Post away, I like to read comments and engage in discussions, but it works better on profiles since it;s more a one on one conversations; forums are more difficult to keep up with. The part aboiut rewatching dramas: yes, I agree, rewatching dramas right after you first watched them will only kill theml you need to take a break to forget about the twists and turns, take some distance and then rewatch it for a new effect. I tend to see the first one episide...and then the last one to see whether the story is going in the right direction, especially if it;s a story that I picked myself; if a drama was recommended I will not usually peek at the ending, but the rule is I have to see whether the ending is worthwile and it doesn;t kill the drama for me at all lol, spoilers, escept for detailed analysis do not bother or detract from my viewing experience at all.

Actually, Jean Rhys is one of the texts I intend to teach, I know the story more or less and the construction of identity, female identiyy by a female cross-cultural writer (English-Dominica) and also as an intertextual link to Jane Eyre, this madwoman in the attic. These things are very interesting for discussions. I just haven't analysed it well enough yet to offer a commentary; I am actually going to do this sometime next week as I need to sit down, read the book and think all about these issues.

such a project for the first time; it's formative; he will accept everything as long as it's acceptable.

Film as opposed to movie adaptation, I believe I'm getting your point; A film is an independent source of meaning and creates an independent interpretative space as such it should ideally, complement the text or shed some new insights into it to broden the interpretative scope. 4-6 years for a BA? That's a bit too long. * years used to be the time for PhD; nowaydays they want PhDs to do it in 3-4 years time which is a bit ridiculous, especially given what you're saying about BA. Well, there is another side to it, so much time spent on a BA is usually productive as it teaches you how to use methodology and theory; I feel my teacher-oriented studies did not exactly give me the best foundations for it; and this process of Ma writing I am doing on my own since my supervisor is a bit lazy and does not really tell me what I'm doing write or wrong, which is important when you're writing

I believe I will be done with it tomorrow. I watched 22 episodes since yesterday (I was at 15 today morning) and since I took a day off from writing, I just kept watching..but I am very drained at the moment, that's for sure and this is getting more fired upp in these final episodes so I need to get a rest before I venture into the final episodes. I didn't realise these dramas were called makjang, I was not aware of this term so thank you for bringing it to my attention, I'll need to think about it and its definition.
Well, i';s more like the final scene was added as an afterhtought and stood out from the rest as incongrous because of it, but you'll judge for yourself. I am not saying word for fear iof spoiling it. My mouth is zipped, unless of course you'll have some thoughts along the way you'd like to share; I'll be always happy to hear about your insightful observations.

Mirichan, personally I am happy when dramas end. because I can enjoy my happy endings and I know that no further complications are coming; besides making some of them longer would only tire the material and bring the drama down and since most dramas are mostly the same, I will be getting more of the same anyway just with different cast; and I always think- you can always revisit that drama and enjoy it again and also delight in the happy ending lol . That's why I"m worried about the second season of Jade Palace a bit. The ending was rushed and abrupt but still, it was a happy one, not sure what they are going to ber working with now. Or maybe it;s just a spin off with the same cast. Who knows. 8th prince and our modern day heroine were lovable and Yang Mi and FSF worked well together, so I; curious: what now lol

Well I see you're doing a great job with the recommendations :-) I'm at the stage where I really feel I need to watch more )(and have a good moment for it since I'm free for 11 more days), gather material, organise the themes and then post away. I have come here principally however because of this list making feature. Didn't realise the site would be so addicting ang occupy such a great degree of my time.

I guess given that my own youth isn;t quite as exciting, I never did identify with Raine's chaacter. But the typical situations most of these dramas have almost always manage to squeeze some emotions from me. The japaese hana yori dango was one of the first dramas I ever watched and I was instantly taken with how well it was made; it was really the drama that got me here. See you;re watching goong. Try watching also the spin-off, goong s, it;s underestimated becxause it suffers from comparisons with goong but to me it had a bit mor depth than goong. I wonder, how did you find ikemen desu ne? Very similar to You're beautiful?

Hello, thank you for friend request ^^

I did watch miss no good and contrary to what most people think, I did not find Raine annoying in it, just sorta like Taiwanese Fran Dresher. It's not my top drama because it was too cutesy (the hearts and a bit of weird humour) but I wouldn't say the acting's too over the top. She was trying to be a Christmas tree lol. I did like her hair. But I really loved hotaru no hikari. I thought it was heaertwarming and reminiscent of summer. Amemiya was endearing.

Sure as is the drama, I'm quite contented they won quite a few reconigtions, though too bad not for the OST, which is really beautiful.ark Shi Hoo is quite the cutie pie lol Moon Chae Won is an excellent actress to but I really like that lee Son Jae is again donning the grandafhter/father/kingly figure, he may be typceast but he's possibly the best known grandfather in Korean dramas heh. And postman to heaven is a lovely movie, like a little poem.
