Furthermore the presiding officers even tried coerced her into recanting her statement and went as far as to lie to the media about it. There were literally bruises on various parts of her body, including her ankle, knee, shoulder, cervical vertebrae, and lower back. She resisted the court just didn't recognized her effort of escape because it was noot severe enough. In korea unless your're brutally beaten up by the perpetrator then they won't consider it as rape if there is even a sligh chance you could run away or shout for help.

There was evidence to show he raped her but they were dismissed because korea does not recognize it as rape. they're simply sayiing that telling a man no i don't want to sleep with you isn't enough to consider them as a rapist.

Lee Jin Wook did not receive a sentence because the judge said that not giving consent is not enough to be considered rape. Therefore the Not guilty verdict as i state before does not mean he was false accused or is in anyway innocent.
