I'll never understand how, in dramas like this, the plan is never to destroy the world ending object. Instead…
They never can destroy it because there are ALWAYS work-arounds. If they destroy one access key, there would suddenly be some master-mechanical genius who just figures out how it was put together or something and THEN it gets opened anyway. Or something.
And well... it's the "why didn't they fly the Eagles to Mordor" approach. We wouldn't have the story - any of it - if it worked like that, LOL.
Now I have to read the ending of the novel to see if LXY actually survives or not, because that beach scene, while…
In the novel, FDB ends up married to the princess, the one sent to fight DFS in place of LLH (after he breaks his sword) is ZiJin - who seems to be a lot more important than in the drama, and after the missed fighting date on the beach, FDB sends hundreds of people to look for LLH along the beaches and rivers.
When they eventually find him, he is already disabled - almost blind, useless right hand and his memories mostly gone. He can't remember FDB, who is caring for him anyway, and from time to time he gets to play weiqi with DFS, but he also doesn't remember who he is.
So, better imagine he either died - as in the implied ending of the drama, or they did find him but he was basically okay, as is implied in the extra. The novel's ending is way too sad (maybe the MTL f**ed things up, but it seems pretty clear anyway, so I don't think it's something lost in translation...)
The last eps (not in VIP) come out from Wednesday, if I'm not wrong. They will be released normally, just that…
I mistyped it, LOL, should be LYST. It's Love You Seven Times, with Ding Yu Xi (he was in Romance of Tiger and Rose). It released on August 10th, and MLC fast-tracked the last eps on August 9th, so that they don't overlap (iQiYi is releasing both of them).
It's a summer for wuxia and xianxia, that's for sure, lots of long-awaited dramas are coming out of the woodwork.
... not 2ha though T_T because life is hard. *sigh*
The last eps (not in VIP) come out from Wednesday, if I'm not wrong. They will be released normally, just that…
Err, according to the release schedule, normal-VIP (not fast-track) 35-36 and so on are coming from Monday, two days earlier than I thought. So that's good news, right? :D
Now I have to read the ending of the novel to see if LXY actually survives or not, because that beach scene, while…
I've watched the extra. It's left unclear on purpose though - DFS and FDB are not shown in the same frame on that beach together with LLH and it's implied he WAS there some time ago and now is no more.
BUT the dog is looking happily up at SOMEONE (not one of the two, IMHO).
On the other hand... the beggar did say he took the candy from a body. So it's all up for interpretation and I'm gonna go read the MTL ending to see what's up, LOL.
wanna ask, why in iQIYI we need to pay to upgrade from VIP to Exclusive just to watch ep 35-40?so, we can't watch…
The last eps (not in VIP) come out from Wednesday, if I'm not wrong. They will be released normally, just that they fast-tracked it for who wanted to see them sooner because LYST was releasing the next day, as I've heard it, and they didn't want the competition.
I'm still amazed by FDB's behaviour towards his bio father.Even tho his father the mastermind behind bad things,…
Respect toward elders - and particularly family - was THE social norm in Ancient China. Him not paying respect toward SGD would have been the problem, were it the case.
Actually, not just elders of the family had to be respected, masters or teachers HAD to get the same respect from their apprentices/students.
"A teacher for a day, a father for a lifetime" they used to say. Things are changing in modern society, but elders being important is still observed.
So LLH is alive after 3 months but the poison is remain because he's wearing fur cloak. I like the ending. With…
Still unclear though. They all went to that beach, but it might have been at different times. The only ALMOST certain clue that they are together there at the same time is Fox Spirit's attention to SOMEONE who can only be LLH.
Then again, the beggar said he found the candy on a body.
So in fact... it's a choose-your-own-ending kind of end.
