for a Christian priest dude. He was flying across the rooftops. LOL

You can start binging. The show finishes this week.
The subscription price is to watch many dramas, however there is no guarantee that they would be subbing many new dramas.

I was shocked to see Xu Bin alive in ep 31. I was sad when he was allegedly killed.

They position the flashbacking in the oddest moments. After his reunion with his old army buddy, Flame Master, Zhang Xiao Jing was in a hurry to get somewhere, when it cut to his army days. The segment might have lasted five minutes. In "real" time, those five minutes meant that he was standing in the middle of the road, reminiscing, while he was the subject of a manhunt.

Before around episode 13 the show was mostly plot-driven, but afterward it gets more and more character-driven,…
I really liked Part 1 which might have ended around ep 24. They were supposed to show Part 2 at a later date, but decided to continue the momentum of the drama. Part 2 seemed to start stretching the "hour" or "minutes", and there might be a few episodes that cover the activity of one hour or less. Long Bo seemed to drop off the face of the earth after he and Li Bi confronted each other. Villain He suddenly took center stage, and his scenes are stretching time. His numerous closeups are unnecessary.

Ha! Ha! Ha! I tuned into the drama for Lay, then noticed William Chan, but Zhang Ming En was the silent ace.
