I've heard they changed the director but Bai Shan will serve as one of the producers. Is it true? I'm kind of worried that changing the director may affect the tone of the drama.
Damn. Well deserved. But also, lots of pressure on S3.
There's rumor that they will start shooting S3 this autumn. But in a thread on Douban, some fans are worried that it's too early. They think the production team should take time preparing and not rushing it. I agree. Although I can't wait to see S3 but I'd rather they shot next year as it should give them more time to prepare.

I agree. I think he's pretty comfortable with where he is now in terms of popularity. It allows him to choose good projects that will sharpen his acting skills. Maybe that's why in his 2 upcoming dramas his co-stars are all veteran actors, even in SToTD. Very smart of him. You're right about him steering clear of heavy romantic dramas.
Well said. LuLu is quite cunning now and so far removed from his S1 self. The actor is good looking and well built…
I don't think so. I don't have a weibo account. I can see some posts though not a lot. Maybe it depends on the country we're located? But I've found one on Facebook. Somebody posted it. I think you should be able to open it. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/ZERoEx4YPpT4SEX3/
I like her here much more in season 2 than in Season 1. I guess because her integration to the gang in season…
I agree. I think it comes down to the script. Her short appearance in S1 was not well written in my opinion. Had it been designed better, the audience would be able to connect with her despite her brief appearance. My impression of her was neutral in S1. But I really like her in S2, more than Xijun tbh. I like Xijun, but Ying Tao has really impressed me in S2. Her character is colorful and her fight scenes are almost as good as LuLu. Same, I hope Su Wuming will show his appreciation towards her in S3.

I don't expect a sizzling romance either. The amount of it now is enough for me. I pretty much enjoy the cases, the chemistry within the gang, the cultural and historical details. These are what make me love this drama. Btw, why do you think Yang Xuwen would stay away from heavy romantic roles? I see that he has two non-romantic contemporary dramas coming up, but he had a romantic drama in 2022 after SToTD 1 right?
I thought the rake was a pretty cool weapon and the way the villain fought with it was really good!
In some scenes, a couple of characters used a feather duster to hit another person. I thought it was supposed to be dramatic but somehow it cracked me up π LuLu looks really good in fight scenes β€οΈβπ₯

Right? I can see the similarities. If only they made Xijun more witty like Elizabeth Bennet. The chemistry would be electrifying. I like Xijun but I sometimes find her a bit too vanilla π Jane Austen has proven that sexual tension can be created without touching. The writer of SToTD may need to learn from her.

There are various weapons in SToTD universe. One time LuLu used a kitchen knife in S1 too π And even a feather duster makes an appearance in S2 π
So now that s2 is finished, which case was everyone's favorite?
I think there are more interesting cases in S2 than in S1. My rank would be: 1. Death of coroner, 2. Letter from ghost, 3. Mara's defeat and Drunk in Yunding. But I also like Mo's Inn because of the comedy.

Yang Xuwen's studio often posted bts footage. It always opens with LuLu's avatar.