The most important thing you have to take from this is that LI XIANGYI CARRIED DI FEISHENG TO THE BRIDAL CHAMBER.…
Now I have to read the ending of the novel to see if LXY actually survives or not, because that beach scene, while lovely - I mean, both his boyfriends came to get him back! - is not clear enough. I tend to think he'd survive but we'll see.
I was going to BET he had to give the Styx Flower to the Emperor because there was no other way for everybody (and their dog) to get out of the situation. No matter how benevolent the Emperor would be, he couldn't afford to let anyone live who knew his secret, unless he had a tight leash on them, or they're dying anyway.
I still fear for FDB at this time, for that reason, too. His marriage to the princess won't ever happen anyway, and the Emperor might just want to wait a bit before making a move. Good thing FDB isn't a pushover.
Ah, Daddy Di! His obsession with having a fight with LXY anyway turned out so cute in the end. No, he won't take a replacement, not even FDB. That's true love right there. I guess he'll have to console himself with beating everyone else's asses instead.
Ahh, this was soooo good. Any chances for a second season? Can we, please, pretty please with a cherry on top? I won't even care if the mysteries turn out to be boring. Let's get the fantastic trio back, shall we!!
The most important thing you have to take from this is that LI XIANGYI CARRIED DI FEISHENG TO THE BRIDAL CHAMBER. On his back. No, I won't need any explanations for this. It's self-explanatory LOL.
Also, F**K that special extra. Do it wholeheartedly or not at all.
That being said, I loved this. And most of all, all hail Fox Spirit. That HAS to be the most happy dog on set I've ever watched in any Chinese drama, LOL.
Hello! I have a question for those who watched the untamed!! I attempted to watch this a year ago but the first…
TU isn't wuxia, it's xianxia (that means there will be some supernatural/paranormal things in it, other than the fighting.)
There are two big parts with different timelines. The present timeline starts in epsidoes 1-2 and then goes on from episode 33 to the end. The past timeline is presented in episodes 3-33. Which is to say, don't worry if you think they're going off on a tangent or if you don't really understand what's going on in the first two eps, that will be revisited once the past is explained (the past timeline shows you what happened to get them to that original, present, storyline).
This is also as epic as can be. You don't need another entry point into Chinese costume dramas, this one's basically perfect for it. I hope you'll fall in love with it as most of us did, too :D
As for the main points of the story - it's a good vs evil, conscience vs reputation, sacrifice vs personal gain tale. Give it a bit of time to get going - there will be some setting up before it gets very serious. I'd say around eps 15-17 it turns for most viewers that weren't caught in it from the very beginning - but pay attention because there are some hints that are pretty important even if they don't seem like it, LOL.
This is my favourite (fan-made) trailer of it (subs on) for a look-see - no spoilers:
For a super-power themed drama, the first episode is so damn bland. I have no strong impression of any of the characters, I didn't notice any OST, there were no FX (much, so far), and I am not certain I actually want to continue it.
He's catching on though, the last two times LLH tricked him he was back in an instant, even confronting him about…
The first time was when LLH sent FDB to get "medicine" from his wagon, so that LLH could hot-foot it out of there (and FDB came back immediately).
The second time was when he tried to tell him his Shifu's wife was away on some looooong, long journey and won't be back and they could come back some other time (maybe in his next life, LOL). And then FDB caught on immediately - the house was un-lived in, nobody was not home because they lived elsewhere, it was the usual LLH Jedi mind-trick to get out of a situation he doesn't want to be in. LLH looked at FDB when he figured it out like he was sighing in his mind, LOL.
And well... it's the "why didn't they fly the Eagles to Mordor" approach. We wouldn't have the story - any of it - if it worked like that, LOL.

Like a colour-blind person - they do see the colours, but can't identify them.
Trust him, he does love her. They'll find a way to communicate.

Enjoy!
Also, damn, Cheng Yi can emote like nobody's business. I felt for LLH all throughout that fight. I hope SGD drops dead.
Edit Now I have to avoid this page til the rest of it is TLed and aired. Dammit.
