She told him she had a husband who LEFT her (XL). I mean. I don't really see how she's well-intending towards…
My impression is that she does mean he left her (and it doesn't matter how), and that she faults him for that. There's no yearning on her side when she's telling it directly to his face (she's not even trying to find out if he remembers anything).
tbh tons of drama butchered the novel and this is already following the novel than most drama and imo even elevate…
However it ends, this was one the best drama journeys I've ever had, and that's going to be in my final comment for this drama, when it ends.
It feels it's been such a long time from talking-to-crows and having snow-fights and killing former allies and wandering in the Barren Abyss, and losing an eye then getting it back, and the swing under the arch and even since the tower scene... And it's not even been a whole month, either!!
This is what it means to be epic - I hope more others follow in its wake. And now I'm kind of fearing for 2ha, if it ever gets released - it'll have such an immense precursor/competition and people will keep comparing TTJ to CWN LOL, I need CWN to come through for me :D
Why do I have the feeling Bitchang and XL 2.0 will have a “happy ending”. The way they set up their story…
She told him she had a husband who LEFT her (XL). I mean. I don't really see how she's well-intending towards him since she's starting with a huge lie.
*Susu in a coma 90% of the episode*SS hater: damn that Susu torturing our lord hotness!!!
And some people going - her scenes got CUT!!! Yeah, we obviously need to see some more unconscious heroine lying around doing nothing while the ML is going through his time of final choice or something, 6 eps from the finale.
tbh tons of drama butchered the novel and this is already following the novel than most drama and imo even elevate…
I wouldn't even mind if they were arguing in good faith, TBH. I mean, I can see the shortcomings too - but the editing got done, the choices were made, what good is to whine over what people not involved with the production FEEL it should've had been included or left off or unchanged or changed and whatnot?!
And seriously, I am of two minds about people complaining about the timeline and details - they're pretty smooth (some small moments aside) and they're discussing it as if EVERY little scene in the damned drama is mixed up and lower than expectations.
This is absolutely one of the best, grandest and most epic xianxia I've ever watched (and I did watch other big xianxia IPs), some people will simply never get satisfied with what they're getting, even if they don't even know any better.
I understand what you mean. These complaints are the same type of complaints from those who need to chew their…
I've read so many freaking comments about the pink dress-white dress-pink dress switcheroo in ep 33, WHAT THE HECK IS SO COMPLICATED, she freaking changed her dress to throw out spelled, bad-smelling water then changed back, she's holding her freaking nose throwing that water, WHAT if they didn't spell it out it's not easy to see?!
It's really frustrating.
Also yeah so they did have to cut a lot of scenes (I bet the production team is the one suffering the most, since they probably already filmed those scenes and spent a lot of money on them so they VERY probably really wanted to include as many as possible) but they had to, let's freaking deal with it and move on!!!!
I've tried to explain about the longer eps and lower eps count that doesn't lead up to all that much cut time in the end, but nope, people don't want to hear that, it's all, "oh so many scenes cut", "too much TTJ, too little LSS/YQY/anybody else", okay, they freaking made their editing choices, let's all just... watch and comment on what they chose then??
I BET most of the other dramas aren't under such a huge magnifying lens, there are some really bad (IMHO) dramas that get lauded to the heavens despite the obvious shortcomings, but no, this one has to be hated on from the beginning, then split to the smallest detail nobody really noticed but saw a discussion over on twtr or weibo and so on and so forth...
This site suddenly teems with editing experts or people who know exactly WHICH scenes got cut or why LOL. It's becoming absolutely ridiculous.
... I'm thinking, though, I'll just get off this bad-edit bandwagon of comments and wait it out without coming here for the rest of the eps.
I get it, they had to edit it out, lots of scenes cut, way too lopsided scenes in favour of the ML (in the most important part of his story, where the FL is basically unconscious but let's move past this), yadda-yadda-yadda.
It's not too complicated to go through the slimmed-down plot, I have no idea what a lot of people are complaining about. I for one don't need it to be faithful to the novel (I won't read it now just because of the complaints in the beginning that TTJ wasn't dark enough and that LSS gets way way more hurt - like raped and beaten and stuff, AS IF China would have ever allowed that in a drama LOL), I don't need for every little detail to be explained to me like I can't see what's going on - seriously, it's not all that damned complicated, what are people on about?!!
And let's not talk about the smooth comments from people whose lists profess they dropped the drama weeks ago and rated it 1 but still come and discuss it as if they're watching it while pretending to enjoy it.
