I was wondering where folks got the idea Pete "enjoyed" being tortured. I never got that. Bu t I trusted those…
In the novel they tried to convince us that Pete is a masochist so they can tone down the abuse I suppose, but Pete never enjoyed any of the abuse caused by Vegas in the book. Being a masochist has to do with consent, rape is rape and I don;t think is something anyone would enjoy.
In the series he was just happy to ruin Vegas' plan and he did not want to give Vegas the pleasure to break him. He was being strong
EXACTLY! Theri story should have started at ep 7-8.
I hope too that season 2 will not take too long to air.
I definitely think that VP is rushed at some parts but the story overall makes sense, especially if we take into consideration the limited screentime they had to work with.
Their story has changed a lot from the novel so their dynamic is also kinda different and it also seems that their overall journey will be different.
I am enjoying some changes but some others leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Pete is one of the strongest characters in the series, I admire his courage and how he fights back and does not surrender easily. He is taking control of the situation in any way he can.
Vegas has a soft side and we can see it when he takes care of his pet hedgehog. He is no abusing animals, he is proven to be a manipulatie asshole but he does not abuse animals which means there is a human side to him that Pete will be able to witness soon.
He is lonely but how come that loneliness never got to him when he was using other people? Those people even showed…
I agree on that, they needed some more episodes to develop more the bond between Vegas and pete so they can connect more to each other and so us the viewers could understand that connection better.
omg Angel you are here too?I came to remind everyone in here that this is the best thriller in K drama history,…
Yeah , it is really interesting to see his POV while he was still evil. It was a unique experience as we don't get to see an actual main character being pure evil and manipulating everyone around him just for laughs.

Okay thank you for this comment. It was a really nice read, it does make more sense now, but I wish they had dedicated more time so it could feel more natural if you get what I mean.

This makes a bit of sense but it still takes away the effect Pete had on Vegas. Plus, it is still rushed cause most viewers were confused during this scene. They could have handled it better.
Pete is clearly a good judge of character and despite him coming off as naive or innocent I think he is more aware of his surroundings than what he lets on. He knows people are neither heroes nor villains, that means he has come across enough complicated circumstances that made him come to this conclusion. He also gave advice to Kinn about his relationship with Porsche in ep 5 which means he has an idea of what the nature of their relationship is. He is also really observant as he has proved before, for example,he was the only one to notice the little shrine dedicated to Vegas' mom back in ep 7. He has been watching Vegas for so long and he was the one to ruin his plans in ep 10 by entering his house and finding the information they needed to reveal his betrayal. He can tell that Vegas enjoys inflicting pain that is why he does his best not to surrender during torture and keeps fighting back. However, since he knows there is no black and white in the world he knows that there is something that led Vegas to this behaviour, It was his cruel upbringing and his father's treatment. After spending time with Vegas and seeing his vulnerable side he could tell that he is the product of his father's inferiority complex which Vegas' dad passed on Vegas as well since he compares him to Kinn all the time. It is possible that Vegas' dad hates Vegas because he sees himself in him, he is reminded of his failure in beating his brother.Plus, Vegas never thought of this perspective, he thought of himself as a failure instead of seeing the big picture. Pete was in a similar sutuation as him but he was able to figure out that the problem was not him but his father, unlike Vegas. This makes me believe that Pete is better at reading people and it is something he can use against Vegas.
If pete is able to read any situation he finds himself in and he can make out a person's personality based on the little information he is given, then he can also use that to his advantage and take control of the situation.
Yeah this is me turning Pete into a master manipulator, probably not gonna happen but let me dream.

You prhased it perfectly.
Pete and Vegas really complete each other, they are a perfect match.
well I waited for VP so many weeks, I can wait for the rest of the subplots too.
VP lives rent free in my mind.
I think Pete is the only one who can put Vegas to his place.
have fun bby
I can post it again in the replies here if you want to read it.
Dude gave his life away just to be forgotten the next minute lol

Important parts were rushed and took away some of the impact the original story had,
