That is not limted to Japan. Gastro-BL has become quite common in Thailand and South Korea as well.
Have you seen Kinou Nani Tabeta?/What Did You Eat Yesterday? Highly recommended. A fantastic series about a middle-aged gay couple and their struggle with their relationship and very different approach to life, due to their diammetrical personalities. Sometimes funny, sometimes deeply affecting, with the food also very important, as the actual dish always being relevant to the narrative of the episode. Based on an immensely popular manga.
This is cute and I enjoyed it quite a bit, but that is the silliest trauma I've ever seen, That older guy needed…
It was more than hinted, even in episode 1, that Yutaka was certainly shamed, belittled and ridiculed for his timid behaviour by his father in his entire childhood, his table manners probably being just one of these. That is why he is so reluctant and stressful to go home to his father's 60th birthday. He once mentioned that his parents live very near him, yet from his mother's text message it is clear he is not visiting them very often (if at all).
Cute, with Yutaka being a weirdo without carrying it so far that it's annoying or unnatural. A rarity. Is it Asian…
One of my exes was Thai and he was always very anxious to dry his hair after rain or washing his hair. In Thailand these condos always have air cons, ususually adjusted to 18 degrees.
In Japanese, Korean or Viewtnamese shows this is not so common, yet the weather is far from consistently hot in those countries as well.
Inukai Atsuhiro is indeed an amazingly versatile actor. We have seen him as a hyper-active OTT uni student, as a cold-blooded yakuza and now as a timid nerd. The man of thousand faces.
Japan just cannot fail this year (knock on wood). Another lovely and very promising start. Alternately funny and heartwarming with nice leading performances and the usual spicy addition of gastronomy.
And once again, it is clear that subtitles are not quite up to the streaming platform. So many moanings are there for Gaga subs, but this has excellent subtitles so far, as much as I can see. Accurate and eloquent, with even the honorifics being properly taken care of.
even if you disagree with this commenter i think the comments they are receiving are not okay especially dismissing…
They are the ones who send you to the adequate institute, you fucked up retarded pigshit. You lack the basic comprehension skills of an amoeba. Your mother for sure made one serious mistake, and that was you. And now I flush you down on my toilet, piece of crap.

Who told you to consult with the doctor "regarding your asexuality", you illiterate fuckwit? Go back to primary school and learn to read. And once you have finished there, go to your GP to help treating your mental issues.
Another comment section apparently lost to to moral supremacists, puritans and kiss fanatics as well as the combinations of these. It is better to leave it behind.

Since when is it dismissing the sexuality of an allegedly ace person to tell them not to butt in the business of those who actively participate in sex life and not to abuse them verbally? Or is being an ace a free pass to be abusive? Or is calling out an allegedly ace person ace-phobic by default?
That person kicked the door on their way in and called those in the comment section who look at the participants of this drama in a complex and emphatic way obnoxious, sinful and degenerate. But somehow this did not offend your hyper-sensitivity to raise an eyebrow, yet once the person claims to be asexual, you feel urge to express virtue signalling. Par excellene hypocrisy.
He's getting free food, doesn't have to pay rent, and is being referred to a famous manga artist. He already was…
If you scroll down, Gwen perfectly summed it up, I could not have worded it better. Nothing of the existing problems were caused by Shuhei, whether it comes to Misaki, Yuuki or even if the so-called gf (who is not his gf anyway). He was an indicator at best who helped to bring all those problems to the surface, the problems were already there. ("Sensei, if I wasn't here, would you have a happy life?") I guess this drama is way too non-conventional and non-black and white for you, then you twist both the character and the actual narrative to suit your stance. You say "He uses people under the guise of love" which is totally baseless, you just made this up because you don't like him and his poly preference. He confessed to both Misaki and Yuuki, as well as he was totally honest with the girl that he did not love her.
They go from kissing to Jae Won completely ignoring Ji Hyun (it's still not clear to me exactly why that happened)…
You are probably blocked by the peron under whose comment this appears or youi blocked them.
"Honestly I doubt falling for a guy is a problem for Jae Won. The real problem for him is keeping a certain appereance. He's afraid of letting go of his mask. Especially since the so called 'friends' looks like people who will be the first ones to stab him in the back when they'll know there's something 'wrong' with him. But I think talking to Yoon Won and the therapist helped him make a decision and when he saw Ji Hyun in the subway he naturally gravitated towards the person he's the most comfortable with. And Ji Hyun is just so honest and straightforward. He accepted his feelings and waited for Jae Won to do the same. He didn't try to approach him after the kiss. He didn't try to talk to him. He was just looking at him and waited."
