Also, this is like a really tight-budget drama lol. They even had to bring clothes worn by Ju Jingyi in The Blooms at Ruyi Pavillion for the female lead to wear. Those clothes are still there in the warehouses huh? I wonder where would the thousands of costume drama's clothes and props go after they finished filming.
Lmao, the synopsis, and the actual drama are so different from each other. This is so misleading and can make people have false expectations. The name Er Gou is never mentioned even once in the whole drama. She often often pretends to be her twin and sneaks out of the mansion? No!! She's supposed to be the "bad omen" child and already lives somewhere far away. She also already knows enough martial arts, there were no "training" sequences.
Here's how I would summarize it: (My writing skill is bad, so please bear with me.) Liu Jingshu and Liu Jia are the twin daughters of General Liu Mansion. Ancestral rules forbid people to have twins. The twin who is born first can be kept, while the later born is regarded as an unworthy child. The two siblings were raised separately. Liu Jiangshu grew up to be a well-read, elegant and fine lady, while Liu Jia, who grew up in the frontier, is lively, resourceful, and skilled in martial arts.
After visiting her husband-to-be's mansion, Liu Jingshu went missing and disappeared without a trace. In order to find her sister, Liu Jia pretended to be her twin sister and married the infamous, Xiao Renyan, the rumored playboy and the First Young Master of the Xuan Ping Marquis Mansion. However, this might not be the first time they have met.
Everything went so smoothly, I was afraid that her revenge would backfire in some ways lol. When you watched too much "drama" dramas. XD Well, I guess this is her second chance, so it went pretty well I guess.
The actress who played Xin'er really shines toward the end. Her acting gets better latter on. The fact that she was the only one who wasn't dubbed in the whole drama lmao.
