There might be plot points that don’t entirely make sense (ML to FL: “Your wound looks worse today than it did yesterday.” Me to ML: “Honey, you were in a coma yesterday.”), but it’s just what I need right now—a super appealing ML and a FL that doesn’t irritate the fire out of me.

Yes, and the bit about where Han Li landed was so beautiful, and then to be followed by the compilation of scenes from the series—it made me cry. This felt like a significant drama for me, even if not perfect. Yang Yang was stunning, and all the other actors were very good as well, particularly the older ones. The relentless message of optimism and perseverance in the face of constant challenges, lack of natural gifts, and letdowns of others was so positive and inspiring. Just go ahead and do it; chase those dreams; never let anything or anyone stop you.

I am so impressed that you sub two languages! No, I don’t study them but have accidentally picked up a few words. I just enjoy the beautiful scenery *coughs* and appreciate getting to know these fascinating cultures and history a little bit. I do need to cut down the platforms, but so often I can’t find a thing to watch even with so many. I may be starting to burn out on the genre.

Actually, I have Tencent rather than WeTV, plus IQIYI, Hulu and Viki and Prime and Netflix, lol. That is too many. Also Mango. This is what happens to addicts of Asian dramas when they retire. All my money goes to streaming platforms! Moonlit Reunion is not on any, but maybe it will show up in a day or two. Often that happens, but how irritating.😤

I have those plus IQIYI. Nowhere to be seen.

Thanks! Revenged Love surely did catch my attention, but ABO did more because it is so different from anything I’ve seen before. And I admit the character Hua Yong has got me watching, that rascal.☺️

IMO, ABO and RL are like direct opposites of each other in every way—characterizations, mood, atmosphere, etc. And I for one love them equally well and find them very compelling.

The big mystery is, Will Sheng forgive him when he finds out? I couldn’t stand the suspense so read the book. Even though I know the answer (at least as far as the book version goes), I can’t wait for every episode! I don’t know when a series has caught my attention like this.

Pretty exciting but extremely violent with short (@12 minutes) episodes). And who is this manly Hei Ze? A new face to me who commands attention on the screen, let me tell you. I guess I would have moved along on this one except for him. 🥰

Surely the running joke in this great series is describing Yang Yang’s character as very plain and ordinary looking. 😵‍💫😂 Often dramas will have characters call the ML handsome over and over, as if the audience is incapable of deciding this themselves. But here they are lying like a dog. 😅

I would swear the music is taken with only a few notes changed from the first season of Ever Night. And the plot is quite similar. I am not complaining! Totally here for it, because Ever Night 1 is a legend in my own mind. (btw, I didn’t dislike Dylan in the second season but hAtEd the plot, hated hated hated, but enough about me!)
