She's not a goddess yet, they need to merge the two halves into one and give it to her and then she'll maybe get her own actual power. The first one failed because she was already ill with the plague (and also had only half of the token), we don't know how the last one failed, yet. I think it has a whole lot to do with ZY's guilt (because he looks like he's doing a massive self-blaming thing all on his own).

Pei SiJing is a spy oh NO!!!! I still hope she's a double spy and eventually will side with the team... And what, her puppet-bro now can come keep her company from time to time?... I guess it's a bit of a comfort after all.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE BLADE(s) WERE MADE OUT OF THE LONG YING's LORD HORNS?! NO!!!! (Also, dragon confirmed if that's the case). Why are there two blades and where's the other one?

Are they going to tell us the masked guy is maybe another one of ZYC's clan?! Could it be his own older brother?!

And this new Chaos demoness, what's her problem? Is she a relative of the other blonde Chaos Demon that made the Baize Goddess ill with his plague?! She's demonising ZYC with her injections, GIRL WE'RE GOING TO HAVE WORDS!!!

Ah I should've waited to binge this, what am I doing to myself, LOL. If they decide to go to one ep per day in the middle of airing (because iQiYi) I don't know what'll happen :D

The plot thickens and I find it disturbing they're laying low with the comedy moments... is this a sign we're going in for the serious pain?

But wait, Li Lun getting so close to Ying Lei means he'll try to make him touch his leaves... so to speak? I don't want him made into a puppet!! T_T

I was willing to bet Pei SiJing's brother will turn out to have a tragic story. And he's right, even if he offered the price willingly, and probably meant to pay it himself... he's still guilty for all the murders his puppet comitted.

WHAT is the background story between the original Baize Goddess and Cheng Huang?! Isn't Zhu Yan this generation's strongest bad-ass demon lord?! If the Baize Goddess gets to change avatars, why not the demonic power over the KunLun Gate, too?! I vote to give Zhu Yan the power over it. He won't misuse it. Maybe. Hopefully. Anyway, he's pretty, who cares if he brings down the apocalypse?

The demons should form the Club of Handsome Gentlemen. (Where are the demonesses though?) There's not even one of them, not even the budding little demons, who isn't a gorgeous creature... They should sell tickets to visit the Wilderness, just sayin'.

I don't think so. I THINK that there's something mysterious hinted in the Zhuo bro's discussion and maybe Zhuo YiChen is a bit special, maybe he's not really completely human. Zhu Yan told him he could do a water trick instead and even taught him how to do it, to activate the powers of the sword. Maybe there's a bit of a water demon's blood in Zhuo YiChen's blood?

But Zhu Yan using his own blood to activate the sword might damage HIM. I mean, he's a demon and that's a demon-destroying sword. It can't be healthy. And then he gets stabbed with it, too... *sigh* Demons have it hard in that world.

"I don't care if you're human or demon, you're my path and my destination".

She was supposed to be the next avatar, but her Goddess Seal only moved half to her (the other half is elsewhere). The previous one also died (which means the avatar died and the powers moved - or should've moved - to the next one.)

In truth, knowledge does progress a lot. These thousand-year old demons are just stuck in the past and can't comprehend how fast humans get things together. Also, fake it til you make it works in medicine too :D

After ep 6, I can't even with ZYC and his LED indicator demon sword LOL.

It's killing me that Li Lun seems to be the only one to actually care for ZY's (continuing) life, even more than ZY cares about it himself. Yes he's deranged and going about "waking" him up in mysterious and perverted ways, but in the end he just wants his best bro to realise humans aren't his kind and come back to the fold... While I also get really frustrated with how easily the humans get over how hurt ZY actually is - yes he's playing it for the crowd, LOL, and exaggerating a bit, but he DID get hurt, and they care for a bit until he does something ridiculous to move their attention elsewhere, and they fall for it every time, almost like they just want a reason to get over it...

ATP I am shipping ZY and Li Lun hard. One of them will probably die in the other's arms, and I am not even certain which one should do the dying right now, LOL.

