There is no indication that it is canceled. Iqiyi keeps posting to remind people to make a reservation. But we don’t know for sure, will just have to wait. Although, in general, the more reservations, the more likely iqiyi will pay attention and release it.

The tone of this drama isn't a full out serious drama. So even Lord Zheng, who has been the main antagonist so far, doesn't always seem 100% evil. The actor portraying him, however, has played many a great villain, including in the recent Zhao Zhan Adventures.

As far as Zheng Shi, we have yet to see. As of episode 22, it seems that he can put his skills to use for good, but I think he mostly just cares to please Fan Yun. Maybe something is down the road that will push him one way or the other. I don't know the original story, so I'm just guessing.
