Thank you for saying that! 🥹 I'm so happy that more people are defending the actors now. At first, there were only comments bashing everything. I mean I get it they're disappointed that we were given such a great premise and were left hanging when it comes to the execution. And I make fun of the production and directing, too, bcs those makes some scenes really hard to watch tbh, but I'd never bash the acting! They're really trying their best to save this drama!

I bet it's not scripted (what script?🤣), but who knows, maybe the one responsible for the styling is the only one using their brain 🤷‍♀️ I mean makes sense. Especially, noticing that Haejun only wore tshirt and training jacket/pullover in the beginning and then in ep3 starts wearing the same white shirt Jaehun still wore earlier in the same ep. So, right after they enlongated the contract(!) he got clothes from Jaehun and started wearing dress shirts and the more expensive looking pullover, as well. (Not me skipping through all eps again to see what Haejun wears and you're right he is basically living in that white shirt...but I don't blame him, who wouldn't if it's from Jaehun 🤲🤣) I should definitely become more attentive like you 🧐👏

Just rewatching ep1 made realize I had totally forgotten how much tension there was. Ep1 started out so strong, even the sound and everything was still coherent...wtf happened afterward?🥲 When everything's finished I'll rewatch in one go from start to finish (maybe turn of the annoying music here and there) just to enjoy the scenes of our babies once more 😍

Btw did you notice in the 2nd part of 4 ep BTS, at 1:39 the way Myeongcheol looked at Hyeonseo like he's gonna eat him, while biting his lip? (They just cut that part in the drama of course 🤦‍♀️)
But that's not actually my point, what I wanted to say is that the part that follows when they come out of character afterwards is one of my favorite in the BTS 🤭 How Myeoncheol smirks and then laughs at 1:44 and the way they both laugh at 2:00 and Hyeonseo covering his mouth after the kiss. I just love it when they get all shy 🤭❤️

Oh yeah I noticed that too. Normally the auto-subs and auto-translation works for me but strangely, not for that BTS and if there is nothing said but only on-screen text it doesn't help anyway🫤 If you want anything translated let me know, I can definitely try to translate some of the BTS, they're not that long anyway 🤗

Hahahhaha OMG I just rewatch that scene at 10:25 like 5 times and only catched that pout on the third time or sth 🤣 How did you even see that, it's really just a millisecond and hard to see next to that wiggling blanket and in that angle😳 But I must admit I might have been a bit too distracted by Jaehun's wide smile and the dangly perl on his chain necklace (which I really love on him and i don't even know why)😍🤣
But now that I saw that pout, let me rewatch a few times more. Ur so right, it's definitely Hyeonseo himself, our cutest 🐶! He looks exactly like in the ep 3 BTS 😚..ahh my heart 🫠 (now i'm even more convinced that he was actually asking for a kiss. But did you see that in the 2nd part of the ep 3 BTS at 1:38? The part where the written remarks added on-screen made it seem like Hyeonseo nudged Myeongcheol to look at the camera with his eyes and then sulked bcs Myeoncheol just refused by shaking his head?
But I'm not sure that's whats happening bcs Hyeonseo actually saw a second before that Myeongcheol was looking at the camera already, then turned to him with puckered lips 😗 and only when their eyes met in that moment, Myeongcheol looked down and shook his head while secretely smiling ? Make of that what you will, but my imagination is working overtime 🤭 Is our puppy asking for a kiss and Myeongcheol is refusing bcs of the camera or what?🤭 Okay, I'll see myself out ... 🤣

I partially agree with you. If people are calling this trash out of those reasons, that's really brainless. But I mostly see criticism over the missing plot? 🤔
And I guess the problem is that they promoted this drama in their trailer as this break-through first Korean BDSM BL and that just set the expectations too high and is attracting the wrong audience. 😅 Also some know the actors from Sweetheart Service and had high expectations for this pairing because of their chemistry. But chemistry can't save a plotless drama.

Personally, I'm not mad about the lack of sex scenes, I even prefer their sweet "vanilla" scenes from the later eps. (I've watched dramas where you wait for one kiss the whole drama - that's fine too if done right!)
Here I'm rather disappointed in the lack of direction (including in the bad BDSM scenes) and lack of overall vision what this drama is supposed to be about. Also, the sound and editing is just lackluster as well. Even a small budget doesn't excuse that many careless inconsistencies between scenes/cuts and the music/sounds being twice as loud as the dialogue. Even the BTS are more enjoyable to watch though, or rather because, they're less edited.
This all just angers me because, as you said, the acting is decent and the actors are doing their best to save this and people keep projecting the bad production onto the actors.
Having seen Sweetheart Service, I know if given a decent script and some direction on what their characters are actually supoposed to do they can so so much better. Atp this show is just a waste of the actors talent and chemistry.

I hate whenever that random classmate girl appears. Nobody cares about you or your random confession!! We only have 10 minutes and the first 40sec were already wasted on scenes of last weeks ep (that where even glitching on top of that, where I watched at least )🤦‍♀️

Even though Jaehun wasn't present to hear that confession, he didn't only treat Haejun like a puppy... he treated him like a mail box, that took me out 🤣🤣🤣 what was that??🤣 I get the whole puppy, kneeling thing ok, but folding the paper putting it into his shirt... it's giving slapstick comedy 🤣

The ONLY good thing this ep was the cuddling... 🫠 but the directing was so bad kinda taking me out of it 🥲 Why did they basically show two different takes back to back? I still have hopes that the BTS are better again...
but tbh they looked kinda uncomfortable in their position, they were so far apart on the bed (Jaehun's knee a bit too close to Haejun's crotch btw 🤣 ) until they entangled their legs and feet and then it looked like Jaehun wanted to move but couldn't. Where's the director doing his job when you really need him? 😭😭