PS So sad about the hot fish demon and his lady - they had great chemistry together, there could've been a whole drama just about them.

ETA Also... does anyone else think the music in the Zhuo brothers' dream discussion about being different sounds VERY much like it wouldn't be out of place in LotR the trilogy? A very Shire-ish theme :D, I got nostalgia just from it. (Not to mention that their styling and attitudes look SO Elvish :D)

I hit a slump after 4th, but once I got through the 6th it was a binge. Wow, this is one of the best Thai dramas I've ever watched!

So, now one sees them, the other can hear them... soon enough another will be able to touch them :D

I'm willing to bet ZYC does end up having to kill ZY (he made an oath and everything) and it's going to be heartbreaking because 1. it's supposed to end him forever and never let him get reborn and 2. by that time they'll probably be close friends and they'll have discovered that the rumours of ZY's evil doings were greatly exaggerated. Also, it'll probably end up that if ZY isn't killed at some precise time, the Baize seal will be lost forever and Wen Xiao dies because of it.

All the lead-up comedy moments that make them get closer are tricks to make us fall for the bromance of the millenium and then have them kill each other anyway because why not...

Wait wait wait... ZY gave ZYC some demon blood and now ZYC's eyes are going liquid silver just like any other demon's in that place, did ZY... deliberately infect him with demonic powers?!

That's going to be explosive, if true. At least, I hope it's not Li Lun just manipulating both of them because some tree leaf touched them sometime in their lives LOL.

So... Are ZY and LL branches off the same tree, so to speak? They said ZY was an ape and LL was a sacred wood (*snort*)... but I remember that strange painted wood mask ZY was wearing and wonder if LL has already tried (or maybe even succeeded) into making him his puppet?...

And now Ran Yi is being controlled by LL... he's doomed, poor handosome fish he is...

LOL, they were in the middle of being all heroic and s*it and Zhao Yan basically went "You serious?! Right in front of my salad?!" on them :D

And in the previous ep they were playing idioms, what, Wen means you're... and ZYC laughed at it (because he's stupid) and her FACE went radioactive. They both are going to find out soon enough LOL.

Under the Skin is getting a second one (not the xianxia split-in-the-middle kind LOL). NiF keeps getting more seasons (though not completely sequels). They also add seasons as prequels (like Dashing Youth for TBoY) and there's going to be an actual second season for TBoY itself, IIRC... And then there's the I Am Nobody second season.

They can make them, they just usually don't do it. 34 seems a bit short for such a drama, but what do I know, they might only get two or three cases and the main plot will be Zhu Yan vs. Li Lun and the world...

Soooo... Zhu Yan wants to die (seriously or jokingly) and the reason he gives Zhuo YiChen is that if he dies by that sword there won't be another demon reborn to gather the wrong energy - but isn't the curse that every demon lord in each generation will die and get reborn anyway?! Given his alternate name is the Lord Ying Long (and what is that, is he a monkey, errr, ape, or a dragon?!), is HE the one getting reborn over and over in order to suffer the gathering of Yin energy?! I guess ZYC didn't think about it so much yet.

The reason he gives Wen Xiao is that they need to get back the Baize Goddess seal, but... I have this impression HE needs to die in order for the seal to become material (like what if that ball that remains after a demon dies IS the actual seal they're trying to get, if they're getting it from him?)

Pei SiJing is cool, and Bai Ju is the cutest (his voice even breaks on girly screams, LOL, he's THE cutest!), but I've only had eyes for demons hahaha~ THEY are so amazingly handsome - even the guy in the water, wow. What about the nobody gets nekkid on Chinese dramas rule (even if they're web dramas)? If they can relax the rules, then we've been robbed time and time again in certain dramas LOL.

All the demons are so freaking beautiful, they should be the master race in that realm, LOL. Even the main villain is drop dead gorgeous.

After 3 eps, this looks like it needs a second season. Or more :D

We can always dream :D

DramaWiki says it's No Heart to Bear a Dream (无心生大梦) sung by LYN indeed. We'll see when they release the OST (the tracklist is already on DW) but I can't find any of them on YT, maybe they're not really out yet?...
