As for how did the dad know - how did he find KiHo the first time around (in that flashback of WooHak's)? I think he knew KiHo used to go there and wait for her, so he decided to wait for her there and take her away to interrogate her on where KiHo is now or even take her away to lure KiHo to her help later on (IMHO he's totally mad by now). Also, he could just have followed her and saw where she went (if he didn't know about the station meeting place) so he'd have a place to leave some messages for KiHo when he had MokHa.

I knew KBG would end up being JKH once he put everything together in the prep for the show. But I've grown to like him again - I mean, JKH wasn't exactly the most popular student in the class either, what with his secretive ways... and he's kept the same personality.
What happened - I think - is that Abusive Dad Cop found them once before, after KiHo ran away, and attacked WooHak in order to find out where KiHo was. And that voice WooHak is remembering is actually coming from KiHo, who probably was close by at the time. It would make sense KiHo didn't want to come out, since he's still trying to protect his family from MurderDadTM. And he's probably still loaded with guilt from losing MokHa once despite all the hasty planning.
I'm so ANGRY at LSJ - he's a poisonous fruit alright. But I was mad at RanJoo too - she knew what he was, it couldn't be he'd have a change of heart ten years later, and she still went there. I hope they definitely manage to take the whole agency from him... and that the voice-syncing doesn't get exposed by plan or mistake.

The novel isn't NSFW until the very last scene. I haven't read the manhua, since it's not done yet (I think). I did watch the donghua, read the novel and listened to the audio drama, LOL (they do sound effects hahaha). So I couldn't say how much the manhua goes by the novel. If it's accurate, you'd be safe from any spiciness (well, considering this IS WWX we're talking about... there will be some spice. For example, in the novel, he doesn't quietly and tenderly go with LWJ to Cloud Recesses once they meet again after the resurrection - LWJ has to drag him away by force, him AND the donkey, LOL, while WWX is protesting all the way, VERY loudly, LOL. And yet at the same time, LXC comments on how LWJ is so obviously happy with dragging this loud-mouthed stranger into his home. And then there are all the instances WWX tries to make LWJ disgusted by being extra gay and even clamouring to sleep in the same bed with him... on top oh him even. At which LWJ decides to take him up on his word LOL. Come to think of it, there are plenty of spicy moments in the novel. Again, not sure how it translates into the manhua).
The EXTRAS are NSFW though, LOL. But that's the norm in danmei.

Obviously WWX is everyone's favourite, but novel LWJ is definitely his equal. And the extras to the novel tell you so much more of LWJ's obsession with this quicksilver spirit that is WWX - it's so worth it. You should read it - for science :D

I wonder what the dad's deal is. Is he trying to find KiHo to punish him for exposing who he was? Or is he really trying to make ammends? I tend to think he's looking for revenge, but I am ready to be pleasantly surprised. I wonder what would happen if he not only sees the brothers, but the mother, too. Is this KiHo's true family, or did they just adopt him? If she's his real mother, then the dad would probably recognize her, too...

The first three eps were cute... but after the first long break, the 4th ep landed kind of flat, and now I'm beginning to wonder how the 5th will even relate to the first four. It's not that engaging in the first place, and if they keep breaking the flow it doesn't bode well for the rest of the series. I mean, one could tired of just waiting for sparkly bishounen moments LOL.

KBG would go on island cleanup maybe because JKH is so deeply marked from losing SMH on a boat he sent her off on. Doing it in his place, sort of, maybe trying to give him closure were he to find the remains of the girl he supposedly sent to her death?

If WooHak lost his memories because of the trauma and/or some more physical assault later on, and now he's starting to remember little things, then maybe the whole family made a wall around him to protect him from the world - giving him space to cling closely to KBG, aknowledging him always as part of the family (he'd be a stepson to the father and a stepbrother to KBG), indulging basically his every strange whim... IMHO, they're definitely NOT giving KBG the same treatment, and I think at least the mom would, if she got him back after such a bad teen period.
I still think WooHak is KiHo (maybe), but yeah, it depends on what the writer wants - some later on shock factor, or some smooth flow of the romance part. So far, I'm really enjoying the music, LOL, and I wonder if we'll get some Pygmalion moments :D

Maybe he was in an accident OR his father caught up and assaulted him, giving him amnesia. And maybe a changed personality, since he doesn't remember why he has to be so careful all the time and why he's was so fenced off as a kid. Maybe that's why BoGeul and all his family lets him get away with pretty much everything, and why he gets so clingy to his younger brother.
It would totally be a waste if KiHo isn't WooHak (I'd rather have BoGeul fall for someone else, LOL, he's cool and all but WooHak found her and he's the one with the memory loss, it makes sense he'd be the one...)

