So many things to say this ep...But seriously, does General Zhou the father want to become the most useless villain…
WTF is General Zhou's problem? And particularly with Ye. I mean, the older (unnamed) son realizes YouZhou is important, and Commissioner Fan also does, but G-ral Zhou is like, "oh well, nothing we can do about it, moving on, hey cuz Fan, maybe you wannabe the next Emp, whaddayasay?"
I seriously hope he gets a much improved attitude or dies soonest.
When Zhou Ye left the city to GJS though... I get it, it's fiction everything, and it doesn't even matter if he wins and the siege fails BUT what the heck is Ye thinking?! I mean, GJS didn't set out to buy himself a provincial capital, did he? Why leave him in charge of the ARMY, I bet there's anywhere between 1 and 100 people AT LEAST that have a better military knowledge and experience to lead the soldiers. GJS has new ideas and so far (one day or two) he managed to keep the city and all, but when the push will come to shove, he doesn't have any miliary experience. AT ALL. Being good at martial arts doesn't mean he can always make a smart choice and win.
Ah whatever. Anyway, looks like Mr. Zhao the other traitor is being left out by that idiot who got old and never learned anything in his life, so there's someone to go open a gate or inform the enemy that there are just a few thousand soldiers in the city and they could take it in one big push. We'll have to see how that one gets solved.
And all hail people who actually aren't bent on doing good for good's sake forever. LYR's mom finally got a spine. I guess it took being left for dead in order for that to happen.
Now we only just need dad to come back from the dead,...
But seriously, does General Zhou the father want to become the most useless villain at this time? If so, I foresee a quick and heroic exit on the left of the stage (probably pursued by a bear).
And highlights:
Traitor uncle Liang: And who the farc are YOU?! GJS: I'm your very distant grandfather!!
I LOLed at that. I mean, that's such a Chinese insult hahaha. Though they usually stick with "I'm your father". When Star Wars came to China they must've been SO mystified LOL.
Also GJS saying (the equivalent of): I FART IN YOUR GENERAL DIRECTION! YOUR FATHER WAS A HAMSTER AND YOUR MOTHER SMELT OF ELDERBERRIES. Just because they want to make the other army snap hehe.
How on Earth did such a wimpy traitor come to betray the emperor though? Did he start with a much larger bag of courage and it got spilled on the way to WangDu?
I don’t even know how she became his sworn sister; just because he said so? That part was confusing. But man…
He's pretty assertive, LOL, he took her as his sworn sister whether she even knew about it or not (I was actually laughing when he called GJS "brother-in-law" hahaha!)
Ep2... Definitely time traveler. Why does this drama have 80% of the ep with no BGM? I find it a good change from…
So, based on the preview for next eps, he's from around 27 years back - supported by use of the cassette player, the diskettes (OMG has it only been 27 years?! I would have sworn there were no more of those since at least 30 years back...) and the way the novel pages were tied together.
No wonder he has no idea about modern phones yet. Great detail he DOES remember the tools of his own time.
I sure hope the ending isn't sending him back to his own time, particularly if he becomes a part of this time's motley crew LOL.
Are they saying the lightning strike is the reason for the telepathy and telekinesis, though? And why would his eyes change colour? What is that rock - looked like a meteor of some kind - is this guy an amnesiac Superman who just got pushed forward through time?
I'd love to say I like it more than I do, but it's moving a bit hiccupy yet, what with the serial salvations of random people (I could live with less of those) and the mysterious pocky-handed man who how the hell did he find where DongJoo is staying?
What I LOVE about it though, is how DongJoo got so IMMEDIATELY focused on playing with the superpowers LOL. That's such a nerdy writer thing to do. ....I'd do the same and I'm not even a writer hahaha.
Not a bad start. Let's hope it moves a bit better from next week.
Why does this drama have 80% of the ep with no BGM? I find it a good change from the usual, but pretty unexpected. And the cinematographer likes to play with angles and different spaces for shots, LOL.
First ep - what, is he an alien or a time traveler?!
Also, I was hoping against hope DongJoo wouldn't do that... but he had to, right, if there was going to be the start of any debt-relationship or something.
I like it so far. I'm not certain if it'll turn out to be supernatural or sci-fi, but it looks good so far. Hopefully they pull off a good story.
