Both & Newyear are not that terribly young either. Newyear is 26 and Both is 33, but what counts is that they…
I have already told what purpose they serve. They are the so-called "raisonneurs" who make commentaries and/or confront the rest of the cast with their wrongdoings, antics, false judgements, etc. In calssic Hollywood Eve Arden, Thelma Ritter or Steve Geray made a virtue of this type. And they have not consumed so many screen time, they hardly had any so far while the scenes of some of the other ones, at least the Simai-Lukmo couple, imho have been generally quite protracted.

Why should I be "invested" in this couple? Just because you made a statment that they are pointless, and I don't take a bow and second that? I happen to like them, but that is about all. I think they have a dramatic purpose and I find it nice and in-jokey. When I see Louis Armstrong as himself giving friendly advice to Danny Kaye's character in Five Pennies, I find that is a nice turn. When I see Carroll Baker, Zsa Zsa Gabor and Lilli Palmer playing themselves as movie stars being robbed out of their jewels in heist movie Jack of Diamond, I think that is an attractive idea. That is the reason, and not because - unlike you - I am a mindless dummy lead by his nose by the cunning marketing experts of this show.

Well, impressionable youth are in fact more likely to listen to the love advice of a young, trendy, handsome, hipster, influencer gay couple in a steady and stable relationship for nearly a decade than to the Dalai Lama or the Elders of Zion. Wisdom does not necessarily come with age anyway, at least not with everyone . As for Newyear, I don't know his life story, but my ex was Thai, who had his frist bf at 12 (and he lost his virginity to him at the same age), and he kept telling me it is being quite common in Thailand, so I would not be so sure about Both being Newyear's first either. But like I said, giving love spin doctor livestream videos via their own channel is a real thing, one of their frequent social media activitities, and it is extremely popular, so whether you personally want his/their advice or not is quite irrelevant.

As for their participation in the show, since this time they play their real selves, it is quite unlikely the screenwriter gives them artificial drama (that would mess up their fandom too). They certainly remain the sort of "raisonneurs" of the series throughout. It is probably a less showy role but it could also be important. Calling it "viewer-bait" and "cynical grab for viewers" is quite a massively melodramatic exaggeration of the storm in a teacup kind. It is called cameo, and it is also quite common in the entertainment industry worldwide. Louis Armstrong played himself several times in quite a few musicals from High Society to Five Pennies with much less dramatic purpose, and it was fine.

If you read the link what I shared it is clear that it is a conflict of interpretation between household registration office and the high court.

It was probably just carelessness when the same sex marriage law passed that they did not calculate with international couples and marriages. The Taipei High Administrative Court revoked the limitation, so probably the Parliament corrects this mistake soon.

Title Hush!
Incisive, sharply written, well-characterized, sensitively acted and generally absorbing slice-of-life comedy-drama that gradually gathers momentum and arouses sympathy for its unlikely ménage à trois. The detail is quite good too.

There are too many characters in this - they should have left out a few. Both & Newyear are a cute couple, but…
Both & Newyear are not that terribly young either. Newyear is 26 and Both is 33, but what counts is that they have been happily together for 8 years now, and they actually do love spin doctor livestream videos on their youtube channel and insta too - that was a reference to one of their real life social media activities.

A sequel, at least so far, thoroughly in par with its predecessor. Visually it is just as stunning, in spite of less picturesque locations, the acting is again excellent, the script is both emotional and intelligent, the conflicts and motivations are real and believable, and the direction is suggestive and accomplished.

God, these reviews below are so childish. It's a shame that none of you even understand what you watched. Again…
Weeks pass but one thing never changes. Illiterate and rude fuckers who did not grasp a word of the series coming over here to show their zero comprehension skills, utter bigotry, and sheer pompousness.

Episode 10 did not live up to the standards of episode 9. It was protracted and tedious, with long-drawn out conversation scenes and extended longings. Kaeng was a dick when he interfered with others' date, the way he behaved in the car was even worse. And how come he turns up in Puth's house every time he wants as if he was at home? Puth was also an arse. After that interrupted date he should have insisted on going home alone instead of texting with his date in the car. And if he does not want to have sex with Kaeng, why does he let him kiss and caress him? The love confession scene was nice though, but it came out of nowhere. If Puth has discovered Kaeng has changed why he never noticed that before and acted as if he did not? It just did not make any sense.

Sporadically entertaining, sometimes infuriating romcom-drama that never really finds the comfortable balance or the style it seeks, though it does have its undeniable highlights and it is well-done and acted by all concerned. The presumed infatuation of the average 21st century mainland Chinese with the communist ideology and state guidance in domestic relations and private life is rather hilarious, though.

This one has the same probem as many other Japanese projects trying to adapt the exaggerated manga/anime style to live action. It never works. What sounds and plays amusingly camp in the format of the former ones turns out to be awkward as the latter.

Title Pre*So
A gripping, surprise-plotted yet character-driven psychological drama with generally good performances, hot sex-scenes and a plot that holds your attention and keeps you guessing. Cinematically, it is surprisingly very slick, it is basically a very solid piece of craftsmanship. I don't even get why this does not get a wider recognition. (I have paid for the R-rated version, and it is well worth paying).

Episode 6 was an inventively jolly and playful coda to a lovely BL portmanteau.

I thoroughly enjoyed this well-done little compendium and I seriously cannot get all the gasp and pouting it received from many in the comment section.

I don't know if it's intentional, but "I Promisted You the Moon" has an ominous tint to it. It is a lovely title,…
"I Told Sunset About You" is reasonably ominous as well. I remember we were wondering about that too last year, and whether ITSAY was going to have a tragic ending.

I agree. If only the entire series had been at this level. But better late than never, I guess.
I am not that strict, I have enjoyed this show mostly, despite its obvious faults and frequent tedious aspects. Every single episode had an inconsequential charm even if the plots were not very good and at a snail's pace. No doubt this latter overcame most of the flaws of the earlier episodes.

Solipsism5 made a noble effort, but SJWs never learn. Still thick as pigshit, still going on about the non-existent rape, still totally clueless about the character developments, still not understanding a single word from what they have seen, just parroting the platitudes and buzzwords distributed to them in the SJW memo and cheering for censorship. Depressing. It is good to know, however, they are a minority, even if they make the most vocal tantrum everywhere.

It is actually quite common in BL. Until We Meet Again, Dark Blue Kiss, What the Duck, TharnType, My Gear and Your Gown spring into my mind straight away, but I am sure there are many more.