It's getting kind of tiring with all the fuss over NOTHING, making mountains out of anthills over things nobody really cares about - seriously, are we even watching the same drama?!! The details are all there to see and understand, do we really need to be led by the nose and have ALL those nonsense details pointed at for us, what the heck! I don't want my fun to be spoiled and I don't really intend to reply to comments that will probably go the way of "it's a free site, we're free to comment" bla-bla-bla, they're absolutely right. And it's absolutely right to choose not to engage with such comments and the people writing them. This is not a democracy so free speech is not what's it all about.
Before I watch epi 34 I want to rant about epi 33. Please bear with me. What a badly edited episode omg. I mean…
LSS in pink - "we have to block the demon's way using spelled water". LSS in white, throwing spelled water that smells bad (she's holding her nose): splashback. LSS back in pink trying to not smell bad and attract the demon.
It makes sense she changed.
Mo Nv is not pretending to be anything, she's doing demon business, and waiting to entrap Immortals. She explains the whole shop is for the demons to get victims to come to them and not have to go around searching for them...
The TL has some problems - they're obvious in the way they're using names that don't fit any more for people who changed names, but that's the TL's problem.
So... gonna rewatch this as soon as I can. This might be one of the best eps yet.
First off - everybody is a virgin in those Immortal Sects. Why would anyone want to join?! (Though I wonder if MN just planted those memories in GYJW's brain or something actually happened LOL).
Second - it was kind of clear they were gonna trap him with all those people as hostages. Where the heck was LSS for all of this?!
Third - it's not all hopeless. His sect stood by him for the most part, even despite the evidence incriminating him. It might help him resist.
Fourth: still one of the best eps. A whole baggage of emotions and pain - I BET DM is lying somehow.
He didn't realize it was himself. He thought he might look like the Devil God or something, so he had no idea…
Again, it's not that he doesn't know he would turn into DG given the right circumstances (he worked that out, not thanks to anyone given nobody's telling him anything). Though LSS didn't know he did, which is what she realized through this discussion). It's that he didn't know why she feared HIM (as in, it wasn't obvious to him before why she couldn't shake it off, given he doesn't intend to become DG or will allow himself to be seduced over to the DG's side).
Kind of funny how they reused the first ep demon lord scenes in today's episodes XD
(I should be sleeping LOL, I can't help myself coming back to this comment section)
That's the whole idea, actually, LOL. The demon took LSS's memories to create a nightmare for TTJ, so he sees the same things LSS saw, the same images of the ADG, etc. It finally helps him realize HE is that thing, and this is what LSS is actually fearing.
No, they are not past lives. Everybody being shown in this dream arc - the Bo'Re Life - is now dead, with a few exceptions - the God of Time and some of the evil minions of the Ancient Devil God.
Gods and goddesses are divine essence only and don't go through hells to be reincarnated. When they're gone, for whatever reason, they're gone forever. When MY dies, he's gone. TTJ is now feeling and "re-living" MY's tale of love and war, while YXW is living SJ's, and XL is SY, respectively YBC is TH.
The idea of the dream is to teach things to them, it's part of a larger prophecy that is meant to deal with the Devil God's resurrection (because HE cannot be destroyed forever since mankind keeps re-making him.)
If you remember, the God of Time set YXW three tasks - she needs a dream, a thread and a tear that would help her build a tool to get the Devil Bone out of TTJ. All three things are related to this arc, so pay attention :)
PS The Flood Dragon that TTJ was trying to wake up is the last remnant part of MY's conscience and qi (energy), left behind to ensnare people in his repeating dream of his past life. The dragon is NOT alive any more either.
PPS Wait I now read your last question with more attention (sleepy, sorry): The Ancient Devil God takes off his mask and he looks like TTJ because TTJ is his vessel in this timeline (10k years after he's in the war with the god MY). The Devil Bone in TTJ was entrusted to the YiYue tribe that TTJ is from to give a child for the ADG's reincarnation, which they did. So they have the same face BUT the eyes are always different.
There are two timelines. LSS exists in both of them. In the first one, Devil God came and destroyed the sects…
I did say LSS coming back to the past obliterated the original history after TTJ didn't die anymore. GJYW in the original timeline obviously was immortal or trying to be, since he was in the sect.
By the way... why did he change his name to GYJW in the original timeline? Just because remaining Xiao Lin would have put restraints on him, what with being from an imperial family and the like?
Might be just my impression.

The drama isn't that hard to understand or follow in some parts, but it's true, there are a lot of details and some might escape attention at times.
