I have to say it, one of the worst series we've gotten in 2020 and that's saying something. I'm honestly trying to process how anyone is supposed to know what the hell is going on if they haven't read the novels because good god is the writing bad. More than half the story is missing, the characters are basically caricatures (not surprising), and the chemistry between the actors is glaringly non-existent. I have yet to see anything resembling romantic love from Tin and Can, there is love between them but I don't think it's the kind of love you're in a physical relationship with someone with. I mean for heaven's sake how many cut-aways have we had of them because there's obviously a clear reluctance on likely one or the other's part to participate in physical intimacy. I would rather they just not have scenes like that at all, they aren't really necessary and it just highlights how much they aren't comfortable together. Who wants to see that? I'm begging now, please let this be the final series. No more. Who knew they would end up doing Saint a favor kicking him out of this mess?

The only reason he has a wife and a son is because he's trying to be the perfect heir. He doesn't love his wife, or is interested in her at all. They don't even live together. I don't know the details of how she got pregnant but she's basically a means to an end for him, though Tul choosing to be with her is the reason Hin decides to leave for a time.

Oh man, this was good. Like really good. I can't wait to watch the next episode.

Kurosawa is peak prince material and Adachi is so awkwardly adorable you can't help but be drawn in by him. I'm completely charmed by this whole series. I can't wait for the second couple to develop because...cats. Anyone can fall in love over a shared love of cats (or anything soft and fluffy haha).

I didn't say it was a sad ending though lol one could say it's a fatalistic one with most relationships these days.

I'm so in love with the series. It's lighthearted and cute, but also touches on real issues and emotions. I am so impressed by the dialogue and the slow but steady character development as we dive into each of them, even Ana! Highly recommend watching, it's been such a joy so far. There's a realism and human quality to this that is really connecting with me. Also, small thing but can I also point out how excellent the soundtrack is? My spotify is getting so many ads from this series.

I'm so behind Terrence and Wesley but I really hope Achilles gets his own satisfying happy ending, he clearly deserves it. Also, I'm hoping Achilles is the lead or one of the leads in the new series, we need more male leads like him!

I don't know how or why (if their parents ever find out or what) but I think Tin ends up heading the family business and ends up with everything so...I can only assume the truth comes out? Maybe someone else will clarify haha I don't think the novels were ever fully translated but I had to drop Breath it was too much for me.

If you're interested I posted a full explanation (contains some spoilers) above. But yes, in the end Tin does end up "defeating" his brother, though it's kind of...ambiguous. I think the problem is that Tul's issues are definitely related to his mental health, and I think Tin grows to understand this. Which, even though he triumphs in the end, I think makes him sad for the lost potential of a relationship with his brother. I didn't finish reading the entirely of Breath (Tul's novel) so I'm not sure about the specifics but from what I know and have heard Tin ends up what would probably be considered the "victor".

Tul's hatred for Tin isn't because of Hin, Tul has always hated Tin. Tul vowed he would destroy Tin and take everything that was his because Tin is the actual legitimate child of their father. Tul's mother is English and when her and their dad got together, their dad's parents (especially the grandmother) forced it to end. When that happened Tul's mother abandoned Tul and Tul's father married Tin's mom and they had Tin who was considered the male heir of the family. Tul was left with his grandmother who abused him, so he hates women. Hin has been around him from childhood and they have a very...er...disturbing imo servant/master relationship where Tul likes to hurt and force himself on Hin and Hin allows it because he thinks Tul needs the outlet of hurting someone to make him happy. Which is true, Tul is pretty sadistic and does get off on hurting other people, especially Tin. Hin obsessively loves Tul to the point that he will let Tul do anything to him. That's why there's the scene in the series where Tul says "you can only cry if I make you cry" (or whatever the line was). Tul keeps Hin on the side even though he gets married and has a son because it's in his plan to take over everything by being the perfect heir.

They've both mentioned that Tul spoiled him on purpose so that he would be out of control, and his parents would want to send him away to boarding school (that's why they showed the scene where Tin hurt Hin). Once he is away at boarding school that's when Tul initiates the plot to get him caught with drugs and makes sure it leaks to the press so it ruins his reputation. The woman Tul is talking to in the last episode is not Tul's real mom it's actually Tin's mom.Tin's mom is a pretty selfish character who only cares about what makes her look good, i.e. she doesn't care about her own son. Tul's mission in life is to take everything away from Tin that could ever make him happy, and now that includes Can. Anyway, Hin is a huge part of Tul's life and story. In fact, Tul's son is named after Hin and their relationship (crazy I know). It's also why Tul carries around the black stone, Hin in Thai translates to stone. Hopefully this helps anyone who is confused to better understand both their characters. You can find the novel translated on Wattpad, but I'll warn you it is graphic and definitely highlights negative aspects of a very dark relationship. It is contains rape and abuse, but beyond that a character who actively enjoys hurting his partner in unsafe ways. At the very least make sure to read what triggers there might be just in case.
