Yes a cheating bitch wife and cheating twat husband sounds very comforting. Seriously ruined the drama.
I see that you rated Shop for killers 10/10.
So, mercenaries, strong violence against all genders and ages, brutal killing in multiple ways, arms dealers, backstabbers, and another whole list of awful human behaviours is fine and ok, but a subplot of cheating (which happens all over the world every minute) is so bad that ruined a drama?
I really struggle to understand your moral hierarchy.

Love to see a drama about women! Girl power.
Yes me too.
Ra Mi Ran is such a wonderful actress (if you are fan of her, try Black Dog. A really underrated series imo).
The friendship between Moms in 1988 was marvellously acted. One of the best I have seen. You really believe these were friends for ages. Their chitchats, while many found it boring, I found it one of the best aspects of the series.

E2.
Another good episode, although I had more fun with E01. But, this had a good progression of the story, but still kept lots of humour, although I can't say I laughed this time. Still, I smiled a lot!
I am finding myself really drawn to O Geum Hui as a character (btw..can we all bow to Kim Sung Ryung for looking so well at 57!) . She is very interesting because she is not desperate for the money like the other 3. She doesn't really need the business. She wants it. She is doing it for herself.

Only negative is the confirmation of the suspicion that I think we all had. There is some criminal and secret investigation. If they keep it to minimum like they have done so far, I can live with it, but I hope it doesn't become the main plot and change the nature of the series.

I'm not sure how closely they are following the original, and I haven't watched it myself but I did read some…
Oh! only after reading your comment I noticed that it is a remake. I haven't seen the original.
Considering the subject matter, I think it works probably even better when set in conservative societies.
It is good to know the original hasn't mystery, but I doubt this would stop them if they want. It might not be a serial killer, but my guess there will be something. I just hope it doesn't take too much time.
The premise is really good and self sufficent.

Watcched E1 today.

Wow! that was unexpectedly delightful first episode. Apart from touching on some of usual social issues, it is tackling rather new subject for K-drama as far as I know. But, it is not only the subject matter itself. It is the concept of going against the grain, and being brave.
We are also developing some heart warming camaraderie!

And, then the humour! I was genuinely laughing out loud. The entire sale scene was SO funny! I mean that was some peak sit-com stuff!
But even earlier in the episode, I really laughed when the husband said "If the Lambs are silent, then give them some medicine" hahaha

I am tiny bit worried though that there is a policeman. I REALLY hope that we don't have a serial killer. I hope he is there just as a potential love interest!

Title Uprising
The movie could have been much better if it concentrated only on one topic.
There is so much to like about it, but it is a case where the whole is smaller than the sum of its parts.

Still, it is good and entertaining. It has some very good action scenes.

I think I will watch this , just because Jung So Min is in it.My question is , is watching just S1 enough for…
I think Season 2 is a misleading title.
A much more appropriate title is Part 2.
So, I would say, you kind of need the second part to get the wrap up of the story.

Personally, and this might be very unpopular opinion, I think the problem lies with the writers. 20 episodes were already too much to tell the story. And yet, they couldn't finish it, and needed another 10.
I think with tighter writing , less subplots and going in circles, this could have been very good 16 episodes.
However, I am clearly in minority based on ratings.
Btw..I still think it is good, but overrated.
..and Part 1 is indeed better than Part 2

Man, teared up a bit when she started saying i am sorry in the middle of the road. Easily 10/10 for me. So good.
Only teared up? lol
Tears were flowing in my case. I had to stop.
My favourite scene of the series.

Well, it finally happened... after 130+ dramas, I've rated a series a 10. This was a brilliantly written + directed…
I have also given only one 10, and it is to "My Mister", which became my favourite drama of all times in any language. And, that is coming from a middle aged person who watched tons of TV.
Believe it or not, the series will be even better on subsequent viewings. Now that you know what happens, your complete attention will be directed to dialogue and all sorts of other things that you missed first time around.
The writer is really amazing. I wish she start writing novels. I wanted to buy the script of the series, but couldn't find it in English.
The only downside of watching it is that you won't find anything else that good.
So, here are couple of tips to help you lol :
*Watch it again, it is really worth it.
*Go on youtube and watch a series of videos by Man vs. Drama. He revisits scenes from episodes and talk about them. He is really good.
*After some time try to watch "Lost". There is no guarantee that you will like it, but in my opinion it has similar vibes.

I'm not even sure western romcom tv shows exist in the same way that movies or kdramas do to be quite honest.…
I want to take a break from Kdramas. None of the last 5 I watched reached 7 for me, although LND came extremly close.
So, I will be watching from here and there.

Just a thought about a rom-com shouldn't have sad parts.
I am not sure how, or where this opinion was formed?
Rom-com always had obstacles, difficulties and problems to overcome. Sometimes even deaths. You need those things so you have that cathartic joy at the end. If everything is plain sailing it is not fun at all.
Admitedly I have never been into Western rom-com TV shows (with few exceptions), but I watched lots of movies. They are really not that different in terms of the overall structure. There are always problems to overcome, there is the brake up, and then reconciliation.
In the last few years, I have also started to dip my toes in romantic books. And, again, they have all sorts of difficulties, including torture, suffering, and death.
In the last few years I started watching Kdramas, and what actually made me watch romantic Kdramas is the fact that they are not only about romance, but also about life in general.
To me, this is their BIGGEST strength.
My point is, throughout my life, the overwhelming majority of rom-coms had sad parts, and sometimes the lovers don't even end up together. So, I really wonder why people were complaining that there were sad , and heavy parts?
Btw..I don't think LND is some great series, but it is a bit unfair to consider having sad parts a negative. In my opinion, the negative was that it didn't have enough of it.

If you like childhood friends to lovers , and you don't mind reading long books, then a book that I really liked is...
But, it is not a romance book. It just have that arching relationship between the two main characters.

Tbh, by that time I was about to die from fluffiness and syrupy stuff coimg at at me from every corner lool, so a scene that brought us back to some normalcy was very welcome.
I thought the final scene was very cool, them ending where they started, but instead of friends they are couple.
As a man of certain age, lol, my experience taught me that for a long term relationships liking your partner might be even more important than having this mad love, because no matter how strong it is, it will fade and diminish. So, you really need to like your partner so you can still be together and work things out.

A bit of mixed bag.
The biggest issue is the mediocre execution of really good themes. Ideas, and headlines were more than good, but the writer/director duo did only an okey job in the execution department.
Pacing was also an issue. The resolution to almost all problems came way too early. The last 3-4 episodes were just going through the motion for 70% of the run time.
But, a great chemistry between all 4 leads, and some good stuff around the middle (unlike the majority, I liked the series most when it was heavy) balanced things out.
It was decent overall, worth my time and I got some enjoyment and fun.

Before I give my score, please know that I don't give high marks easily (Only 45% got 8+ from me. And only 1 series got 10). So, if it seems too low for you, that is not because I am hating on it, or want to bring the average down. I am just being consistent with myself.
