I actually didn’t read the synopsis, didn’t know what story was about. The scenes leading up to it was obvious (Tan impersonating her sister to supposedly future brother in law) and once the 3rd prince recognized Tan as she walked by to her carriage, I (screamed and) laughed so hard, anticipating the swap. 🤣🤣🤣
Try Ashes of Love- this was a popular one a few years ago.
The Starry Love is very entertaining if you don’t take the show too seriously. I don’t understand what you mean about the switch. I was totally expecting it.
Interestingly, they also made sure to mention SQ wasn't with DQC when he killed his father. Implying DQC found…
Yea Evil was not one of them. His father told him that the 7 emotions: Joy, Worry, Sadness, Pity, Love, Hate, Jealousy will be his stumbling blocks.
Oh, you’re right, he was mean to Orchid in the beginning and wanted to kill her “very, very, very much“. I think he felt he had to kill her to fool them, because later it shows his cleverness or plotting ability when he repaired the tower so it is not obvious that he has escaped.
The separation from his emotional root, plus his killing of his father, created a far more scary or “evil” image of him than may have been true in actuality. Of course his control of Hellfire automatically made him a figure to be feared. I felt that this backstory of how he was robbed of his feelings as a child and his attachment to people was forcibly removed was a clever device to get us to accept he does have a more human heart. He was pretty much given the responsibility when he was born and was forced to fulfill it. I would say he actually did more saving and than killing. LOL. 😅The only ones who got hurt were the Haishi City lot. By contrast, RH carried out more evil deeds.
Besides, with his sad story and the great styling, made him extremely good to look at and people always fall for the ‘bad guy’ when they look good. 🤣
It is not really a mistake. It just wasn't clarified in the drama. When Old Moon Supreme's spirit asked how long…
Yea they kept a tight lip on DFQC’s age (don’t know if it’s mentioned in the book), but he is suppose to be much older than CH, who is only a few hundred years during the great war. In a conversation w/ Orchid, DFQC calls CH a young boy. 🧐 So my assumption is his age is 30,000 +thousands years. He is younger than Chidi Woman, who has been in battle longer and she recognizes the ancient evil god Tai Sui instantly.
I'm not sure about the FL, but the ML is dubbed for sure, by the same voice actor that voiced the ML in Love Between…
You are right, I hear the same voice now, but the dubber is able to deliver a different personality/character that I don’t associate the ML to DFQC’s. ML’s tone is rough or grumpy, and even immature at times. DFQC is more confident, refined, and arrogant.
That elevator scene was actually spooky. I like how Tianran is often casually hanging around Sisi’s apartment like they are a married couple—she makes his dinner, they eat together regularly, watch TV, and he even sleeps over. Then her parents showed up! 😅

Even though he is a bit of a diva, I find DFQC to be quite fair and used his hellfire responsibly. He has power with self control. He fought in battles but did not start the fights, he seems to only attack when provoked or come to save Orchid. He shoulders the responsibility of the Moontribe. He is willing to admit the mistakes he thought he has made. He is willing to take the punishment and shows his commitment to his people.
One small issue I have is that they generally use 30,000 years for everything. DQC was trapped 30,000 years ago…
It is not really a mistake. It just wasn't clarified in the drama. When Old Moon Supreme's spirit asked how long he's been at bottom of the Oblivion River, it was Orchid who responded 30,000 years. I don’t think she actually knows the exact time. DFQC did not correct her estimation and he doesn't give explanations. He was a teen when he killed his father and crowned MS. He was clearly an adult at the battlefield against Chidi Woman. We only know that DFQC is over 30,000 years old since he was locked up for 30,000 years.
I'm up-to-date with this drama, I took a iQiyi's subcription mainly for Dylan Wang and to my dismay, he doesn't…
Yea…they were selling him as the ML until it premiered. Someone explained earlier that he is a “specially invited lead role" meaning a prominent actor with a status got invited for a second/third lead role or actually supporting role but they want to give the actor some face.