I saw the actor in the cast list, but I have yet to arrive at his grand entrance. 🤣🤣🤣
He's in love with the idea of this badass heroine he only heard about while at the same time proposing to every pretty girl that catches his eye because he KNOWS he's handsome, he has a mirror, LOL.
This chara is going to the dumbest sidekick ever if he has more than a guest role :D If he sticks around GJS, Mu Nan is going to have some competitors LOL.
TBH I feel like they wasted 1.5 eps on a very cartoonish villain and didn't advance the plot at all. And it only picked up (pretty clumsily) in the later half of the second ep. I guess there's going to be some politicking from now on, and I hope the script gets a bit tighter.
Are these guys ever going to give Mme Gu a grandbaby? Just saying it's past time they decided to take the leap LOL.
Another occurence of cultural appropriation issue? Persian guy invented the distillation technique so every country…
My country's Bronze Age history already shows wine made from grapes some 2500 years back. They were pretty famous for their wines (enough so that it was considered an objective for plunder whenever we got our asses kicked by invaders). We're not claiming distilled medicinal alcohol, but we did have distilled wines around some 1500-2000 years ago (they were a speciality for exports, locals liked new wines LOL). They used to have bigger vineyards than grain fields in some areas hahaha. We were kind of the recognized drunkards of the time, though not for long - in the Iron Age and later in the more and more civilised times, the Poles grabbed the stick and ran with it (honey mead and the original wine-distilled vodkas that aren't seriously vodka, more like brandy :D) then the Russians found Buddha (read: vodka) and it's all history from there, I don't know who has the title now, but we're not in the running any more LOL.
Edited to add: basically anything that has some sugar in it and will allow fermentation ends up producing alcohol in some measure. If there were rotting fruits in the time of the dinosaurs (there weren't, there were no actual fruit-producing trees then AFAIK, but just sayin'), dinos would be walking around drunk on them. I'd bet you a million if I had it that Lucy's kind (Australopithecus Afarensis) were getting drunk on fallen and rotting fruit that was producing alcohol through fermentation, some millions+ years ago in Africa.
It's made from fermentation of corn, wheat, potatoes, grapes, apples, any kind of sweet fruit actually (not sure about tomatoes, but I bet someone did try LOL) and even honey. It's everywhere. What is different is the distillation method, but we've been in so many places throughout our history, I bet some methods were found, lost and then found again numerous times...
PS I might be drunk while writing this LOL
ETA2 the HECK! There IS a tomato wine LOL. People are inventive.
Soulmates. And it's a key to ending the remembering of past lives.
I don't think it was anything instantaneous, because neither felt any "deeper" immediate connection... But it's being soulmates that solves the remembering of past lives. It seems to take a while before both realise it, anyway.
Hi guys , anyone has a idea who is the mysterious guy that Ban Ji Eum crosses in the street and both stopped like…
He's a friend from a past life. He knows about the curse of remembering lives - he does too - and has an idea how to end it. He means well, but sometimes he gets it wrong. He's not dangerous to her (not intentionally).
First variant. She was waiting for SeoHa, who knew she was waiting there and sent DoYoon with the umbrella. So…
@Darudius meant the initial meeting, when ChoWon is a middle-schooler and is waiting by SeoHa's highschool to talk to him. She already told JiEum on their drinking binge that she fell for someone at first sight and it was special etc, and when she told more details JiEum realizes it's about DoYoon, not SeoHa. And later we're shown how they actually met the first time.
I'm still pimping for Oh No! Here Comes Trouble - short, sweet, great acting, great story and pace, to the point.…
LOL, it was FOREVER ago (I played it in university days and still like it. As I said, I can't see in 3D when it's game maps - well, I only could in PangYa but of course they took that offline too. HoMM3 is only 2D, much easier for my eyes and attention to details hahaha.)
I think it's a 25 year old game, LOL... OMG I got old. When did this happen? O.o
When cho won was waiting in the rain was she waiting for the ML but he didn’t want to see her so gave the secretary…
First variant. She was waiting for SeoHa, who knew she was waiting there and sent DoYoon with the umbrella. So the second Yoon sister saw DoYoon and immediately fell for him.
I seriously hope he gets a much improved attitude or dies soonest.

Must run in the family, LOL.
