They didn't reach A lister category ,It is Cheng Lei's first Lead role in big length series and also Zhou Ye's first big female centric project where A listers are the one who acted in many S+ project and had many hit projects (in mainland )under their name .

And there ia no rules that only A listed stars can act in S+ dramas ,For example lost you forever had ZWY,DW,TJC as ml's and at that time they had least traffic ,DW didn't even had any lead role before it but that drama was an S+ drama and Yang Zi was the only A listed actor in LYF.

In the novel the sml did like the fl but it wasn't heavy triangle ,After getting rejected by the Fl ,he stopped chasing her because he has his own story so i hope they won't change it by turning him crazy man for the fl

On weibo many fans are saying that the scriptwriter changed important parts of the male leads story .which is why the ml actor's fans are protesting their right .Also they made a character SML which wasn't the sml in the novel .(The sml was xie yi in the novel ,he was the fl's crush but he had no feelings for the fl and also the fl's feelings for him was just a teenage crush .so i didn't even count it as a triangle ).Also their childhood part is very important to the story.how the fl's character developed ,how the ml survived in his tragic life and the tragic events of his life aren't few.these parts are important as well .it was never a typical romance focused story and 24 episodes definitely can't be enough to cover the full plot .


If what the fans are saying is true then goodbye to this adaptation from me as well .No offense to anyone .It's just me who can't accept the change .

lmao i am same.One part of me got relax after knowing that the main characters and plot won't be like the novel but on the other hand i felt that i got too many spoilers of drama version 😂

so they are including MQY's Eldest brother in the adaptation .I would have like it more if they add his love interest from the novel as well but i don't think think they would do it .In the novel his brother appeared only in one side story which is about his brother's tragic story .It is included in mydramanovel site but not in novel updates site.
In the novel he died early when murong qingyi was very young so there was no interaction between ren susu and him .I should say his death was more like s*icide because his lover died in a accident.There was a hint that his father somehow had his hand behind it,even though i think his father wanted to scare her so that they break up with each other but she really died which MQY's Eldest brother couldn't accept .I felt bad for him because he was the only likable man in murong family 😭
yes MQY's son was also good but his surname was different that's why i didn't count him.

If it looks force to some of you then okay everyone can have different preferences .But Not everyone who are hyping their scenes are romance lover.There are many watchers who liked both XZ and ZJY and felt chemistry between them so it's normal for them to hype their scene .And i said before that i am watching the drama for revenge plot but as long as they keep the revenge plot in right track till the end then i have no problem with some romance as a subplot .
