It was a great drama mainly due to acting and production. However, they had to have a love triangle here also🤣 seriously this is beyond my comprehension i feel I haven't seen 1 kdrama without a love triangle or something like that

Wait you are not making sense. You said she let go of her ex bf without fighting and she also let go of her position so isn't it consistent with her personality as of now? How is it contradictory

I think there are many factors. Kdrama viewership skyrocketed in past few yrs so there's always demand. Actors can work in multiple projects if no. Of eps reduced. Also producers hv to pay per ep basis so it means less pay it's like a win win for many stakeholders

Yeah you articulated it beautifully. Being together in an intimate relationship for 30 years is an unimaginably long time. Many marriages even don't last that long. And it's not like there are tons of good girls in that small town. I completely understand the ML. For the FL obviously she tried to get over her ex but maybe her failed relationships mean something

Yes i was thinking the exact same thing. It's a jtbc paid cable tv drama so i guess focus is on local ratings more than global audience

I feel both actors seemed over the top at times but it's how the char were written i think

From these 2 episodes i don't think we can label the ML as complete simp. I mean a simp would have followed her to seoul and begged her to take him back.😃and in his small town with mostly old people i guess he didn't find a girl who could sweep him off his feet. Also, it's entirely possible that he let her go so that she won't have an attachment in her town and he stayed back to protect his village.we will have to wait and watch Still JCW never fails to surprise me- just 2 months back he was a sigma police officer/gangster who literally bit a guy's neck off and bathed in his blood and now he's a cute loving town man🤣

Yeah i watched it, JCW was great in it but sadly it didn't get much viewership so probably he won't get casted in those type of roles again

2nd episode was much better in my opinion. Hopefully it will go upwards from here. Not downwards. But seriously though, can we please see JCW in a serious romance or thriller romance. He's the romcom 👑 but i am getting tired seeing the LITC and suspicious partner type of jcw character. Typecasting is so severe in korea i am actually surprised he managed to do so many different genres over the years.

Yeah i really hope that they won't drag the love triangle and haesun's ex bf for too long in the story but unfortunately its 16 ep so i feel as if they will. Honestly i will just watch it for jcw and shs. Premise of the story seems very cliche hopefully they will have atleast a decent story which can drag on for 16 ep

Anyone knows the ratings of " the worst of evil" ? I mean in terms of popularity is it a superhit?

It will be so fun to see the 2016 JCW in 2023 lol. Almost like time travel

Just give good writing and direction to JCW and he will fire up the screen ( case in point: empress ki ,healer)
