Err, it's happening on different roads/parts of the city.
The inn LSS goes to is the only one that hasn't YET had a demon hit on the travellers ON THAT STREET (all the rest of them had attacks), so nobody goes there so that they don't become targets. Since the rest of the city doesn't seem affected, there are people around. And there's a festival going to happen soon, people would be around anyway, preparing.
TTJ breaks the dream after he was on some street in the city, around the crossroads they split. He took one of the three paths they left for the demon, so he fought it and got in the dream while still on the street. After waking he went to check on her and she's fine. They don't share the room (much to my annoyance LOL) so he has no actual reason to wait around.
A much better question is how come neither cares what happened to GYJW yet, LOL. Maybe since the demon is defeated, they imagine he's still looking and don't bother calling him back, or he's back and sleeping in his own room, and they also don't want him around. Still, it's morning by the end of the episode, I think GYJW will return with no memories of MN. Maybe.
How is it that in this timeline LSS mortal father only found her egg some decades back and sent her for reincarnation…
Reading a lot of fantasy and scifi and even c-web novels helps a lot. I like transmigrations and time paradoxes are all over transmigration stories, LOL.
How is it that in this timeline LSS mortal father only found her egg some decades back and sent her for reincarnation…
The two timelines aren't happening in parallel. When she went back the first time, she destroyed the original and started up the second one. (It's a confusing time paradox that allowed time to go all the way through until the sects' destruction but then set it back to 500 years ago to another path).
God tribulations don't happen in a liniar timeline either. Also, the phoenix (immortal) not being hatched yet has no real impact on when the tribulation (mortal life of the immortal being) is being set up in time. LSS decided YXW was her mortal version because it would explain, in her mind, why she got there (YXW is acting as an anchor) and why original YXW was a bitch - she was a complete psycho, thus LSS decided she must've been her evil side. The egg existing for those thousand of years would be enough for mortal tribulations to happen in that period.
Novel readers have mentioned this (failed) tribulation wasn't the only one, but one of about ten or something. Not relying on novel info, as this is the drama and has to be complete on its own, it's still a xianxia trope to have tribulations spread all over the place and time, basically unconnected to the immortal's life itself.
I'm not an expert though and haven't written this or other novel/drama either, so take this with a grain of salt, LOL.
How is it that in this timeline LSS mortal father only found her egg some decades back and sent her for reincarnation…
Timeline 1: LSS gets sent back in time. Her origins in that version aren't explained BUT the war of gods and the Devil God had already taken place 10k years ago so Di Mian was already sealed in the Barren Abyss. It's very probable it went the same way the first time around - Leader Qu finds Di Mian and gets to raise the egg as thanks for being saved. The egg is older than 10k years in both timelines, too, LOL, because her mother, the Goddess of Space, died in the war.
Timeline 2: TL2 LSS had to go through tribulations to become a goddess in this life, but failed and was sent to the bottom of the Pool for ten years (basically failing the lightning tribulation means she's dead. Nobody expected her back.) TL1 LSS finished her mission, UNDERWENT and survived the lightning tribulation when she took the Bone, and got sent to the TL2 in place of that timeline's LSS.
I think PYZ went and had a talk with Ji Ze, to get all that info.
Hi Everyone! So I told myself I will try my best to wait for this to finish before I binge watch it straight because…
This drama is pure pain with a few bits of sweetness thrown in to emphasize the taste of pain. If it's a BE, it'll be earned. If it's a HE, the whole world will rejoice and thousands of doves will be released in its honour.
But everything is gorgeous and grand, from the two leads to the sets, the music, the battle scenes, EVERYTHING. This is a xianxia feast. Dive in!
You made me go look at it again - she's spreading water along the demon's way, dressed in the white dress, while holding her nose. That water stinks. I definitely can see why she would change out of the pink dress, LOL.
Just because the change of dress seemed important, LOL.
GYJW is third-wheeling so hard in the setting up the plan scene, LOL, even he realised it :D
They didn't have the same dream. Her dream was a database for Ye Mei, the only dream we saw enacted is TTJ's. She might not even be aware the info was stolen by the demon.
As for the lack of emotions... it's finally started to dawn on me, repeatedly, why she takes the Heartless Way. To not emote, at all if possible, or not much. From her POV, maybe she laid down waiting for the demon to show up, the demon didn't, but she got bored with waiting / woke up before she realised she's dreaming / asleep, and that's it.