I just finished this series and oh my goodness this was fantastic. I have some issues with it mainly the ending…
1. The first scene of the drama (the man hanging on and then falling off) is the grandpa when he's younger and trying to make the killer confess. When he's attacked and put into a hospital he decides he won't help obsessions any more, so the Ink Lady keeps trying to convince him throughout the rest of his life, unsuccessfully. That first scene is revisited and expanded in the last episode, as prelude for YiYong's own fall.
2. Grandpa chose to let go of life and die - Ink Lady had him decide on his own after keeping him alive in a coma for two years, because that's YiYong's wish toward her.
3. That comic is about both their school lives - YiYong is the MC and GuangYuan is another character in it, LOL. YY's half-drawn chara is what makes GY realize he's the manhua creator :)
4. We all want a second season, this was an amazing drama, and it totally deserves a sequel!! :D
This is freaking hilarious. I only saw Rowoon in Tomorrow, and he was good, but he's better here, LOL. He has amazing comedic timing, and so does his FL and OMG, so does the King. The King is a total hoot!! :D Even the manservant and the donkey find their moments, LOL. I needed a good laugh drama this fall :)
I have given up on MDL and its ratings - people seem to come for idols or faves and stay with it or drop it because it doesn't appear as they expected it - well, I had no expectations, because I didn't feel like watching a sageuk rom-com, but TBH, this is probably the one drama I'll be keeping closely up with.
For people wondering if they should start this: it's a sageuk rom-com with the main pairing between a widower incel who is so frustrated with his situation he gets mini heart attacks whenever he's witnessing PDAs, LOL, and a woman who is also a widow but can't help herself matchmaking other people into forever happiness just because. And they get a shared mission to marry off three spinsters so that the king can then marry off his son and heir LOL - and it's hard because the spinsters have ideas of their own, there are two political parties who get involved into NOT letting the heir marry, and then there's the fact that JungWoo (the incel) is about to find love himself... which is not that happy moment you'd think it was.
Generally it was okay (particularly the multiple KWB part(s)), though IMHO it would have greatly benefitted from getting an actual ending. I guess the second part will cover that.
Meguro Ren is amazing with the white long hair, but the romance was totally tropey. Which is not to say it would…
I guess the episodic feeling of the story is due to the way the novels were written - I mean, the overreaching arc is about the insects (nobody took the time to explain what they actually are and how they do get rid of them actually and if any other part of the world is afflicted with them etc), but then you have the guy who tells her she's poisoning him one day then eating it all up the next day and in a matter of days (minutes in the movie) the whole gifted squad is eating her food. But at the same time she's still the scaredy cat who gets PTSD attacks when meeting her half-sister randomly on the street.
And to mention the sister - I mean, okay, I can SEE why she'd totally be smitten with him from one look, but SHE wasn't locked up in her house for her whole life, and Kiyoka is the most-talked about unwed man around... she never, ever heard he's good looking?! Yeah right. That kidnapping plot was a rock in a puddle, LOL, what with the males of the family trying to take him out for reasons (maybe have a shotgun wedding or something, LOL?)
That Arata was family was obvious, he telegraphed it from his first appearance (his whole demeanor is screaming "I'm a bad guy, but maybe I could be on your side".) I'd rather have some more Gifted squad guys instead of him.
And I really, really like the young Emperor - going by the usual trend, he'll probably end up totally corrupted in the end of the series and probably Kiyoka will have to take him out or something, LOL.
...I guess I'll check out the anime and see if it goes the way I think it goes, LOL.
Edit: well... upon checking the anime NF trailer, I guess I'll stay with the movie and that'll be it, LOL.
