Nah, it's the same person. He's considering himself a critic of Shen Yi's work, since he's slitting up his paintings that he doesn't agree are up to his own standard.

If he's indeed DaVinci and a psychologist, he's playing a long game with Shen Yi's mind. He won't do very obvious moves (unless presenting some trap to Shen Yi) so that they could just go in and arrest him. I wouldn't be surprised if he has a few puppets raised up already, in order to play with the police more.

Did they say cleaning? The TL said it was videos of people repairing donkey hooves. I think I watched something like that once on some nature program - very vaguely I remember something of glue and it kind of hit me as cannibalistic in a way, LOL, considering how glue is made.

But I'm not a police officer and I don't need their kind of coping mechanisms - my own are more easily used with drama watching, book reading and yelling at people from time to time LOL.

He also set up the dangerous fork in the road choice though. And that led to quite a lot of accidents (not all of them were suicides - the influencer definitely wasn't).

They also never explained about the bear trap Du Cheng almost fell into, either.

IMHO Shen Yi is taking it differently than the one who initially did it (might be the same person). The old painting was not messed up and kind of soulless, as Shen Yi thought of the painting the gallery sold. This new one might have been intended as an illustration of Fontana's slit ~painting~, but not the first. This guy doesn't act on art, he has other purposes, If he's DaVinci, he could have become addicted to playing with people's minds. He could be feeling some vulnerability from Shen Yi that makes it easier to prod him into something.

Which reminds me... Shen Yi is haunted by the girl in the red dress - but did they ever catch the man who was dragging her by the hand, and who was he?

(Fontana is a middle-of-the20th-century abstractionist who made a series of slitted canvases, reaching into another dimension of "painting" (that is usually pretty 2-dimensional.) Shen Yi is teaching art, even if he himself isn't an abstractionist, he would know the meaning behind those works and probably thinks the original cut painting of his own might've been a deep message for himself. And now he's meeting the author of it...)

Depression is like a huge and heavy weight you can never put down. If you fight it long enough you learn to cope and present a somewhat functional exterior when around people, but also when you're alone, the energy invest is not. going. to. happen. No matter what. There's no incentive and no shame and no words to logically change a depressed mood.

You also learn to start avoiding people in order to not be forced to show a positive mood, which also helps secluding oneself and making it even harder to care for yourself or your surroundings. You can't just think happy thoughts or try to be more active to get out of it.

And TBH, it would make one care not one bit about outsiders' reaction. If people she's close to find out she'll probably try to fold even tighter and pretend she doesn't care about them either. Anyway you take it, it will need medication first and foremost, because brain chemistry doesn't change with just psychological help.

He doesn't have a brother, he has an older sister already. I don't think their parents would have been allowed so many children, they weren't really all that rich to afford the penalties, despite the muscle cars habit of Du Cheng's LOL.

...He might be obsessed with Shen Yi though. And the house-tree-person test is way too coincidental, is he actually spying on them somehow?!

You could see Du Cheng trying to remember who Li Han is and why she's being talked about out of the blue when they were speaking of caring for Shen Yi LOL. :D

Also Du Cheng: Don't work yourself up too much over this.

... To the person who left a very successful career as a painter in order to become a police portraitist just to atone for something he wasn't even aware he was doing. Du Cheng still has a long way to go, LOL.

There already is a whole team looking for the girl, and they're here for the skeletons. Since most of them ended up being suicides, it leaves the sister (accident) and the old man (probable murder). And then there's the influencer (accident, but induced, somewhat), and all the others who might not really had come to commit suicide after all...

It's somewhat strange how he kept all those things, almost like murder keepsakes, and still remembers everyone... What if all of those are not actually successful suicides but accidents he helped happen?!

The kid had gone missing, Yun Lei was keeping him from his father, it also could be argued (in front of the police) that the father was distraught the son's kidnapper was going to take him away again. And then there was the hostage-taking incident too, the poor nurse wasn't involved in it and still was traumatised. I think Yun Lei goes to prison at least for that.

Anyway, the father survived and since the kid ended up in foster care, he's also not walking it off free.

I didn't get the timeline right - so the brother took the four climbers up and his sister slipped while he was trying to save one of them. But then the old man also fell on Sept. 3rd - for some reason (mostly because I'm sleep deprived) - I thought she also went missing on Sept. 3rd.

So what am I missing? What did I get wrong?

That influencer falling in front of Shen Yi - yeeeeeeesh, woman, go do your dying elsewhere. It was in the trailer, he's already a bit shaken, what will this do to his mindset?

The older brother in the mountain's wig though is very disrupting LOL. And Du Cheng is probably missing his muscle car fiercely.

Where is the current missing girl, though? Might she still be alive after more than a week?!

This is so frustrating - we're 6 deep and already at almost a quarter of the drama gone?! The speed is insane. I am not ready to prepare for the eventual ending...

He didn't draw HER inner demon, he drew his own inner demon - and since it's kind of a generic demon, they each saw what they wanted in it.

I just hope it won't be a down spiral with his obssession this time, because he can get way too involved and lose himself... and I really hope it doesn't happen.

Du Cheng and muscle cars is something way too much like Du Cheng to ever be removed. (Just as with Shen Yi and falling asleep in cars whenever the engine starts, LOL).

I bet he is. He knew exactly who he was talking to and starting the slow persuasion game.

I also bet he's the one who slashed the painting at the end of season 1 and we'll probably learn he's some painter who got obssessed with Shen Yi or something.

... I just don't want Shen Yi to fall for it, it looks like this season he'll move a bit over the line into psychological profiling LOL and that could be a deadly trap...

I DON'T WANT SHEN YI TO FEEL SOME PULL FROM THE DARK SIDE DAMMIT!!!!

No, he's a genius, that doesn't mean he should try being on the criminal side of the law, shut up you freaking mysterious villain! (Also the villain doesn't need to be handsome, just sayin').

Shen Yi was already traumatised with the lady he couldn't remember from the murder he helped take place, why are we re-traumatising him this time with kids he could have saved but just missed a chance? Du Cheng was there too, he could take the blame is blame needs to be assigned.

Why is Du Cheng so quiet so far? He used to be a firebrand, now he's looking a lot more introspective and hey, a bit wary around Shen Yi - WHAT THE HELL IS THIS DRAMA SUGGESTING?!! I don't want to see a villain Shen Yi and if that happens I'm booking a trip to China to discuss some things with the script writer. Politely.

PS First ep: Du Cheng running after the good boy until the good boy decided to just lay down and wait for him was making me ROFLMAO. And then when Du Cheng started running again, the doggo wanted to follow too, LOL, poor owner :D

Overall, a pretty strong start.

I already don't like the main hidden villain of the season, even if he was in for like, one minute flat, LOL. DON'T GO THERE SHOW, do you hear me?!

I don't even care, LOL, Shen Yi has Du Cheng calling out in frustration "Where's Shen Yi?!!!" as his wake up call.

PS Also based only on the first episode, this season we're getting colour paintings instead of charcoal drawings :D

PPS But seriously, did Shen Yi RECORD Du Cheng yelling after him? :D

So, Kan is taller than Tew, LOL. That is what was on my mind whenever they were together :D

Finally a good ED song for a Thai drama. I think I quite like this one.

And hey... I didn't really expect it would keep together so well - I hope they adapted a good story and it lands properly. So far, so very good.