0. LSS decides to go the Jing capital, TTJ decides he's going to be around her all the time from now on so he follows her wherever she goes. Meanwhile GYJW is busy exorcising demons and getting snared by MN.
1. LSS finds out there's a demon who likes to attack lonely travellers (who optionally dress well). So she decides to dress well and shows up at the inn, before learning what kind of demon it even is. TTJ is with, her, the pink dress is worn. 2. GYJW is at the inn next door, having been taken there by MN under the pretense she - MN - also went to the capital. That is the FIRST time they're meeting, the three of them. Where did you see LSS and GYJW together to plot before this? (Unless you mistook MN in the carriage with LSS). 3. The three of them make up a rushed plan to deal with the demon and LSS really does change out of the pink dress in order to go do the dirty work. Maybe she only brought the two dresses and wants to use the cuter one to trap the demon. It's not too farfetched. 4. They enact the plan and things happen, etc.
I seriously see no problem with it. What, do we really need all details spelled out?!
Yes, LSS shift from “we are strangers” to “we are in the same sect” to calling him TTj to “you are not…
We came to that conclusion because it WAS shown in the drama. I rather like not to be told but shown and left to make my own decisions on how to understand a chara.
What, are you saying the Terminator wasn't a MC? I think LSS/YXW (more likely) is a MC. It's just not the usual xianxia emo MC (she could show some more emotions... but then... She'll be back :D)
Think about it - it's a reverse mirror xianxia. Usually it's the ML who is cold and unreflective and does all these stupid things because they're not explained. And the FL is the emotional one, throwing pain waves all around and crying her eyes out. Not saying TTJ has been crying his eyes out (there were some moments) but he's definitely emoting all over the place in all his impersonations LOL, while she's been a block of ice. I am not certain I'd like all xianxia to be like that, but it's definitely a change from the norm.
They did meet him by accident, he was out in the world exorcising demons and getting caught in MN's trap. They (the three of them) didn't plot it out together. GYJW got there via MN's transportation means. And MN actually had a hand in plotting things from the demons' side of the plot so she'd know where to "plant" him.
And there was no plan set out anyway on the immortals' side, since LSS learned about the demon only when she was in the capital. It was TTJ who was following her (because he decided to be proactive) who get to team up with her and catch the demon. They had to use remote learning LOL to get the info on what kind of demon they're facing anyway - do we really need to see all the crow back-and-forth talking?!
There were two dreams - Ye Mei got all the info from LSS and used it to build up a nightmare for TTJ.
I seriously wonder if this drama is either made according to how I understand the world (well, fantasy worlds) or it really can be that complicated to see in detail. It doesn't look complicated to me, anyway. (This is not supposed to be slight, it's just that I really don't have a problem understanding any of the timelines in this ep or the others, and I can follow the story easily).
Yes, LSS shift from “we are strangers” to “we are in the same sect” to calling him TTj to “you are not…
I see her as the Terminator. She doesn't have any other intentions in the mortal life but to take the Bone and kill TTJ, of which she finally manages half and then she decides it'll be enough for now.
Since the immortal life began, she too didn't have any chance to make a mentality adjustment either - she poof!-ed out of the Pool and discovered the Immortal Sects and had to reintegrate, while still having to think up a way to contain or destroy the Bone.
I was mad at her myself yesterday, LOL, because she seemed needlessly cruel, but it makes sense. She freaking has PTSD from the first timeline and never had the chance to process it, and now all those people she couldn't mourn for lack of time are alive again - but not the same...
I wonder how come she's still sane.
So if instead of trying to look at her as if she's a sane, normal human/immortal being, you look at her as if she's someone under tremendous pressure (and then her lover comes back from the dead and he never died either but was tortured himself for half a millenium), it kind of make sense these two never got on the right wavelength.
YET. I hope some things at least will change from now on.
ok currently on ep 32 and can someone please explain to me why li susu is being the way she is...like cmon girl…
She finally read Nietzsche. She decided to try out some applied philosophy on TTJ and see if it made him stronger if it didn't kill him, LOL. (IMHO, she's kind of lost in the dark and desperate and feeling her way out so that the world is saved - again.)
Yes, LSS shift from “we are strangers” to “we are in the same sect” to calling him TTj to “you are not…
Weird because she was strange so far, with not accepting perfectly good explanations and deciding everything in her own head, separate from all rational thinking.
Now she's acting like she grew a brain finally, it looks strange LOL.
Maybe that Heartless Way did help her sort some feelings and thoughts after all.
