Also like Jin getting involved in Saki's life... if in the original timeline, she did get married, she would have descendants, right? Having him involved, let's say they did get married together or she ended up not getting married because of him, wouldn't that affect her descendants in the original timeline causing them not to be born at all?

A Japanese movie about Cambodia? Sure!!!

I'm not good with words, but here we go. I found this movie a few years back when I randomly searched my country's name on MDL. I finally found it and got to watch it today. As a local Cambodian, it was nice to see a different perspective on Cambodia through Japanese media lens and how things were back in those days. Even though those problems are still here, we did improve a lot. 2006? It's been 17 years, huh?

The random shaking camera (not much of it, don't worry) gave off documentary-ish feelings along the way. You feel more invested(?) when you actually understand what locals were saying without the subtitles hahahha. However, a few lines sounded and felt scripted, yes. But I must admit I did get teared up a bit though hahahaha. I felt their efforts in trying to portray what they wanted to tell.

We can't change the world, but a little thing can make a difference in someone's life.

Going into it without much expectation made me enjoy it more ig. It was fun and entertaining ngl.

Also, Japanese people really like Hawaii, huh? I have seen so many Jdramas/anime mentioning and referencing Hawaii a lot.

There's also an annual Aizu Festival at Fukushima Prefecture every September, and Ayase-san has been participating every year since 2014 too. Damn... it's almost September already. This year will be their 10th year anniversary too.

I just finished ep 1, and my honest reaction was: WTF!?!! That's fked up.

That last scene was so powerful- Old Yae looking at the young her...

I thought It would take at least 2 weeks for me to finish all 50 eps, but I took only 8 days lol XD
Ep 50: As an anime watcher, you know it's gonna be an epic episode when there's no opening title at the beginning at all.
Started with the Sakura tree, and ended with the same Sakura tree.

I literally couldn't stop crying rn. That last scene was so powerful-

The opening title at the end combined all of the changes that happened from all of the previous openings... beautiful... I didn't skip the opening at throughout the 50 episodes of it. It's nice to see the changes happen to it throughout the drama when there are important changes to the story.
Yokatta!!! I'm glad that I chose this as my first historical Taiga drama. (I watched the Fantasy Taiga first) This was a fun and good watch. Well, if you like learning about History and enjoy crying, this is a great drama to watch lol.
I have been holding myself back enough, now it's time for an hour or two of Wikipedia scrolling.

The fact that Ayase-san hasn't led an Asadora at all considering her popularity (as of now)... She led not ONE, but TWO Taiga dramas lol. This is such a feat.

Edit: Dude!!! She even got a Sakura tree named after her because of this work, holy hell!!! Its flowers have double layers, with the meaning of Yae's name being multilayered, or double-layered. Sheeshhh!!!

Ep 42: *the inn staff excitedly talks about Yae's clothes and her speaking in Aizu's accent without knowing who she is*

And the hell bro, they really went that far- T-T

YABAI- The consequences of her shooting skills- omg...
We always wanted to see her in actions from the start that we forgot about all of the consequences that came after it. After all of the war, we didn't actually get to see her contemplating on her being actively fighting the war and killing many people. This episode gave us a woke of how much her skills impacted others.

Ep 39: Aww, it's nice to see Yae in her training attire again... natsukashi...
"Our children" I thought they finally got a child or sth, but damn... this episode

Jo told them that he had proposed to Yae.... Everyone was too stunned to speak- DX

Also like... Yae will also marry another freeloader of the house? Ahahahha she also accepted them both on the 2nd proposal!!!

Ep 35: Also, the women's school and stuff reminds me of Hanako to Anne. They are both teachers too.

Hold up- he was Jiro!?! DUDE!! They later played siblings in JIN. God- I still have a season left... I hope it won't mess with my head while watching XD

Before starting this drama, reading the synopsis, I really thought she would be in the winning side of the Boshin War. However, a few episodes into the drama itself, I realized Aizu is always on the Shogunate side... it was difficult to watch them progress into that war when you already knew the final outcome of it.

I finished ep 30.... ohh my god, I'm so exhausted from crying so much in these past episodes.... I'm having a headache rn because of it... It's nice to feel relaxed a bit, but damn... now it's the trauma and denial phase everyone is going through right now.
Shit- I need to take a little break and watch sth light-hearted before coming back-

Also, she even went for the Taisho period setting one, and why is she speaking in Aizu's accent!? Hahahaha I got too used to that accent... I might even mishear it ohh god- I'm really on Yae no Sakura brain rot.....

Japanese comedy is something else. The way her English was so bad... the sudden change from "I like apples." to "Happy Birthday." was hilarious.
