I had a special feeling about that scene because I recognized his crying as identical to the way I saw him cry…
yes, I read it. He was so happy the drama did justice to his novel. He loved the ending as well, he called it legendary. I also saw an interview with him and DD. They had so much fun. The truth is that the writer is very very happy and it's very emotional to see that. His work took life on the screen.
We as viewers may comment left and right, but he is the one who must be the happy one. And he was ecstatic ! That's great !

LOL bless website full of toxic dogs.
Listen you little moron. You appeared out of nowhere after the drama ended to just fool around with nonsense. It's clear for everyone you are just an idiot, but don't you think you are better off another page ? I mean...what you planned to do here isn't working. You can continue but it's all in vain. My advice : you're wasting your time and you are very close to become pathetic.

The actor who plays supervisor always gets no. 1 powerful person in drama
I liked him the most even if he didn't appear so often. He has many things to tell us in season 2.

Title Guardians of the Dafeng Spoiler
Does anyone else find some important points for S2
- master of no. 4 is state perceptor with lots of power as well, desired by the emperor and tries to stay far from the emperor. also she knows the fortune is in XQA like the dean of yunlu academy and the supervisor and keeps it a secret
- XQA doesn't belong to witcher sect but Realm Sect
- his uncle doesn't remember because the man in black used the mystify spell at the Linyuan battle of year 17
- Shen shu is very powerful so the enemies sent a trap to catch him and divide him in pieces, one of the pieces was the arm in the lake. He is also very important for his tribe as those 2 tianyu monks came to take him home but they realized is best to let him recover in XQA's body. He was extremely exhausted after zhenbei's fight as although not fully recovered he had to help XQA in using the royal sword to defeat Zhenbei.
- national fortune of Dafeng is explained by Lord Wei to XQA
- Huaiqing is part of imperial court and makes sure she keeps a good position to not be a threat which needs to be eliminated but she is extremely smart as well and knows how to play the political game at its best. She is also very well connected with the heads of different sects and academies which make her an important player. Crown Prince is a weak and scared young man, tormented by his father who is next in line to the throne. From these 2 only princess is connected to XQA, because if she will ever get the throne she needs his help.
- lord wei story is that he loved the empress, so did she, an arranged marriage appeared between her and the emperor and Lord Wei lost her but never stopped loving her. She is also the weak spot of lord wei that the emperor uses every time he needs to quiet down lord wei by mentioning the well being and safe position of the empress. ex: a thief came inside the palace and the empress is very scared. We need the empress to be ok. It's a lie, of course, but also a hint to stay quiet and play nice.

What book and chapter is the ending in this drama?
DD has already finished filming 2 projects. A thriller, detective, suspense drama which will air in march/april this year (Light to the Night - LTTN) and just a few days ago a SF movie which will air in cinemas probably this year as well. The latest, next year.
He has signed contracts from 2022 and he is booked until the end of 2025.
They are not all known to the public yet, because he is bound by contract and only the production companies will disclose the info when they want to disclose it. That's a marketing strategy.

Title Guardians of the Dafeng Spoiler
A comment about ep 40 spoiler below
I had a special feeling about that scene because I recognized his crying as identical to the way I saw him cry in real life. He has his own personal way of starting to cry which can be seen in 3 videos (one when his mentor says he is so proud of him), another in the Wonderland show at an interview when they had an emotional moment they had to share and the 3rd in the rap show when a high school principle attended, singing rap and sharing his joy for rap.
You confirmed this to me now. Thank you !

I really liked the final four episodes... all except the last half of the last episode. If you're legit wanting…
he doesn't want anything legit. he is a well known hater that says the same in most of the dramas page. he is here just to rate it down and put it in a bad light so don't give him fuel for free. he will not understand your view nor he cares and he will just use the information against the drama.

Last 40 minutes or so were.... strange. It felt like they are hedging their bets by trying to give the show an…
It didn't seem to me like that. In the last episode they laid the ground for another season. Nothing from those 40 min showed me it's an ending in case there won't be a 2nd season. On the contrary, everything points to a season 2 and a continuation. They also closed the loose points of what was happening in season 1.

As for the unnecessary feeling, it might seem like that if you expected the drama to have the identical path with the novel or very close related. But it's a well know fact that adaptations adapt.

You also must take into consideration that an adaptation cannot take place ever without the novel writer's permission and guidance. And his signature on a very very well verified and long contract which stipulates the changes that will take place. If the writer gave the permission, he believes the drama goes in the direction that he intended and he is ok with it.

Also I don't understand where it was dragged down because I didn't get that feeling at all, but I suppose this is just a matter of drama vs novel. It's easier for me to embrace it because I take it just as it is, without comparing it with the novel.

Also, during this drama a lot of novel spoilers came out. This is a great thing because it widened our perspective, but not all viewers have the capacity to make a difference between what it is written and what it will appear in the drama. They take the information for granted, they remember it and make it a basic point and later they don't understand why the drama didn't mention it or used it. They just don't realize that by using it will simply complicate things and it will take more episodes in order to cover it and it's not that important to the adaptation.

A simple example : we were introduced of what the fortune of Dafeng is. Then a spoiler says that only half of it is in XQA, the other half is somewhere else. WTF ? I am just learning about it and now things appear to be even more complicated. But let's say the adaptation will just keep it as a whole and all of it in XQA. The viewer might wait till the end concentrating to find where the other half is and misses all the other points.

And more so, it's also a matter of perception. I read all spoilers and it seems that at a certain point, some readers seem to understand very different certain things then other readers. So the question is : which reader understood it well ?

Thank you for all your inputs as a novel reader! You helped us a lot.
