The novel had HE for the main couple . And there is love triangle between ml x fl x sml but it wasn't heavy ,the sml didn't chase her after getting rejection but from the trailer of the drama it seems the triangle is going to heavy in this one but still i don't think they will make problem between the leads because the drama has 36 episodes and they had to cover many plots ,so dragging the triangle will be stupidity of them

I think it's because the author is popular ,there is another story which was about murong qingyi's father murong feng-Too late to say i love you ,and another drama in same universe ,I forgot the name ,the leads are sun yi and Elvis han,both drama had decent rating and the novel is popular .But i think they won't connect these dramas because murong qingyi ,his brothers sisters all of them are the children of murong feng and Cheng jingzhi(the ml and second fl of Too late to say i love you ),in the novel ver ,murong feng didn't ended up with the fl because he was a trash and his life locked with the second fl but in the drama version ,murong feng ended up with the fl despite him doing trash deeds but i think as it was from 2010 and at that time many viewers even enjoyed these kinds of plot ,at least it's novel version had acceptable endings .Because nowadays no one can accept such a plot and it won't pass the censorship as well 😅
But the novel version of Overdo only has 10 chapters ,the main leads part are only in 7 chapters which was more focused on abusing ,the writing is not good which i find in her other works .That's why the novel wasn't popular like her other's work .But her name alone can give hype so I think that's why they are using the characters name.
Shen Muxue character was annoying so i am okay with deleting this character ,but why they had to keep Xu Pingting ?She was even more annoying and hateful ,even if they whitewash her ,i can't make myself able to tolerate her.
