Throwing out the monarchy was not just throwing that out but throwing out nobility/inherited status overall which…
I hate monarchy. I don't support it. But I also hate too much of idealistic characters. This drama has a fantasy setting. You're saying as if you're watching a noir. A royal fantasy setting needs kings and queens, not a prince who fights for his rights only to throw it away when he gets it. This kind of setting needs leaders who are there for their citizens, not your everyday corporate girlie and a househusband who just eats Subway becouse neither him nor his billionaire ceo wife can't even afford a cook. Instead of all these, he could've just modify laws so that this alternate version of korea can be relevent in the modern era and not just sits on taxpayer money, including making changes where his wife can keep her job too. You say equal opportunity for all if there's no monarchy? Where? Even in democracies you only face - inequality, pay gap, hierarchy, vip culture, curruption and what not. Fantasy setting needs fantasy characters, not your messy neighbors like characters. Anyways this is just my opinion, we can agree to disagree.
So much nonsense. Is there any prime minister of a nation out there who's this idiot to throw away his extremely rewarding political career for a women whom he has never even asked out once? Then his offence was extremely high level, but they carefully avoided to address what happened to his trial. And why do he appear everywhere like a salarymen strolling during his lunch, where is his stuff, secretaries, security? Abolishing monarchy is such a bad plot too. He could've been a great leader of the nation holding his position by keeping politicians in check. They also mentioned they're not having kids, so it also such a great opportunity to give the crown back their nephew. But nope, writers are very weird.
yeah we all knew it but we can be stubborn sometimes but I liked it 🤣 by the way I love your profile I sometime…
Ikr. That's how they're, what else can we do. Forget mainstream actors, just look at state of official korean bls, most of them only have 10 minutes episodes. There are no investors who would dare to put money even after knowing the demand.

Their society is extremely tight knit with no space for personal/individual freedom. Forget about being gay, a few months back a women got attacked by a men only because she had short hair. They even throw people out of a restaurant if someone is there as a solo diner. Anything that goes against their societal order gets forcefully shut down. That's why they've a high migration rate among devolleped countries, a lot of Koreans hate their own society.

Thank you. I've already guessed it after reading the synopsis of the novel. But what's the need though-- so many dramas gets adapted to many different languages.
