Unfortunately it is quite common in many countries, the fact that it is common it does not makeit right tho. But it is easy for humans to get affected when a certain set of morals, mindset and opinions prevail in a society.
It is possible that Build did not realize the weight his words carried back then. But it is important to acknowledge the damage his words have caused.

I do agree that joking about something when it does not affect you it is easy but at the same time insesitive. It is basic human courtesy to show respect and understanding concerning matters like these. It is in times like that that we are called to show our humane side, we should provide support and understanding and no disregard the trauma or feelings of a victim.

I am deeply disappointed by that statement of Build, I want to believe that his mindset has changed over the years, people can make mistakes, no one is a saint. I can only hope that his apology is sincere and that he truly learnt from his past mistakes.

I think we should seperate celebrities from their works. We get too invested in the celebrities sometimes because we enjoy their work and we forget that we don't know them on a personal level, thus ,we can not really form a complete opinion about the kind of a person they are.

As someone who really admired Build I am deeply disappointed by the news concerning his statement.

First of all, I am disappointed by the stalkerish behaviour of the so called fans. How do they even find things like that? They should put those detective skills to use for better purposes caue I am sure their intentions were ill. It just happened that they found some dirt on Build, which he should be accountable for. There is no excuse for what he said.

Am I disappointed in Build? A lot. I don't feel that I can view him the same way I did hours ago. I just hope he really reflected on his past actions and statements and that he aims to be a better version of himself. I can only hope his apology was sincere.

I understand that humans are shaped by their environments and no one is born with the right mindset. The country, our family, the people we interact with, the environment we were raised into play a major role in forming our mindset , morals and opinions. Maybe Build did not have the opportunity or option to come across different opinions, maybe he did not have the chance to get educated. He can be given the benefit of the doubt. However, that does not take away the damage his words may have caused . As a woman, I respect my self and other women more than I respect an idol I admire or a series that I like. Women should support women as we know the best our struggles.
