You can have empathy for someone even if you don't excuse his behaviour. For exemple, Nut touches me. I'm understand…
If you think two punches are excessive, just go and watch a straight Thai lakorn, where men and women consistently hit, slap and punch each other vice-versa. That is the infuriating double standard again, just beacause it is an LGBT relationship, everything is unforgivable and unredeemable. I am sick of this. And btw the point is not that. Nut's behaviour is being called out all the time, so stating that the problem is not addressed is simply not true. If you cannot watch scenes like that (not an easy watch for anyone, for sure) then say that, but you confound this with the problem being not addressed. The general comprehension problem of this and any other boards in terms of dramas that people think if something is shown that equals to condoning.
You can have empathy for someone even if you don't excuse his behaviour. For exemple, Nut touches me. I'm understand…
What the sodding, fecking hell do need to be addressed even more than that? No one around Nut condones his behaviour, he is constantly being called to account, repeatedly by Ken, for instance. Even he himself is fully aware that what he is doing is wrong and he always admits that straight away. Sorry but I am so done with this sanctimonious whining from some folks (not you - if the cap fits).
The healing process of a troubled person who was tortured for decades by his entire environment, including his parents (yes, in a passive way by his mom too, so his anger is not misplaced at all) do not get over their resentment, angst and rage deeply rooted inside of their trapped, frustrated and repressed souls so quickly. Nut had to repress himself from what he is in his entire life, and he is full of anger because of that. This does not change overnight and lapses back to his previous state of mind - especially since he has trust issues too and his mother has not done anything so far to console him that she is OK with him and Tofu - are totally realistic and logical. Nothing is dragged and he is not irredeemable, in fact he is on his way to recover with all the necessary ups and downs of this difficult journey. But some of the viewers expect the screenwriters to abandon logic and skip these unpleasant stations of Nut's healing process, just because they are triggered by his behaviour and they wanna see lovey-dovey instead. That is beyond ridiculous and childish. This is a serious and hard-hitting adult drama, not a nursery for the faint-hearted. If you cannot take strong stuff like this, then it is ok, go and watch something else. But don't expect the filmmakers to shit on what is most precious about this show: logic and realism - purely for the sake of your peace of mind.
I was thinking a bit similar to that, like either she's about to die or Tarn is about to wake up and Tofu will…
But the stuff falling asleep forever usually come when the owner is about to die, not the other way around. If Tarn is about to wake up that should be the sign of Tofu not going back to be a Teddy bear again. But honestly I still don't get why since it is Nut who is his owner and not Tarn, even though Tarn gave him to Nut.
I have just realized there is a strong Little Prince reference. And that is how Na called Tofu at the beginning too.
The Little Prince asks the snake to bite him at the end of the novel so he could return to his home planet, and just before that he is consoling the aeroplane pilot that it is gonna seem like he dies only.
I don't think the series have to necessarily follow the novel ending. The director and screenwriter have the freedom…
Are we sure the novel ends as one of the commenters claimed below? As I have seen it is not a direct source and even the person did not seem to be very sure of that.
I am still very uncertain about the endgame but there are increasing signs and hints Tofu may not return to his Teddy Bear format.
- He is becoming more and more human and he is gradually emphasising in his monologues how much he loves and understands now the human nature, and that he does not wanna be a Teddy bear anymore (unlike he did at the beginning). - Nut keeps repeating Tofu should promise to stay by his side forever and Tofu repeatedly promises he stays with him. - Tofu realized he needs to find Tarn not to fall asleep forever (like the furnitures and objects) so he wants to live. (Why is that Tarn instead of Nut, becasue Nut has been his owner and not Tarn is rather baffling , though). - In episode 10 it was pointed out - purposefully, I guess - that Nut is over his first love, even though he affectionately remembers to it. Tarn's ambigious facebook/IG posts are distracting though.
Of course, these might be just red herrings as well to trick us.
This is a major question for me too. I hope they will explain it.It’s also strange to me that Nut would not…
A few episodes earlier Tofu asked Nut about this and he answered that Tofu's resemblance to Nueng was the main reason he let him stay in their house, because he was extremely curious. He also mentioned that he had done some research in Song's family to see whether Tofu is somewhat related to them.
As we are heading forward I am increasingly nervous about the episode when it is shown what Nut's monster dad and that ghastly schoolmistress did to Nut. I am scared in fact, sure that is gonna be traumatic.
Before totally recovering from his anger issues, Nut should probably start punching Jan for a while. That bitch really needs a few.
I am not quite sure whether Song's father got the signs from his son that he is gay. He should have realized from his reaction but then it was either postponed or glossed over.
I cannot remember whether it was mentioned how Nut's father diied but I hope he suffered a lot. What a human garbage.
Gagaloo's subs are so bad it interferes with story logic. For instance, it had the text from his sister address…
For most of the time they have good subs. The currently ongoing DNA Says I Love You and the recent My Ride are just fine, for instance. There are occasional lapses like this and My Beautiful Man.
As what Hanis said, and I also brought up that from the other side of coin (e.g. Nut's perspective), Tofu is a…
Typical hysterical SJW tantrum. If people with your CCP type mentality would get their way we were left with entirely propaganda-spirited cautionary tales instead of good stories with interesting character developments of deeply flawed people. People like these do exist in real life and there is nothing wrong with showing it. You are using exactly the same argument as CCP when banning LGBT representation, just saying. And yes, I am watching these for the sake of entertainment because that is what they are made for, and not for others to do subsequent virtue signalling (the latter of which your type calls "care", but usually dictated by other ulterior motivations. Sigh).

Also it is time to grasp that it is not up to fictional shows to be moral compass and that fictional shows are not instructionals, educational films and manuals on how to live your life. Whenever I see this "sending the wrong message" my skin crawls.
