I meant long periods of time - but THAT too, OMG, THAT addds to the stress so much (and pain, too). I've been having trouble sleeping since a teen, and ANYthing can make it worse (heat most of all, but also stress, pain, work, even excitement...)

The worst is when you're so tired you can FEEL your eyes closing, and your head dropping and you're on the way and can't WAIT to put your head on the pillow - and then you do and you're wide-awake, eyes burning in your head, body heavy as hell and your brain deciding it's high time to go over all your past, present and future mistakes, everything you ever did wrong in your life, every cringy situation you've ever been in, every smart-ass comment you DIDN'T think of in time, every what-if about when things went horribly wrong...

I bet people who sleep regularly or easily have those moments too... But I have them basically every sleepless night. One learns to cope... But it's freaking tiring. And when you're a woman, too... dammit. Double whammy.

When was this filmed, actually? They got Zhang Ruo Yun added to the main roles almost as an afterthought, and Liu Duan Duan as a support chara - I guess this started or was filmed around 2019-2020?

You survived 4 days on no sleep?! OMG. You're lucky to be alive, TBH. I'm breaking down and turning into a monster on two days no sleep, and by the third, I'm a danger to myself and society. But those days are, helpfully, long in the past. Now I do get to sleep (at least 2-3 hours) in my worst times.

I'm glad you're better now - if you need medication, you NEED it, and trust the doctors. Chronic insomnia is a pretty bad ailment. Here's a hug, we'll get through each and every night (or day) as they come! Sleep will come, eventually :D

I have had long periods - like months at a time - when I'm functioning on 2-3 hours of sleep per day. I got used to the constant tiredness, the feeling of pressure, the lack of energy. I tried as hard as I could not to get addicted to energy drinks or anything sugary or any kind of medications (for making me sleep or for keeping me alert), because I seriously don't want to get addicted to anything...

Cold helps - whenever it's cold outside, I function better and also sleep a lot better. White noise also helps a lot - I've been falling asleep with YT 10 hour-long videos of hard rain or strong winds or winter storms sounds as a background (they keep playing for the whole time I'm sleeping). Cats help - if you get trapped in a nest of cats around you (and it's not too hot), you won't move - they're freaking sleeping pills.

But I still hate waking up the next morning and having to go to work or travelling (I don't hate work per se, or the destinations - just the obligation to get up if I don't feel like it, or want a day for myself). As I'm growing older, it gets really tiresome to do it and keep doing it for the years it'll take until I don't have to, any more.

It's been like this for basically 30 years for me, now (though I never slept well, as far as I can remember). It doesn't pass, psychologists can't help with it, medication is a bit dangerous, and the regular functioning people never understand the struggle. *sigh*

To anyone commenting on lack of consent... this is freaking yaoi-based, not rocket science or a statement on current social do-s or don't-s, these guys are not strangers to each other, even if they haven't met for a long time, one of them is bordeline depressive and about to breakdown from terminal insomnia (you tend to start hallucinating after some two-three days with no sleep, don't ask me how I know), and honestly, what Kai did to him to make him sleep WORKS (don't ask me how I know this, either, LOL). Lighten up a bit, not everything needs to be all-time, everytime completely PC and picture perfect from a Hallmark-level of reality POV.

I'd like to have a word with that supervisor, too - I mean, what the heck, man, is Hiro his victim of preference? The others all seem aware of it, nobody said anything yet - seems like they're starting to feel a bit courageous though - he's due some cutting down to size for what he's doing. Let's comment on THAT kind of abuse, shall we?

And what's Kai's problem? When they said his dad abandoned him, was it like - on the streets? Alone by himself but with shelter and food and a social network in place? Because if the former... that would cause PTSD. I wonder if that's why he's so quiet and efficient and non-assuming (except for declaring himself Hiro's fiance, LOL). Go get him, Kai!

...YeoWoon is 18 (or about to be). Don't you remember being a teen and in love for the first time? It's not rational at times.

He's the driver in the hostage rescue, the cute guy we thought was Honda - but Honda seems to be another character (different actors). That's why I thought he was Honda, actually, he was still close to come to JiAn's home if needed.

He killed himself, but was full of regrets in the end. So Death/Grim Reaper (that was NOT one of his Seniors) offered him a choice to fix his mistakes. But he offered it as if it was a game, with the stated mission of getting YeoWoon happy (that is the version of events MyungHa remembers while trying to "fix" things). He gets to remember the original deal when he deletes himself from the game, while trying to fix the errors. And then Death/Grim Reaper lets him choose again, this time informed - the original deal was to make MYUNGHA love himself while learning to love others.

Every time he'd change "reality", there would be server errors - first smaller ones, then continuos ones, because the changes were starting to create waves of more changes.

On second watch, it's pretty obvious the game is actually reality - it even says so when MyungHa saves YeoWoon - "reality has been changed."

It's a isekai/transmigration story. There are plenty of rebirth/second chances stories, TBH, LOL, but mostly in Japanese light novels or Chinese webnovels. If only the Chinese weren't so prone to censorship, we'd have dozens of danmei (BL) transmigration dramas, LOL.

I just noticed the time set for each episode - no wonder it looks too long.

Both aired episodes are about one hour long, with some OP/ED, so barely that. As for 16 eps, that's the regular number of eps for a kdrama.

Worth watching? Well... we'll have to see. Too early to tell. There's eyecandy though.

The SE is more streamlined for the bromance/romantic plot but the episodes are a bit longer, so not much is really lost from the original. There are very few (a bit longer) scenes and the ending scenes are arranged differently.

And that's about it. I'd recommend the original version for a first watch,

Skimming through with no subs, it looks like Guardian-level, maybe a bit drier (probably to give it a better chance to pass censorship.) Looks like solid bromance, at least, and there's some hand holding in some places. Without context/dialogue, it's hard to say if it's romantic or utilitarian LOL.