- The flashbacks are so random, we have no way to know when or in which order those happened, how much time has passed or how their relationship is actually developing. But who still cares right?🤷‍♀️
- Jaehun suddenly being scared to lose Haejun without any reason or context is the weirdest attempt at some sort of plot ever.
Jaehun (on his knees): Do you know why I'm like this?
Haejun: Why?
[Me (internally screaming ): YEES WHYY ?? EXPLAIN IT TO ME]
Jaehun: Because I'm scared... Scared of losing you.
[Me: Ah, makes sense.... ABSOLUTELY F*ING NOOOT ]

- What's up with that hugging scene? Why do they first get closer until they hug, then they're suddenly apart and it starts over again. You should make a frking decision which take you choose and not include every take you shot. Who am I even explaining this to??💆‍♀️
- "You're like family to me..." - Haejun to the most random ass character that we've seen twice, maybe thrice for like 2 minutes in total?? Love her 🙂
- What is that whole diaologue about making memories while holding a random picture under the blanket and why does Jaehun make Haejun kiss a picture of himself?? And who or what is holding the blanket for them and why is it shaking that damn much?? 🤣

I think it's often the case for the small budget channels, even if you pay you get little to nothing. The actors are often still way too stiff, which is fine, really. If I decide to watch one of those short BLs, its more to support and cheer for the actors anyway, but I won't let them make me go broke over a few bad kiss scenes 🤣🤣
dailymotion is always a great option, if one's really curious. But tbh until now, I've never been motivated enough to go to search for the uncut versions of those short yt dramas ((If it's Myeongcheol x Hyeonseo I'd definitely search days till I find every last scene, but for some rando with stiff acting ... no thanks🤣))

Started ep1 and Mignon's voice directly reminded me of Hyeonseo's (or is it just the teasing way in which he speaks as Haejun?) am I already going crazy?? But really, I closed my eyes for a second and I could literally see Hyeonseo in front of me with that voice 🤣
And absolutely yees, Hyeonseo and Mignon have the same puppy vibes 🥰 And Mignon's sometimes slightly dumb smile reminds me of Hyeonseo too hahaha the lost puppy is really strong in those two🤣🤣
and though you're right, Hyeonseo isn't built like Mignon, when I went back to rewatch the BTS of the chocolate eating scene (again thanks to ur reminder btw 🙏), I was surprised how muscular and toned his arms actually are. We just dont get to see them a lot, but i think he might even have a better build than Myeongcheol, but we shouldnt see that bcs Jaehun is supposed to be dominant. So shh 🤫
But maybe that's also why Myeongcheol reminds you of the doctor. The doctor's so slender and has rather sharp features. I totally see the similarities and bet Myeongcheol could totally nail this role or any vampire role at that 🔥 😏 (pls with that same hairstly we both love! )
Actually, when I just had finished ep 2, I wrote down: "I already see ur vision of Myeongcheol and Hyeonseo doing the live action ommgg can we please start a petition somehow somewheree???" I was literally convinced that quickly 🤣 Maybe I'm just a little needy 🥹🤲 But if they do it, pls find a production and director team who does it right. Dont let that go to waste!!

And actually... I expected eeeverything but not him being a vampire. OMG the blood bag in his mouth made cackle 🤣🤣 A minute before, I even thought 'weird that they gave him red eyes' but I didn't gave it much thought. Good thing that I didnt read any synopsis and just went straight into it, I love vampire stuff and I loved the surprise!! 😍
The first blood kiss already made me blush 🙈... ahhh i need the live action right noww 😭 And why is the doctor so hot when he's angryy (again, Myeongcheol could pull that off I swear🥲)

I was nearly crying when he was dying and then he bit him and OMG I love how they animated his vampire transformation! That bathtub scene, it was so hot, i dont even dare to imagine a live action of that... or else I'd instantely overheat and die 🥵🔥

Right after his transformation, Mignon, the clingy, sulking puppy not wanting to leave the side of his "master" LOL And the ending scene after the credits where Mignon's just fully unrestrained and controlling of the doctor I can't hahaha i want that type of defying energy from Haejun tomorrow 🤣🤣

And now to the climax. I literally replayed the scene where they kiss and Mignon asks "will you let me in" 5 times before continuing to watch till the end. The tensssioon 🥵🔥 that's how you do ittt. I wished the directors of ToL would learn from them 🥲
But they really made Mignon suddenly 2 times as huge in the bed scene or was it just in general after he became a vampire. I just noticed he suddenly was a real giant 🤣🤣🤣

Also random side note, I liked the old dude a lot and he made me laugh. He reminded me a bit of the old dude in Spirited Away, the boss of the soot sprites, dont ask me why either, maybe bcs I thought he was evil and surpressing his worker too in the beginning 😅

Ahh wow I'm still so speechless (yes, I say that as I write this frking long review that's more of an essay for you 🤣). It's not just a great BL, it's such a great anime 👏👏 I havent watched anything that's that short, but so good in a loong while. Like how did they condense everything necessary, and so impactfully at that, into these 12 short eps? I really dont feel like sth was missing, though I wished it was longer for sure. But it didnt lack anything: The story was on point, the drawing and animation style was great (I loved how they used the red color throughout) and the voice actors did a great job, too!! Wahh everything's just perfect!! 😍 Thank you for recommending this masterpiece to me!! 🙇‍♀️
I'll shut up now and fall into my bed 🫠 I need some sleep before I watch the next Tide of Love ep tomorrow, or I won't survive 🫠🫠
