After four episodes in I have decided to give this story away. I found it wasn’t what it promised to be, as I had enjoyed the first episode very much.

I can see why many like it. It is well made. It has a great premise. There is a great cast and they do a fabulous job, it’s just that for me, key elements of the story clash too much against each other (e.g. Toru’s mish mash leadership style, inconsistencies regarding the concept of innovation, Toru’s condition).

Some have been critical of Chihiro’s character and interaction or intention towards Toru. I found her character delightful - prepared to say what she needed to say (and every good boss needs someone to do this). Her feelings for him are what they are and we shouldn’t read too much into it.

I will be tuning in to the Korean remake though to see if it deals with some of my bugbears in a different way.

I have just finished episode 10 and I can honestly say that, so far I am enjoying this series. It’s easy watching and Chang Janine is turning in a fine performance. I also, like many of the other characters. They all seem to blend in just fine. I like the way this show is filmed and the theme song is great.

It has a little bit of everything including some lighter moments and our lead pair know how to impart their feelings for one another in their key moments together. I don’t even think it really matters what the reason is for their initial breakup. I think they are great together.

So in short, for this type of Cdrama, it’s better than most.

One of my all time favourite dramas. I wish there were more like it (and the original Japanese version is great too). Kim Hee Ae and Ji Jin Hee were just wonderful and proof that that the experienced actors know how to deliver on such a story with that the younger actors would find hard to manage. I would have been happy for the story to keep going.

Such a beautiful short film. This is 30 minutes you will never regret and it makes you wonder why there aren’t more movies and dramas like this one.

I ended up enjoying this movie overall. I found the first half was just okay and then it came into its own in the second half. The mum was great along with some very funny moments and some heartwarming moments as well. 7.5/10

Try Kiss Drama and KissAsian. Also Netflix
Netflix does have a help centre:

https://help.netflix.com/en

Sometimes deleting and reinstalling Netflix will fix a problem.

I’m not sure what else you can do other than watching it on another drama app or free streaming service.

A very good, taut thriller with a classic ending. The filming, locations and set direction were A1 and the acting was top notch. I downloaded it and watched it on a flight and then I had to watch the ending when I got to my destination. What would you do if you were chosen?

Try looking for Something in the Rain in your watch history. You will need to go into your Netflix account, then look for your profile (My Profile) and then click on Viewing Activity. Something in the Rain should be listed there. Click on Something in the Rain and then it should link you through. If you are still having an issue, there is also a Report a Problem link to Netflix In your Vieing Activity next to the last episode you watched.

At the halfway mark all I can say is: wow and wow and more wow.

There is a lot going on here besides the incredible romance (and let’s hope it keeps building and growing and doesn’t derail at some point. These two just nail it so naturally).

Is her Mum annoying etc? Yes, but what a piece of great acting - naturally portrayed along with most of the other characters in this drama. The Dad is marvellous. The stirring of each other (the women) in the workplace - you do have to smile. The sequence with the friends younger girlfriends etc says a lot about how the future can be embraced and what a lovely person Jin Ah really is.

As for the ex - yes, well, say no more. I think everyone agrees there needs to be a final solution. And maybe we have that now.

The revolution in the workplace and the office politics - great stuff. It’s nice to finally see this issue being dealt with wholeheartedly in a Korean drama. We still need to see which way the CEO will go, but he seems to be a realist.

If you noticed how our fabulous couple were watching the movie Singing in the Rain (a romantic comedy considered the greatest musical of all time and one of the all time great movies) during episode 5, it says something about this drama overall when you look at the words to this movies’ central song:

Why am I smiling
And why do I sing?
Why does September
Seem sunny as spring?
Why do I get up
Each morning and start?
Happy and head up
With joy in my heart
Why is each new task
A trifle to do?
Because I am living
A life full of you.

I really enjoyed this show. In fact it’s one of my all time favourites. I liked the different contrasts re the characters and the many imperfections they had. I thought the leads had good chemistry and the challenges to their relationship I found compelling because I wanted things to work out for them. That aside, the songs in the opening and closing credits are the best you will hear regarding any show. Magical.

Just when I thought it was losing its way a little bit, episode 13 was a cracker of an episode and refocused the whole story. I’m looking forward to what happens next.
