They're not officially divorced yet (by ep2) but she's determined to end it because he's a serial cheater. (And he seems to believe she's supposed to be a SAHW and have no actual ambitions, and accept her best times have passed - she's at most mid-30s and a professional. He's an idiot IMHO).

Though these two (and presumably more) are adults and there's no hysterics over it (at least not so far). Spouses also have a joint company so I guess the ex will be around for a while, if not for the whole series.

But it sure looks like a pretty nice, sleek, modern drama with no overtones of overacted romance (none so far, again). Dive in :D

(ep2) I declare myself a fan of wingman bro Song LOL. The way they worked yogether to put the fear of the powers that be in that intern (who has a BEAUTIFUL smokey voice, if I may say so) - masterclass. LOL, Song called him "cruel". Who, that cute little fluffy puppy? I didn't see the resemblance LOL.

This drama gets better and better :D

So I just watched the first ep and it looks pretty interesting and slow (I like slow, and I like non-stylized costume dramas). But then I come here to see how the trailer looks and it's scored by a sad BGM OST of Nirvana in Fire? What, does it mean it's supposed to end sadly? Can anyone please spoil me on this, please?

That poor final cra~~~, sadly, OMG, that was still hilarios. So was Mu BingHe closing the windows because he suddenly started getting a little hot hahaha.

Looks like a clean through-and-through comedy. Don't expect MLC levels of wuxia, LOL, though there's some pretense game going on strongly. (Based only on the first ep. I liked it, it's funny :D)

Don't bother with the ratings - 1. it's a Chinese drama, they always have to fight harder on MDL for better ratings than the SK dramas. 2. There are people who set ratings from the beginning depending on who is acting - fans will rate it higher, anti-fans will try to destroy it. and 3. Nobody had a chance to actually watch it all, so any new ratings are meaningless.

It's even worse with well-known actors, LOL, particularly if there are any other dramas that compete for the same time slots in the original country.

So, anyway, don't bother with the ratings on (any) cdramas and just enjoy the ride.

The whole sect is amazingly in sync to make her believe - and keep her believing - she's some kungfu master, LOL. Poor girl. When she finds out she'll take a real beating. Unless Jiang BuTing helps her along.

The most ROLFMAO moment for me was the two of them - Ge and Di, LOL - hearing someone cry out "somebody dropped [it]", immediately going in a trance imagining it's some money pouch and launching off into the road to get it (it was her, LOL), that was... beyond amazing. And immediately after they'd decided they won't be swayed by money any more. These two are so good together :D

The first episode is hilarious. I don't know if they can keep it up for the whole series, but it was a great beginning. I wonder if the novel is as funny as the drama :D

iQiYi has it on their YT official channel (put subs on). From someone who watched it and loved it - it's very much worth it and definitely not the usual same-old, same-old costume drama. Masterfully acted, great characters, very interesting story and don't hate the lawyer on sight. We learned better LOL.

It's the eyes and the eyelashes... LYX has great eyes, they don't need any beautification. He looks perfect.

It got so far from the webtoon already it's a parallel story IMHO. But they still have two eps to save it... a bit.

LWJ: I want to take someone back to Cloud Recesses... Take him back and hide him away.

Later on, LXC telling WWX the backstory on THAT. Yup. That was a killer. And then the extras to the novel, LOL, where we learn it was NEVER a platonic love for LWJ, not even when WWX was just pranking LWJ with ancient Chinese porn books.

That kind of longing, going through life and death. That kind of hope.

Yes, an unforgettable story.

One of them even told HaNa to make him remember his actions as a Counter, and she says it won't work because those specific two memories were erased... then she reminds him about a few times when he acted as a Counter and he not only remembers, his original contract with WiGen is remade (somehow) and they both are okay, no problems, nothing.

Like... WTH?!

I thought him losing his powers was the best thing that could happen to shake the season up a bit... but definitely not as they made use of it. Disappointing.

No character development, basically (it all happened in S1). The new Counter is a nose (not a joke) - he's just comic relief mostly. The villains look cool and that's about it.

The fighting scenes are good, though.

Switching from the cool villain to the second-rate ultimate villain (that will be defeated anyway).

I STILL don't care about MJS, I'd rather have had HPG doing the incoming fights and evil things etc.

This season... I've watched it for the fighting scenes and that's all. Everything else doesn't click...
