I checked on violence against women in India and it looks like most of it happens in the northern part of India. Yeah maybe Islam doesn't have much to do with it, only about 14 or 15 percent of the pop is Muslim.

And sadly, Buddhism is only at 0.7%? Man Thailand truly is the home of Buddhism lol, the Dalai Lama should move to Chiang Mai! :P lol I know, I know. He's Tibetan (Vajrayana) Buddhist while the Thai are Theravada Buddhists. But hey 84% of the Thai people are Buddhists. Lol I'm an agnostic atheist but I have an appreciation of Buddhism. Also my BF is also Buddhist, but he's Viet-Chinese so he's Mahayana and not Theravada (my personal interest).

I agree! I subbed to them on Youtube because now they are doing English subs for full episodes!!! Just finished Kiss Me Again on their channel and now I'm watching My Tee :D. I love everyone who works on these films and series, I consider them all allies to the gay community. After all, they wouldn't take part in such entertainment if they had a personal or religious issue with it.

Newwiee (Apo from Waterboyy, Aim from SOTUS, Kao from Kiss Me Again) is amazing! Like Gun (Love Love You, Puppy Honey, Blue Hour), he's played a gay roll multiple times and always does it well! Although personally, I wouldn't be surprised if Gun turned out to be gay or bi lol. He'ss very sweet-faced. I know Newwiee has a girlfriend haha.

I do understand the undertone BL, but I guess where I'm coming from is that if they can never confess it to each other or show it more directly, then its like friend-zoning the audience. I'm spoiled by the open-mindedness of most BLs, my expectations are rather high in some regards lol.

To me BL is gay romance. So even a movie that has a straight main couple is still BL if there's a side gay romance. Whereas a movie where the main character is gay, but it focuses more on his/her struggle, journey and acceptance (while good) is not BL as there is no romance. Like Handsome Devil, cute story about to gay college guys that become friends. But they never go beyond that. Its more about friendship and acceptance which is a good message, lol but not BL.

I don't dislike a movie or series just because its NOT BL, I just get hung-up on labeling because when I watch a movie expecting one thing and get another, it colors my opinion.

If they made a second season I would be willing to watch it, but only to see Chen Ping Jun get with Pink Hair Guy lol :P.

I read your whole post last time and didn't reply but left you a like lol. I got REALLY busy for a while. And I understand the points you made, I definitely agree that BL's with a deeper meaning are the most enjoyable, but I also like the campy one's at times too because they can be enjoyable as well.

I wouldn't call myself a victim because the things I experienced weren't that bad, but I had to deal with a lot of harassment in high school. Not so much bullying or direct homophobia, but guys exposing themselves or trying to make me uncomfortable with weird questions, trying to touch me in the locker room. I imagine its a lot better nowadays then it was then. And even then I still had a pretty good HS experience.

Glad I check out this site before wasting my time. I hate it when something gets listed as BL but CLEARLY isn't. Innuendo, bromance and queerbaiting is not BL. Happy that this site doesn't tag this as gay or gay relationship like some uploaders have been. I always check with this site now, its my favorite site to get informed about BLs!

GMMTV is only getting better/more popular in my opinion. But that could be that general attitudes towards gays have gotten better over the years so they have a wider audience now. I hope they continue on strong! I love these BL's so much! They bring me so much joy and I can't wait to watch one with my boy when he visits! Lol although he doesn't like BL that much, I'll have to start him off with a good one like SOTUS :P.

Yeah, it's like Bright from Together With Me, always preying on younger people instead of finding someone around their own age. Sure, if an older person falls in love with a younger that's of legal age then fine. But if the senior ONLY goes for young ones, they come off as a predator to me.

India has double-standards. They don't have a problem with "third genders", which are basically crossdressing males who sleep with other men but for some reason its not considered gay. But if two cis-gendered males fall in love, that's a no no lol. Its just like the African nations that allow lesbianism, but don't allow gay males to be together, its NOT FAIR!!! I think most homophobia comes from sexism and the idea of "gender roles".

I love uniforms, that way no one gets made fun of for what they are wearing and you never have to worry about your school wardrobe haha!

I think that's why hazing in Thailand is better than other places it because its regulated. In Thailand it seems the hazings are structured into academic/team-based activities. Hazings in the US tend to be things like humiliation (most common), beatings (rare but it happens), sexual favors/harassment (uncommon but common enough to be a problem). When I was in high school I usually avoided hazings but a classmate of mine got beat with 2x4s, that was probably one of the worst instances at our school. I got cornered in the locker room a couple times after I came out. But most of my experiences were good ones, only a few kids were really bad at my school. But I would have loved to have grown up in the Thai educational system! It would have been a better experience and probably would have made me a better student.

LMAO this is why I watch a LOT of BL so I don't wear out my two favorites, SOTUS and My Bromance. I'm rewatching Waterboyy the Series because I adore Thitipoom Techaapaikhun and love seeing him in BLs! I see so many familiar faces in these BLs, its like an extended family! :D

When you do get a chance to watch it I hope you enjoy it! Just go into this BL knowing that "It will never be as good as SOTUS so I must judge it separately to be fair" lmao!

Its weird how hazing is structured into a positive experience in Thailand. The way they do it may be hard, but it teaches teamwork, friendship, reliability, and I love the senior-junior relationship so someone always has a friend/confidant. Hazing is basically bullying in the US which is why its illegal in most states. If only we had the same type of hazing that was featured in SOTUS! I love the faculties and how they have different areas of expertise. I think the public education system is better structured in Thailand, at least imo :P.

So true! Arthit is often so shy about his true feelings, even to Kongpob who he loves, trusts and is probably most comfortable with. But when it really matters, his feelings shine through and light up Kongpob's face with that cute smile of his that melts ice!

Waterboyy the Series is better than the movie in my opinion but both are worth watching and have good endings if I remember the movie correctly. You'll see a few familiar faces in Waterboyy the Series since you've watched SOTUS and Kiss Me Again. Waterboyy the Series also has my favorite theme song for a BL series :P, its called Proong Nee Took Wun (Every Tomorrow) by Victor.
