I wonder if they'll do the aftermath as a special episode (because that's not where it ends in the novels).
This has GOT to be one of the best Thai dramas of the year and actually the first Sammon-written drama I actually liked a whole lot. Also one of the very best OP and theme songs of any Thai drama I've ever watched (maybe even a bit better than my previous favourite, Fake Protagonist from Theory of Love, LOL).
There's a great chemistry between the leads, none of the support charas are overdone - neither Boss or Nurse On, I liked them all and they all made sense. Great writing!!
I seriously wish they did a few minutes of an extra, just for those who won't read the actual novel ending, LOL. You all deserve it :D
Mid-ep20... WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F*CK IS SHEN YI DOING HAS HE LOST HIS FREAKING TINY ARTISTIC MIND
ETA If I were Du Cheng I would've slapped him into next week just for that stunt. I wonder why he isn't in a madhouse by now. Don't tell me this is where the season is heading to dammit.
Still not really feeling it. For a 12-eps series, it's moving too slow for the kind of story it seems to want to tell. The pacing keeps jumping all over the place, the songs go in wherever with no rhyme or reason, I don't think I'll be sticking with this one. I might give it another ep, if I remember next week that this is airing...
I'm thinking about to watch this drama, but I'm not sure yet.Can someone please let me know, what this drama is…
It's one of the best dramas I've ever watched and went on the rewatch list as soon as I finished it. This is a plot-driven, character-driven, less-martial arts, less special effects, less romance (though not zero) kind of drama. Great attention was given to sets and music, too.
It needs attention and patience and it won't move fast - more like a behemoth that once in motion will just go on and on and on.
It also can't be described in just a few words - but think of it as a masterpiece revenge story and also a redemption tale and one of the most beautiful bromances ever (with no romantic angle if you want to know).
I'm not really sold, I'll wait out on the second episode to decide. The strongest selling point is the FL's family (particularly the way both parents form a wall to protect their son), the weakest point (for me) is her expression when looking at people (I KNOW why she's doing it - because of her son's issue - BUT it looks fake as hell and makes her always look kind of out of it.)
I am not really in the mood of a trust-and-break-and-trust again story, though, I hope they move on pretty quickly out of that cycle. And I seriously wish for some bromance between the two JinWoo-s. Here's hoping.
Very good so far, the suspense actually works and the ending isn't predictible at all (I think it would work with either a HEA or a BE, but it still isn't clear what they're choosing for it). The sweet moments (the few of them) are even sweeter because of the uncertainty.
IMHO this is one of the better Thai BLs so far (and there isn't even all that much BL in it anyway, other than the relationship). So skinship isn't really necessary to make it good :D
Sequels, what sequels, what did the storyteller mean? Because I'm in (I know they're just teasing though, LOL).…
The part that wasn't that smooth was Song Han's sudden switch from cuddlebug to plotting revenger - because WHY?! He used to love his (not) mother! And the freaking dad - WHY?! They were both his sons, and YanTang was the elder, so deal with it and stop making so many damned mistakes!
At some point, everybody was poisoning everybody else, LOL, it was like nobody did any honest sword-or-knife-killing anymore.
And once her past-life birth mark disappeared (and the hilarious cockblocking scenes in their wedding night happened) she never ever tried again to explain why she did what she did?! Someone as paranoid as YanTang should've been all over that. Oh well.
Shoutout to JiYong for being a sneaky plotter along with the Emperor (who was actually kind of weak, rule-of-law-wise....)
Again, a pretty strong ending to the drama year, I'm very glad I tried that first ep because then it was just a continuous binging :D

Zoey Meng was great, and so was Li YunRui - and also basically all the cast, TBH. The story was pretty tight, the cinematography worked, I just wish it moved a bit faster in the romance part and had longer fighting or plotting scenes.
Overall, a very nice drama, a very nice surprise for the end of the year :D
...I might even try the novel, though around 500 chapters seem a bit daunting LOL.
PS But YanTang looks best with his grizzled hair, I wish they had him in his gray hair more :D
ETA PSA There's a post-credits short scene epilogue to the final episode you'd want to watch.
So the mood of the game halfway through is that Du Cheng is really, really worried. I loved the guilting part,…
I bet the fiance isn't so innocent as he made out to be. He definitely did something to Ao Li back then to make her become so self-destructive. I hope they manage to save her.
So the mood of the game halfway through is that Du Cheng is really, really worried. I loved the guilting part, LOL, Shen Yi KNEW he was in the wrong. And then later with everybody admitting to having done something, he was feeling left out LOL.
...And TBH I am with Du Cheng on this. Shen Yi is fascinated with a new aspect of his work, but he can become too trusting in his instincts and go just that tiny bit too far, and EXACTLY, WHAT IF Du Cheng isn't there to save the day?!
Also... Jiang Feng, the heart is (almost, maybe not that much) willing, but the body definitely isn't able! :D I got tired just watching him bounce :D
FangFang and the wife plotted it together. And the wife gave her the money LOL. I can do some detecting too :D
The two guys from the arson case are definitely duped, they think she's innocent, but she's being pretty fake and Shen Yi noticed it, too. The wife took enough abuse until she snapped. And the husband is the one who supposedly raped FangFang and set it all up.
Unless... maybe FangFang and the husband had something going on (can't remember how old she was supposed to be at the time of the arson), the wife found out and SHE set it all up, getting her son killed in the arson by accident.
Though I bet the fake detective was castrated with the missing clay piece, so it's still FangFang at the core of it.
RE: the previous, AI episode. All I can say is that Cyberdyne Systems better not be up and running already, cause I could definitely see someone (definitely not Du Cheng) leaning forward a bit and saying: I'll be back.
I think he still paints but as his side job now. he's still selling paintings and his new apartment looks expensive…
He had a long career already and made a lot of money (that's why his ex-agent was mad at him for disappearing.) He IS teaching on the side, too, I think he still has plenty of money anyway. It's not money that is his problem...
someone told me he's brother of Du cheng but, it make no sense since he never mentioned having a brother beside,…
I wouldn't worry (much), Du Cheng is there and he's a no-nonsense person. Considering the final eps of the first season though, I would expect something similar centered on Shen Yi, again...
