The drama is SUPER fast paced, I have rewatched each episode 2-3 times just to absorb it all. I want to hear their…
I am dying of suspense. I keep checking the YT channel twice a day for new episodes.
Did you notice the wedding scene at the end of the end credits? Qin Xiao Man is wearing a wedding veil and and she is holding Luo Fei's arm. He is wearing formal black suit, and he is smiling. The coroner is wearing a white jacket. I hope the coroner is not the groom, even if he is handsome and cute. Why would he wear a white jacket, to upstage the bride?
I was so disappointed when each episode was only 30 mins :( I can tell they’re pacing this story very fast and…
This is the drama of the week. I have the same reaction, when every episode ends. I hope that they translate more episodes this week. I am dying of suspense.

Ok I did more research on Weibo:Jealousy handholding sleeping on shoulder"tucking in" each other with jackets…
In ep 5 or ep 6, Xiao Man showed up in her pajamas, in Luo Fei's apartment, when he was sick with the cold/flu/bronchitis. They make a nice couple, and the teamwork is perfect.
They are my favorite detective "team" since Inspector Lynley and Barbara Havers.
I have been waiting for Bai Yu for since Guardian ended. Luo Fei has become one of my favorite drama detectives. This is a very good drama with high production values. I love the acting, costuming and set designs, and the music is cinematic quality. The slo mo fight sequences should be deleted... not really necessary for the detective drama. Unfortunately, the Shanghai policemen keep getting killed, senselessly. They must recruit policemen every day, to fill thve void.
For the first time, the episode length is too short. This is one drama that could be very successful with 40 minutes' episodes.
Excellent K-drama! The best K-drama that I have watched in years! Yeo Jin Goo is brilliant, playing the dual roles of Clown and Mad King. His deep voice pitch resonates, and his physical acting is amazing. The casting is on point, but you walk away with only the imagery of Fake King or Real King, at the end of each episode. Let's give Yeo Jin Goo, a standing ovation. There are still eight episodes to come.
Yeo Jin Goo's acting is insanely good. His speech and action and the vibe he gives each character is so detailed...…
Yeo Jin Goo is spectacular in his dual roles. If this had been a western movie, he would have been nominated for, and won the Best Actor Academy Award. I think that the production company should submit his performance for the International Emmy Award.
Romance is there but definitely politics and character development and the quest for power are the central themes...…
You won't regret it. I am blown away by Yeo Jin Goo's acting, and the overall production value. The other BIG plus is that it is not a draggy 50-episode historical/costume drama.
Same.. his mind is just broken to pieces but he really wanted to live..But he wanted to poison the queen?! Damn…
The discarded twin plot has been used in the C-drama, Secrets of the Three Kingdoms, and the western classics story, movies and dramas, Three Muskateers, and other western movies or dramas. I guess the K-writer does not want to claim that Clown is Mad King's twin brother who was discarded at birth, to avoid controversy for the throne. I am a little disappointed. I cannot imagine that, in the small population of Joseon, two people could look identical, and not be related. They should have at least one same parent, the old dead King at the beginning, and Clown would be the bastard son. Or Clown's father and old dead King were twin brothers, which would make Clown, born of royal blood.
