So based on the preview, is Saen somehow complicit with Jan in what happened to Tarn, or is Jan gaslighting Saen to make him believe Tofu is invoved in the incident?

That is highly unlikely to be Tofu. The worst case scenario is that he goes back to be a Teddy bear but not that he dies physically.

So there are steps being taken.

And let's be honest, the civilised Western world is a fairly late comer in this legal recognition department too. Even the super liberal and hyper progressive Netherlands that first legalized same sex marriage in the world did it in 2001 only. It was not an awful long time ago.

I live in the UK, but I was born and bred in an Eastern European country, and I have to tell you the Southeastern Asian countries are a lot LGBT-friendlier than Eastern Europe. And that includes South Korea too.

What I am talking about is the lack of emapthy. Anyone in Nut's shoes would be conflicted in a situation like this, but just becasue people are succumbed to the perfection of Tofu, this very real and understandable dilemma is not allowed for Nut.

Thailand in general is a fairly LGBT-friendly country but they still have bigots, especially in the countryisde. The latter is not unusual in Western countries either. My ex bf was Thai, he lives in Bangkok and he has had absolutely no problems with his identity in everyday life.

Once again people are judging Nut knee jerk. He is constantly falling from one shocking and heart-wrenching situation to another, and no one gives him the benefit of doubt or the right to be uncertain in situations that would make anyone uncertain.

What about forming your own opinion and following your line of interest instead of relying on what others think?

He lied because he did not want to tell Nut he had been informed about Tarn's condition from Phrippri (probably weeks before their trip to Chiang Mai) but he kept that hidden from Nut. Tofu might have chosen this destination for their holiday with that purpose in the first place.

I guess Jan is behind the attack of Tarn. She probably hired a few thugs to attack him, so she can take over the heritage, and masqueraded the whole case as a politically motivated assassination. A revelation of that might free Saen from her in a way, who might be somehow involved too, I don't know to what extent. His conversation with Tarn was a bit amigious. I have a feeling that Sib's death was not natural either (he was too young), but he could not have been involved in the same case, as it was confirmed he died at the time or before Nut went to college (still not soon enough). If he had a heart attack, I hope he was inert, invalidd and shitting under himself in his bed for a while, Bit murder would be even better.
