Wow, when the ED theme came up, it sounded SO MUCH like Sleepless Beauty I almost expected it to grow into that song (it's not the same song, but the opening to SB is so alike, I loved it.)
So anyway, this feels more inspired by a manga or an anime than a novel and Naoki is almost L but on music not on detecting LOL (ETA And now after the beginning of the second ep, his stage play is SO like OOK's Taka's hahaha), but I liked the first ep. And anything that reminds me of the Gravitation OST is a win.
That was a long ep and all I'm taking from it is Janine looking just a tiny bit clueless then deciding "I…
So... that'll be a TU moment LOL. And we all know WWX eventually came back so why not Armin?
I don't get it though - are they both remembering their past lives and Armin is now having foresight or something to dream about being attacked...?
PS Though, makeup and effects crew, pay attention LOL, Armin was shot in the chest and had surgery not so long ago, try to remember to give him a hero's scar or something - I mean... did they have perfect plastic surgery for scars back in the 2000s LOL?
That was a long ep and all I'm taking from it is Janine looking just a tiny bit clueless then deciding "I want to see" LOL. And then offering to Weynai to "take him". I say yes to both LOL.
Because he's not in it for the justice-for-all as he says, he's in it for the chaos. He wants to make a chaotic…
They were sent to the address - his mother had her name on the rental because he couldn't get one, given his record. But they did send it to the address only he was living at.
An all-out shootout. But I liked it (despite the game-like shooting LOL). Give Kim YoungKwang more leading roles…
But it doesn't really make sense that 10-12 mercs are WAITING AROUND for Lee Do to grab their weapons and shoot them all in sequence - like in one scene you can even see that while Lee Do is killing off two mercs one after the other, a third is in the background, not even poiting his gun at him, waiting for his turn LOL. Like, WHAT? :D
He also got shot with a dozen bullets in the scene where his captain was killed and STILL none of them hit any vital points, he's out and about in three days or so LOL. Talk about plot armour :D
WHY THE HELL didn't the police/special troops lock the freaking stadium or what?! They're in a special situation already declared, almost to martial law state, and they did not even block everyone from coming to get ~free~ guns. That doesn't make sense. And the guys they did send to the stadium were like regular traffic patrol, LOL, not the SWAT or something, in way too few numbers to even try to intervene.
Anyway - we'll pretend it makes sense because drama.
I'm going to quote Neo on this drama, after 4 eps LOL - it's basically ~I need guns. Lots of guns.~
The action choreos are amazing (particularly the ones with big guns, the knife fights are good also but there seems to be a disbalance of power, Lee Do is way too OP for these poor goons.
This has a feeling of ASFK and Bloodhounds combined, LOL. I like it.
And I like Moon Baek too - it's pretty obvious who he is, with his workplace and all, but I like the crazy in the character.
What is that synopsis though. Everybody and their pets who watched ASFK1 are waiting for the showdown between JJM and Bale and we're getting basically a spin-off? :( Because it sounds like Bale is in the cast and not dead and then what the heck was JJM doing that night?)
I just went from anxiously waiting to anxiously hoping they don't retcon the first season and destroy it.
Why the hell would they wait for freaking TEN YEARS to get married though?! Didn't they confess their love in…
She married and remained married to that idiot who tormented her for ten years then killed her so now she doesn't want to get married UNTIL the date of her first death and then suddenly she asks her new (of ten years new) lover in marriage?
Listen, I know it's fictional but that isn't some out-of-the-blue girl-power move, it's bad writing. Not that I care any more, actually. I've already said I don't even want to remember those scenes for the sake of what came before, which was good. But I guess it's not to be, hélas.

(PS I didn't even recognize Machida Keita LOL).
Dropped.

And he did it before too - remember Lee Do's story of the blue-eyed Asian who made a village go mad?

Give Kim YoungKwang more leading roles where he can sport that wicked smile and that mane of glory - he's mesmerising. Also Kim NamGil - so fine.
The plot - what plot? - was okay, my favourite villain is still Anchovies Man, some pretty good songs in this one, too.
Also, MLC's ending is pretty clear, no HEA, he's gone.

PS Also, gun-knowing people, is it normal for a person to take around 10 rounds and still not die?!
But then the ep ends with "Which one of you bastards ate my anchovies" and I'm sat for this LOL. That was badass.
Err, am I rooting for the 1st ep's bad guy?...
