I've been following him ever since A Girl Like Me. He's an incredibly dedicated, passionate, talented, and hardworking actor, the kind who fully immerses himself in every character, studying the details and pouring real emotional depth into each performance rather than just going through the motions. I've read many stories about him, and I found myself feeling so much for him, especially for the sincerity he brings to every single role, without exception. His path hasn't been smooth either, and that struggle has only toughened him. I admire him to the core for that. And his voice, gosh, it's just so nice! I don't speak Chinese, but I can still appreciate how clearly he articulates every word, always with the right emotion, whether he's playing cold or warm, soft or loud, straightforward or witty, righteous or playful. On top of that, he's also a great singer, and he's sung the OST for most of the dramas he's starred in, which just shows how much of himself he pours into every project, on and off screen. He's simply one of the best talents in history!
I will try myself not to watch till next weekend. I just cannot imagine having to stop episode by episode -- how on earth do we survive another day waiting? 😅

I watched 14 episodes in 2 days! And now waiting for the final episodes before resuming (otherwise, I will get even more tortured). I have never been this crazy watching modern (non-costume) Chinese drama. This drama is truly captivating. I guess what everyone said in the comments below are true. Everything in this drama is very realistic and yet gracefully powerful. It reminds us of all difficult choices we make in our lives. I smile, laugh, and tear up non-stop, even for a simple and plain scene. I guess this drama has successfully enkindled them into beautiful and touching scenes. And those flashbacks, oh boy! What can I say! I'm just in love with this drama.
