Hey I agree with this scoring. Watched Liar Game, Squid Game and Alice in Borderlands as well Gantz (both anime and live action). I would have to say the Japanese Liar Game is to me the best one there is. Followed by Alice in Borderlands. But Squid game is good as well.
So just finished this drama. The start is wild and good. In the middle the action scenes are sparser and then towards the end it picks up again. Gave it 9/10. Story is rather good although a bit stretched with the main antagonist. OST is great. Namgoong Min is awesome as usual...
So unlike the Kim Ji Soo incident which involved not just bullying but sexual assault also which the actor didn't dispute, here I am on the camp for due process and the need for a independent investigation. So lets wait and see. Now even if it were true should she deserve a complete expulsion from the industry? I don't think so... However maybe a reconciliation with Lee Hyun Joo would be possible? I don't know just spitballing here... They kicked her out just to be safe. However the trend is worrisome in the future online accusations could ruin anyone's career.
It looks like some teenage girl with no idea about relationships at all wrote the plot for the main couple Wtf…
Well you've put this very directly but I do get the gist of it. However I would like to say that I don't think Yoon Song Ah is guilty here or bad. The problem is not actually her. She chose her career, fair enough. The main lead should have let her go though. He is the one that is written always putting the needs of his others before his own. And although they will give us a happy ending this type of relationship rarely leads to a mutually happy one.
"One accuser on social media also claimed that he “even forced male students to do him a favor, ejaculating on the victim's face. I have a recorded conversation with the victim about the incident as proof”. " "He was a 'womanizer', and he even filmed himself having intercourse with a middle school student in a bathroom.” Now I get it you feel attacked and hurt because we are disagreeing with you but look at those that suffered from his actions, how do you think they feel every time he smiles at them from a poster?
Make your own conclusions. Just to mention one more time he could have disputed the sexual assault allegations in his letter. He didn't... Best of wishes to you! I've got nothing against you. I wish you many happy moments in your life watching your favourite tv shows. Peace out.
Yes of course presumption of innocence. But why would he write a apology letter if he was innocent?
Lot of women were ready to nail Johnny Deep on the cross when Amber Heard accused him of assault and domestic violence. But now a dude whose chest every teenage girl likes to look at does something bad and they are screaming for presumption of innocence. Kinda' hypocritical... Just because someone is good looking doesn't mean they can get away with hurting others.
Just to add as a guy I am always for the innocent until proven guilty but in this case he basically admitted guilt so in that case I'm for the: "You do the crime you do the time!".
What about all the women that spoke against Weinstein? Are you questioning their testimonies as well? 'Cos they…
I am the first guy that believes in innocent until proven guilty. Because some accusations turn out to be false and then ruin the life of the innocent. However some people that are bullied feel the effects for years and years. And the mental trauma can return decades after the fact. Sometimes they forget about it but the trauma returns after seeing the perpetrator on social media or as in this case on a drama. And then after some time they finally muster the courage to speak out. "You learn to come to terms with it. Not necessarily forgive, but accept it as part of your past and move on." - some people can some people can't. You can't generalize.
I said this before, and I'll repeat it again even if what they said is true I don't believe someone should be…
If what they said is true the dude committed sexual assault. You don't forgive for that, you send them to jail for that. I'm not saying it is true BUT if it is true that is a crime.
First of all bullying is a problem in every culture. It is a fact. And I do think bullying should be addressed. If the accusations are true then the bullies themselves should definitely apologize, ask for forgiveness BUT MEAN IT. On the other hand if the accusations are false the false accusers should definitely be punished. Now what happens afterwards should bullies be allowed to return to showbiz life. Well I don't know in a way I don't think it is fair to rob someone of their way to earn for a living. On the other hand the pain and anguish felt by those being bullied is not something that should be forgotten or ignored. This is something the society itself should really think about.
Previous poster did link to an update about Park Hye Soo that sheds a light on this situation as her not being a bully. This might be possible. I am gonna stay out of it BECAUSE: 1. I don't know all the facts nor the people involved 2. I don't know the veracity of the allegations
Lets hope this gets resolved in a way that truth is adhered to.
I'm putting it on hold. I'll continue watching it once I have nothing else to watch. The story feels very shallow…
Agreed. I usually like this kind of Sci-fi shows. But here it is just constantly the same events repeating. Zi O runs away, those three gangsters chase him, they figh,. Zi O wins. Repeat. How many times did they have thescene where zi O holds the arm of Lee Son and tries to electrocute him? In 6 episodes I could count at least 5...

It is a fact that he wrote an apology letter in which he didn't dispute a single accusation against him. Not a single one. He was not just accused of bullying but also and I am taking a quote here (https://meaww.com/where-did-actor-kim-ji-soo-grow-up-childhood-tales-bullying-sexual-harassment-began-k-drama-apology):
"One accuser on social media also claimed that he “even forced male students to do him a favor, ejaculating on the victim's face. I have a recorded conversation with the victim about the incident as proof”. "
