I really need to vent about this drama, it's been on my mind for too long so here it goes my review (for now ~ep3)…
There are only 12 eps. They have to be fast. I hear the webtoon isn't short either so I guess there's a lot to include if they want to be as faithful to it as possible.
Exactly how sad is this? It already seems to make everyone bawl like a baby. Is it really that good/hitting all…
It's not a bad pain. It's something about reminiscing on times past, and remembering lost friends, and lost families, and some melancholy on what would never come again. And yes, it's tear-inducing at times.
But the soul of the story isn't in creating misery for the viewer. So in short, yes, it's that good, and yes, it hits all the right spots.
This man is always acting as the emperor and he's never a good one
I KNOW!!!! Not like in he's a bad actor, but he never plays GOOD emperors, LOL. When he's in and he's an emperor, I already get bad vibes. Poor Ding YongDai, he's been typecast and won't break from it...
It seems to me that the FL is completely healed and the main couple love each other. What's with sleeping in the…
They moved from complete strangers to best friends. That still isn't married life love level - but they're both romantically involved now. It just takes a bit to get over the hardships they've endured (mother says she's been waiting for them for three months, they took as much to come to YouZhou. You don't get over something like that easily.)
Also, the whole household is still grieving for those who didn't make it. It's not really inducive to bunny love, LOL.
She he doesn't cheat on her?i am not watching it because of synopsis, if he is loyal to her and he is bad or rude…
He doesn't hate studying either, and is good at it, he just hated being compared with ShiAn who seemed better, because he worked harder, LOL. Everything about JiuSi was perceived wrong by the public.
Is it normal to get all these couple shot on magazines cover when they have only air 3 episodes😆😆 n all…
LJH is a much better actor than what's shown in this fluff story. But there's a need for hype because you can SEE how much money they put into this (just going by the filming locations and accestories) and they need to make a smash to recoup that.
So you'll be seeing a lot more promos all around (including on MDL - they too seem to have fallen into the hype-hype-hype thing, and it's been some while already). Even if there's just fluff and not much substance, there'll still be hype over everything and anything.
Did you really just say only 1.88m ? For asian guy ?
Well, why not? Koreans are pretty tall compared to - let's say, Japanese people (and I'm referring strictly to the actors, idols, etc). And what I meant isn't that he's the Hulk, but that all the other people around him seem very small, particularly in scenes where they're next to him.
She didn’t have any interest going with him. She only went as his chauffeur because she wanted to get paid (since…
Have you ever listened to whatever latest conspiracy circulates from taxi, Uber, rent-a-car, designated, on-call drivers you never met before?
Because I sure did. She got paid to drive him, she didn't care about his crazy ideas because she hadn't seen the shadow yet. And this is horror - I mean. ALL the horror movies start with idiots running in the haunted house LOL.
I don't believe jt is the Shaman, why do I think the ghost is a young lady, the voice and the shadow indicate…
The shaman killed the girl (she was hiding under that blanket) and her blood splattered on the hair accessory. Maybe the spirit then infected the shaman but the hair thing is still her first place to hide.
Her 18th life must have been really special to her family wise and also because of Seoha..but I also believe she…
She already mentioned she reincarnated so quickly because maybe she was murdered. If it turns out to be true, she wasn't the target - nobody cared about her - but maybe SeoHa. Since he was out of the country so much and now he's returned to make a mess of whatever his would-be killer wanted to do, it's probable they'll try again.
I haven't read the webtoon though, so no idea how close I'm getting.
First things first... Shin HyeSun is such a beautiful woman.
Also, Ahn BoHyun looks humongous LOL, but he's only 1.88m (acc. to wikipedia), is everybody else so little or is it just his ex-boxer build that makes him look so?
Okay, that final scene made me feel a bit sad - I really did think the mother came over. So sad. But at least she and ChoWon can get to be friends.
And lastly... OMG that dress really is c-thru LOL what were they THINKING? :D
Wait, PS. DoHyun and SeoHa have such a great relationship :D
Do you think the chairman's son could remember him from the construction site ?
You think HoWoo is VP's son, too - so SeungJo's brother? I think that maybe the VP did something evil, like arrange an accident or made the parents disappear somewhere they couldn't ever be found, with HoWoo the only survivor... Because he knew his own name and nothing else.
On the other hand, if HoWoo's family was only his mother, she COULD have been VP's mistress so that he would be an unwanted and bastard son, which could be the backstory.
When SeungJo said that VP used his own son I guess he was referring to himself - he went to give the bankruptcy or whatever it was called act to Mr. Jang because he believed it was the correct thing to do but then discovered it was all a ploy so that the company could be bought out on the cheap. At least that was my impression of that exchange...

SeungJo definitely remembers him, because he's a bit fixed on that adversary take-over of Haebit Constr.. He even remembers JiSoo coming at the site where her father fell that night, so it definitely marked him.
The villain - if it's only the VP - is the weakest part of the drama. Even if the editing could use some straightening up, the story actually makes a good amount of sense. BUT the villain isn't convincing. He was threatening someone and it should have been terrifying but it sounded like he was half-assing it, not really into the scene at all. I hope he improves. Or that there are more and better villains.
As for the rest of the charas - well, SeungJo seems surprised with whatever HoWoo is doing, and he shouldn't be, IMHO. What impressive new tricks could a green hand do in such an intricate world? If there's going to be any understanding between them (I won't hope for bromance) it'd better happen soon, cause it's not a long drama.
And I also hope they won't put any unneeded romance in it. There's not a lot of time for a 12 eps drama to even develop a convincing romance either.
Anyway, second ep was good - was sad to see the good guy leave, he was an honest person and that's a rara avis in dramas about corruption. I'll be waiting for next week's eps.
But the soul of the story isn't in creating misery for the viewer. So in short, yes, it's that good, and yes, it hits all the right spots.
Everybody pack up and leave this drama, there's no sense trying any more. /s
Would you get over yourself, LOL? Or not, I don't actually care :D Have a nice life.

I hope it's not the case, though. Maybe it got lost in TL.

The last I completely watched was Ojakgyo Brothers, it's been FOREVER LOL.
Any good NEW(ish) makjang recs? ( And I mean the makjang is the soul of the drama, not just parts of it.)
